The house was great! We were a group of 6 that was visiting the upper peninsula for the first time and used the house as a home base from which to see other spots. It's only 10 minutes from the Shipwreck Museum, which is a MUST to see, 2 hours from Pictured Rocks, 1 hour from Oswald's Bear Sanctuary, 1 hour from Sault Ste. Marie (Soo Locks), and 30 minutes from Tahquamenon Falls. The house had everything needed for a relaxing time after exploring the UP.

This is a spacious house with a fun kids’ room with 4 twin beds. nice living room, good size kitchen table, and another sitting room in back. Kitchen with a reasonable amount of dishes, pots, pans and some basic spices. Comfortable bedrooms upstairs with good dresser storage, could use some hangers (none found in any of the closets). water pressure was very sensitive and we couldn’t run 2 water sources simultaneously. easy access to a sandy beach that goes on forever and has a very wide sandbar so the kids were able to go out very far! we didn’t see any rocks on the beach but whitefish point had ample rocks. we weren’t able to use the outdoor space given the mosquitos at this time of year. the house had a bunch of fans to keep mosquitos away, which was appreciated. we didn’t use the front door and only came in the side carefully to try to avoid bringing mosquitos in, but i think it was just that time of year. the side mud room type space was helpful for trying to avoid bringing in bugs, sand or dirt.

We were a party of 4 adults and this house served our needs very well. A comfortable and well stocked home. The first floor bedroom is smaller with a comfortable queen bed, two side tables, no closet, and an attached full bath that also opens to the kitchen. We enjoyed the roomy enclosed porch off the kitchen at the back of the house and a very nice fire pit in the front. The lake and beach are across the street and easily accessed by a path between two houses. Convenient location for seeing the eastern UP.

Snow or no snow.

We loved the property and would consider making the trip an annual one. Made the best of our trip riding in the woods and being site seeing tourists.
