Hôtel Auteuil Tour Eiffel

Overall the stay was just ok. It is walking distance to the Eiffel Tower (15-20mins) and a couple of good places to eat are really close. The room was decent the bathroom a little out dated for my taste though. I would say the customer service was excellent until I encountered the lady at the front desk. She was the RUDEST person I have ever met. I walked down to ask for directions and she constantly interrupted me. I asked her "why are you doing that?" She told me that I was being rude and that she did not have to respect me just because I was the customer. I asked her for her name and she kept telling me no. (No name tag either) just so happens that the manager walked in 10 minutes later. I did not cause a scene but I definitely told the manager that if she doesn't like people she should not work at the front desk. I have never had anyone be so blunt and rude and try to dismiss me as if I was not even there. Luckily the manager was extremely nice. However, I am not sure I would come to this hotel again. Customer service is everything to me and there are tons of hotels close by.

Good hotel in Paris near the Eiffel tower at reasonable price. Good: - Easy access - Residential location Not so good: - One of the two elevators out of service - Garage is available but very challenging - narrow but not unusual in Paris - We were on the 6th floor and the AC wasn't working properly - room was too hot.

We were in Paris to do a little more exploring of areas and museums we haven't visited previously. My wife and I stayed at this hotel 4/20/13 - 4/24/13. We chose it because we had stayed at it a couple of years ago and really liked it. In the interim it has been upgraded from 3* to 4*, which, compared to 3* hotels we've stayed in previously in Paris and Rome, was highly justified. The hotel is clean and modern and has free, fast Internet service. Most of the desk staff speak more English than we speak French and are friendly enough. Like last time we stayed here, we didn't take advantage of the breakfast or bar service. Instead, every morning we just walked one block over to Rue de Versailles to the Les Sondes restaurant and ate a pastry and drank coffee and orange juice, which is plenty for us, and for half the price as the hotel breakfast. We would also recommend Les Sondes for dinner, even though several other restaurants have popped up nearby since a couple of years ago. We didn't eat at any of them, but they might be worth checking out. We really like the food and service at Les Sondes and the people watching is excellent. The hotel location is convenient enough. It's about 1.5 miles from the Eiffel Tower, which means that if you're on foot you've got a 3.0 mile walk roundtrip before you ever walk to anywhere else from there. (Our usual routine is to walk to the Eiffel Tower after breakfast and then branch out from there to places we want to visit.) If you're not into walking, there are two other excellent options close to the hotel. You can get on the #72 bus on Rue de Versailles just a block from the hotel. It goes right along the Seine River all the way down to the Hotel de Ville, with stops at the Louvre, Trocadero, and other locations along the way. Once you get to the Hotel de Ville, you can catch buses to other parts of the city. If your feet tired, you can also catch it back to the hotel. This time we also used the BotaBus, which is a hop on, hop off water taxi service that starts at the Eiffel Tower, goes upriver to the Jardine des Plantes with several stops at places along the left bank, and then loops back around I'le St. Louis with several stops along the right bank on the way back to the Eiffel Tower. We bought a two-day pass for 21 euros each, which is more expensive than riding the bus, but it does give you a different view of the city, especially if you take the round-trip boat that leaves the Eiffel Tower at 9:30 p.m. There's also a large FranPrix grocery store half way between the hotel and Rue de Versailles which is really convenient to the hotel if you need to pick up something to eat or drink or for a picnic.

don't fool by looking at the pictures. Hotel is old and not clean. We reserved a room with a double bed and a twin bed. However, they gave us the room with 2 twin beds and extra bed. The mattress is old and not comfortable. The hotel we booked in London much better and we only paid half the price compared to Paris.

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and found it comfortable and in an extremely convenient location, but did not find the hotel special in the least. The staff was helpful and courteous, but there were a number of things that could have been improved upon. The most egregious problem was an enormous stain outside of our room door that appeared to be blood. Sure, it could have been Merlot, but why did it appear to be seeping out of the wall? The room itself was comfortable and clean enough, but the breakfast was very expensive for an unimpressive selection. Fortunately, there is a supermarket right across the street and there are a number of good restaurants nearby. Not the worst hotel we've stayed in, but definitely not worth the price.
