Water was leaking from bath tub. Super compact rooms.

Overall it was nice in a quiet area. Not super walkable but very close to metro. Could have better wifi.

This hotel may not be in the chicest district, but it was certainly a nice and well-kept place in a decent part of town. This is close to the Paris Metro and out of the way of some of the hustle and bustle at the really big attractions. Rooms were nice and fairly spacious, though the bathroom set up has to be seen to be believed. Make no mistake about it, that is a window from the bedroom into the shower and bathroom. The shower floor is even raised up to make for some interesting ... viewing. They also didn't seem to entirely think through the doors on the shower as the water is not contained very well when the shower is on. Aside from that, the overall style is excellent, and this seems to be one of the nicer places to stay in all of Paris. You'll also find more space here for the money than you'd expect elsewhere.

the hotel was under construction which meant the corridors were very rough and a strong chemical smell. the staff were very kind considering and at least it wasn't overpriced.

Staff friendly. near food and grocery. Subway very close. remodeling in progress. Good neighborhood.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the Holiday Inn, St Germaine des Pres. The reception staff speak excellent English and are very quick and made executive decisions to accommodate our needs. The location is excellent. An escalator delivered us out of the Metro station to the street level and 50 steps to the hotel. The near-by bistros are delicious and about two blocks to Le Bon Marche' grand epicure where everything is available: Whole Foods: eat your heart out... We enjoyed a drink at the hotel bar and the bartender was excellent.

Newly remodeled, perfectly located, excellent staff, and efficiently managed! I have stayed there for many years, it's my Paris home away from home, in what is now my ' Hood'.

Location is pretty good but not perfect. Everything else was very good. Clean rooms, stylishly decorated and comfortable beds.

The room was great! Bed was extremely comfortable and a stones throw from Saint-Placide station. The bathroom was annoying, every time I took a shower the bathroom floor was completely soaked, and there was a see through, sliding door on it, but not bad enough for me to not like it, just not my taste. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke English very well, and we're very patient with me trying out my French as well! Overall, would stay here again in a heartbeat, but probably ask for more towels because of the annoying bathroom situation.

Rooms are very small and dark. Room size the equivalent of a cruise ship cabin, "tiny". Breakfast, not worth your $.

I like to stay in the Porte d'Orleans neighborhood which is one end of the No. 4 Metro line. The Holiday Inn St. Germain was between Porte d'Orleans and central Paris. It's location made getting to most points of interest very easy. The staff was friendly, bi-lingual (anglais-francais), and very professional. I hope to return someday soon. The room we had was quiet and had a state-of-the -art bathroom with a great shower head!

Modern facilities, great bed, nice decoration although the rooms are a bit dark, and the bathroon has no privacy at all. Normal room size for Paris standards. All staff was very helpful and english speaking. A metro station is a couple of blocks away.

While in a great location will not likely go back to this hotel. Hotel room needs work. Not very comfortable. Dark paint, dark curtains and dark carpet make for a gloomy and already small room. Lobby is more comfortable than the room.

Very nice staff and easy to access hotel from two Metra stations. Hotel room was recently updated with Modern look and very comfortable. Would stay here again.

This hotel is well located for seeing the sights of Paris. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had and they all spoke English. The room was very comfortable with its own bath that was very modern. The location was about 1 block from the Metro station. You can get anywhere in Paris on the Metro. Buy a day pass and you can take as many rides as you want. There are restaurants, bakeries, sidewalk cafes, and shopping in all directions from the hotel within a very short walk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to experience Paris.

the hotel is very nice , situated near the Montparnasse train station and near rue de rennes . The room is clean , the bed is comfortable . Galerie lafayette is near by , and the metro saint placide is very near .It is very convenient to go to saint germain des pres , Notre Dame church .

The hotel remodel was worth the wait! We arrived just after the New Year so the lobby was still very festive from the Christmas Holidays. The staff is wonderful especially Maria, Brice and Gaberial. They speak the most fluent English and are the most helpful when you need assistance with booking shuttles, cabs, or directions to great resturants. The rooms are great - although I wouldn't recommend for families with young children. The bathroom has a glass window that is visable to the bedroom although they do have a blind you can shut - may be uncomfortable for those a little too curious. An expensive lesson learned after the 2nd meal - we thought breakfast was included in our rate. It wasn't and their bunch isn't worth the $18 EUROS per person (approx $24 USD) - Run to the monoprix get some instant coffee to get you going then grab something in a cafe along the way. It is easier on the budget plus you get to experience Paris and all the great places they have to share. The hotel is located in a residential area of Paris. It is less than a block walk to the Metro (Line 4 St. Placide stop) This metro location is just one stop from a major train hub to connect to any of the other lines.

New hotel, modern and very efficient. Multi lingual helpful reception staff. Small rooms typical of Capital hotels deperately need closet and drawer space. Its located walking distance to the Latin Quarter, and there's a metro station a hundred mtrs away. Main road crossing provides many taxis. Dont order one from the hotel they take too long in arriving. Eat breakfast out of the hotel unless your price includes it, its very expensive and poor value.

Our stay was good overall. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was undergoing renovations so it was not as nice as expected, but understandably so.

Hotel is located within 1 block of Metro stops and 6 blocks from train station(Montparnesse). Very crowded area but becomes easier to navigate when you adust to the FAST pace of life there. Many small restaurants and shops. Bon Marche grocery/department store is 4 blocks away and is amazing! Room was small but clean.
