Clean room helpful staff fantastic stay well equipped room perseid location could not ask for better offered excellent food although I would have preferred an all night bar to be there otherwise fantastic
This hotel has been totally refurbished and was spotless. The quality of kitchen utensils was fine but a few more wine glasses and coffee cups would have been appreciated. The location is great 2 minutes to metro 10 minutes to garde Lyon.Grocery store right across street lots of bars and restaurants close by
Perfect for the price. Not fancy, just simple. The studio we booked was a bed, desk, tv, small bathroom and a small kitchen - equipped with microwave, mini fridge, dishwasher, crockery/ cutlery and a few pots and pans. The room is not made up daily, unless you pay extra. It is made weekly if you stay that long. They also have a laundry service. The only negatives would be that it is right near a hospital, so lots of loud sirens regularly. Also no air con, and the shower spills onto the floor a lot.
This Citadines delivers excellent value for the money. I had a Studio room. The bedroom and bathroom were both of a decent size, roomier than what you'd find in a typical 3* hotel in Paris. The kitchenette included a sink, cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher. The location is in the middle of a pleasant residential neighborhood -- just a few steps to the local shops where folks do their shopping, with a small supermarket across the street. Metro station Reuilly-Diderot (lines 1 & 8) is just around the corner. And the Promenade Plantée is just a few minutes walk. If you don't know about the Promenade, it's a magnificent place (very similar to New York's High Line), and a wonderful to spend some time in Paris. For a 1st-time visitor to Paris who is (understandably) interested in ticking off all the well-known sites, this hotel might not be such a good choice. And there are some important differences between the Citadines formula and a traditional hotel that you should be aware of (you do not get daily room cleaning, for example). But if you've been to Paris before and are looking for clean, comfortable, reasonably-priced accommodation in a nice neighborhood, this hotel is definitely worth a look.
Very nice rooms with comfortable beds, bathroom and a little kitchen. Even a small balcony, with quiet environment.. You can eat in your room buying food in the nearby restaurants or markets. Ask for housekeeping (extra charge), otherwise it is quite disappointing. Location is very, very convenient, just a 50 mts from the metro station.
We stayed overnight in Paris coming from the north and heading to the south. The hotel was close enough to the Gare de Lyon to allow us to walk with rolling luggage. It also had a laundry which we took advantage of . It lacked air conditioning and any sense of decor. It was okay but not great. However, there are many fine cafes and restaurants nearby. It works well as a stopover but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
Compared to the London Citadines Trafalgar Sq, this stay was very disappointing. A pity since it is only 1 block from the Reuilly-Diderot station on the #1 line and has several cafés nearby, two small grocery stores, a pharmacy, and a tasty Indian Restaurant across the street. The lobby had no central air, the coffee station was not available 24/7 and there were no lids provided for the cups. The rooms had no AC (outside temps 87-91 degrees)...there was only two small portable tabletop fans for the living room and bedroom areas...so neither room was ever cool...the exterior terrace had standing water so we did not leave the door open for ventilation due to mosquitoes; the room with the couch was very cramped when the bed was extended; the sofa pullout bed was not 2 twin (which was a fab surprise in the U.K); the extra deadbolt did not work on the entry door the light outside our room only dimly lit the threshold and surroundings and we were adjacent to exterior stairs and not within the main part of the hotel...not a secure feeling. Additionally, the shower/tub had only a small partition, a clogged shower head which spurted in every direction and the tub had no curtain, so there was the inevitable wet floor after every person's use; facial tissues in the bathroom are not standard fare and we were told by the not so friendly desk clerk on the last night there (8/29), in front of other patrons, that there was a CHARGE each time towels were received after the initial issuance...though they were constantly used for bathroom cleanup and that was not noted on our reservation. She was the least friendly of the staff encountered and when we returned to our room after dark that night, the security door on our floor was propped open by some type of cable installation that was left incomplete. I would not recommend a summer stay and be prepared to be SELF guided. This location is in need of quite a few simple but much needed modern upgrades.
the flat is very close to the subway station, markets, shops, restaurants and services. the flat was nice. the kitchen was well equipped and clean. friendly anf helpfull staff. unfortunately the bathroom was a bit old and not very clean.
This was our 3rd time staying here. It is wonderful. Room is a decent size with good amenities in the kitchenette. Very convenient location. Metro station just at end of street, easy walk to Gare de Lyon for ongoing travel. There is a supermarket just across the road and a lovely boulangerie just around the corner near the metro station. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Also easy access to the Promanade Plantee walk ontop of the viaduc which is really pretty.
For the fact that we were in Paris and this is off the main tourist line, this place is quite satisfactory. The staff are quite friendly and recent renovations have upgraded the rooms and the lobby and lounge area. The room is no frills and since we were in Paris, that was fine by us. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have - or at least ours did - a kitchen so that eating out for every meal is not necessary. The neighborhood is great with a fantastic restaurant across the street (L'Aubergeade), relaxing cafes and great bookstores. The rates are affordable for Paris and a metro stop is on the corner. For us, it was a perfect solution.
