Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The property had a cockroach infestation, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, there was construction work on the roof during my stay, making it impossible to open the window, which severely impacted the ventilation. The accommodation has no fans, and the air was filled with a strong smell of insecticide and cigarette smoke, making the environment quite unpleasant. Although the neighborhood is safe and well connected, the listing does not match the reality of the place. It is neither elegant nor comfortable, as advertised. I even had to buy two fans just to be able to sleep, which was an unexpected and frustrating expense. As the saying goes, cheap ends up being expensive.

Stressful

It was very stressful to find this location as the address that is listed on the listing does not match the address when you click on the maps. The directions, once we clicked the map took us to a completely different Suburb of Paris on the opposite end. Which happened to be nowhere near our planned destinations. (Large reason why we picked this property).Overall the property appeared to be clean had a slight smell of cigarettes. We also noticed a few small Cockroaches roaming about the facility. None seen in the cupboards that we could see. The heat and air conditioning unit was not functioning and there was no way to change it from heat to air or at least there were no instructions on how to do so.Recommend to bring sleep eye covering because the only windows in the appointment are above the bed and curtains only cover a portion making it very bright at 630 AM (late May time).

Infested with roaches

Absolutely TERRIBLE! Do NOT stay here!! Started out with the wrong address being on the property listing, there are 2 of these addresses in Paris, 30 minutes away from each other. We went to the wrong address so it was multiple expensive Ubers. We had to text the property manger in order to be sent the correct address. We also could not open the “check in guide” that was sent. When we arrived at the VRBO, the lobby of the apartment complex smelled rancid. We walked into our apartment and found roach after roach after roach. They were alive and every time you turned around a new one appeared. From the couch, kitchen, utensil drawer, the entire apartment was covered. We immediately called the property manager and no one answered. We called multiple times with no response. We started calling VRBO headquarters and the representatives would not let us leave the apartment. We stood in the roach infested apartment for 2 hours until we finally had enough. The representatives (multiple because we had to recall to get more answers), said they had to check that it was unlivable (it 100000% was unlivable). It has now been 4 days and they still have not given us any answers. Absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!! We now realized that a person had reviewed a month previous that there was a roach problem when they stayed. Therefore, this is an ongoing issue that they have yet to resolve. During the fiasco, they sent a person with bug paste to seal the cabinets. This is NOT a long term fix.

Not what I expected

The location of the property was not advertised correctly. It was located outside of the city despite the map and address being downtown. There was also a lot of cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom.
