Very decent hotel room at an affordable price. Walking distance from the hop on-hop off water bus tour dock so you can pretty much visit the all the must-see places when in Paris. Also near a convenient store and restaurants.
Booked last minute for me and the wife to visit Paris it is hidden away down a quiet side st about 20 - 30 min walk to Eiffel Tower 10 min walk to nearest metro needed taxi at night to reach other areas slightly dated hotel ok if just want to lay head.
Hotel very good location, nice area. Reception area pleasant. Room clean but carpet was disgusting, glad I took slippers. There was a bug in the bed too! Two of us in room, only one towel of each type and one dressing gown, asked at reception for second towels and was told they didn't have any more as hotel was full, couldn't be bothered to go to laundry was the real reason. Very poor lighting in room and to top it al the room was freezing as the air conditioning didn't work properly. Corridor was filthy too. We had booked a superior room and expected much more, we asked for change of room, they said our room was superior and the had no more, needless to say, they didn't apologise, I guess they're used to people complaining!!!! The lady in the bar was the only friendly member of staff, congrats to her. We checked out, did they ask if we had, had a nice stay at the hotel......of course they didn't. The only reason this is classed as a 4 star is because it has a lift and good location, I would never stay again, nor would I recommend.
Amazing price for a 4 stars hotel that is close to all hot spots in Paris. Free wifi. Available AC. Huge beds. Nice view. Calm and cozy hotel. Breakfast buffee tastes great and is well organised. Clean place. Simply all i want for my stay.
Getting to the hotel was not very easy first of all, arrived there and was told that our reservation was cancelled by them, with no warning after travelling from Lyon to Paris before we go back home to Ireland. The front office personnel was not very accommodating ; made us feel that we do not belong to this hotel. If this is the case why is this hotel on booking.com? as we booked through booking.com after reading the reviews on tripadvisor !We had to give 50 euros as a deposit in case we open the mini bar or make a phone call ! Why were we not informed of this beforehand? We are both in the hospitality business and never did we experience a so called 4 star hotel like this and same for the staff.. We felt so small and as soon as we got the room we were shocked to see the state of the carpets as soon as we opened the door to the room, filthy and stained all over as can be seen in the photos, we were expecting to see a glance of the Eiffel tower but to our surprise when opening the curtains was more dirt and cigarettes butts everywhere! The bathroom : Tiles and the grouts were below standards for a so called 4 star! A little radiator on stand by, 1 glass for 2 adults in the room , 2 shampoos but no shower gel or soap .. thank goodness I brought a shower gel. We have stayed in 4 star hotels before hand such as Hayfield Manor in Cork Ireland and more and have always been treated same as other guests : with respect and was not looked down . Very disappointing experience over all , same for the breakfast which was 15e per head and no hot milk, half of the toaster was broken , not great value for money, we have attached some photos to explain how disdain of the place . We were also told that Booking.com was supposed to let us know that our reservation was cancelled while we got an email from your site asking how was our reservation . If you think of booking this hotel through booking.com dont expect the room shown on the pictures !!
Me and my Girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a lovely hotel situated in a very quiet area. On arrival the staff were very polite and fluent in English and explained everything about our stay very clearly to us. The room itself was very clean and tidy with a massive comfy bed and the bathroom was also very nicely kept and clean too. In terms of facilities there is free wifi which is fairly stable (We managed to stream Netflix) and there is a TV although it has mostly French channels on it, I can't comment on food and drink as we always walked around the block to A2PAS which is a local shop and brought food and drink there. (There are also many food and drink outlets on Avenue de Versailles which is just a 1 minute walk up the street) In terms of getting to the hotel and getting around we took the Eurostar to Gare Du Nord so chose to get the metro to Javel andre citroen, we also at times took the RER to Javel as the stations are seconds apart. I feel the pro's about using the Javel stations is that you have both access to the RER and Metro and you get to cross Pont Mirabeau bridge which gives you a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tour and Statue of Liberty and from here it's only around a 5 minute walk to the hotel. (From the bridge 2nd right then 4th left) All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly use this hotel again.
Nice 4* hotel close to Eiffel Tower and many other attractions. Our room was not quite 4*, but personnel was very kind to solve each issue. All very supportive. Breakfast was really good and with lot of selections
After a horrendous experience with Airbnb I booked this hotel located 1.5km from Tour Eiffel . Located in a quiet street 1 block from busy Versailles is closed to metro, restaurant and 2 blocks from river. This is an upmarket area (15) to walk at nights and all ammenities you need even a supermarket accros the road. The rooms are really comfortable good heating system and cleaners team deserve a 10!! . Front desk very professional. Buffet breakfast a little overpriced. I would not have chosen better for 2 people eur$100
Firstly the lady at reception during the mornings was helpful and polite, however the man at reception at night was extremely rude. He made a point not to speak English and act like he didn't understand it at all, which I find confusing as he works at a hotel???? Also, the reception is the only clean area of the hotel. The rooms are dark and dingy, stains on the floor and curtains and the hallways smelt of cigarette smoke. I didn't completely believe the reviews telling me not to go so it's really my fault however Novotel which was of similar pricing and closer to the Eiffel tower was booked up. We did have our room cleaned but quite honestly made no difference. I'm a Londoner and walk a lot so I didn't hate the walk to the Eiffel tower but it was relatively long. At one point just to be rude when we called for two forks we asked to wait for 30 minutes. This receptionist at check out practically pulled my credit card out of my hand and was so obnoxious. Also, we kept our curtains closed as our view was of a terrace flooded in water (not that there was a view of anything except for another set of flats). Literally in front of the hotel is a supermarket which is helpful and on the main road there are restaurants. It is an 8 minute walk to the metro so not bad. Overall however, never again!
The hotel isn't terrible, but certainly not a four star establishment. It's pretty run down and the rooms were a bit grubby, but we were only staying one night so we weren't all that bothered. The only annoying thing I guess is that we probably paid more than what we got, but without knowing what other "four star" hotels in the area are charging it's hard to say. On the plus side, the staff were all friendly and efficient.
