We stayed here for our honeymoon as recommended by Thomas Cook. We literally had the best 10 days we could have asked for. It was quiet, peaceful, the views were picturesque and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Of all the holidays we have been on, we have never wanted to revisit a hotel. This hotel has changed that and we will be booking as soon as possible so we can to return. The hotel is an absolute gem, the sister hotel is just next door it’s a bonus you can use the all inclusive package next door too. The food was divine and we couldn’t stop eating it. If you’re a couple and in need of some relaxation, come to this hotel, you will not regret it.
We have just come back after a week at the Coral Bay. On arrival we were put in the Sentido Thalasso hotel which is right next door to the big hotel, we were very happy about as this as it is adult only. Having said that we would have been happy to stay in the Coral Beach. We found the whole experience excellent, the hotel is spotless, the food was very good and the staff are really friendly, they can not do enough for you, we have had the best holiday, so much so that we are booking to go back in September for 10 days. The weather was great only a little bit of cloud on one day, not bad at all for April. I would like to mention Adrian at the Thalasso, a cheeky chappie from Romania who is a credit to the hotel, he is happy, friendly and entertaining. This hotel is excellent, we would recommend it.
Just returned from a very pleasant stay. Adults only. Lovely room with amazing views. Sunset incredible. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were very good. Nice outside seating area with waiter service. Staff pleasant and helpful. You can use sister hotel, Coral Beach Hotel.
Lovely beach with a few bars. Well worth a visit, I'd take a pinic.if you want to just relax swim and chill out. In march the beach isnt busy so you can have pesonal space and be packed in.Take bus 615 from paphos €1.50 or €5 for all day ticket. After 9pm price goes up.
This hotel is perfect for those who want to relax in peace and quiet but was a bit too quiet for us in the evenings as most nights there was only a piano player/organic / electric violin in the background during dinner. The highlight was Friday evenings when it was Chinese night in the restaurant and an excellent guitar player/singer with a rendition of Wonderful Tonight by Yannis, one of the waiters! It was very dark outside in the evenings with candlelight but this added to the ambience. We went to the sister hotel next door a couple of times to listen to live bands (served all inclusive drinks) and also up to Coral Bay 'strip' where the Millennium bar had a great soul singer on a Thursday night. We did go for our one free visit to the al a carte on our wedding anniversary but I didn't order the asparagus starter as I was told it would take an hour. This was a fine dining experience and nice for a special occasion. We also had a good glass of red wine on the house to celebrate and a surprise bottle of sparkling wine in the room. Thank you. We did have trouble getting a sun bed by the pool as we didn't get up early to put the towels down but found there was usually room down by the beach bar. The sun went off this garden by mid afternoon but as we had a west facing balcony with sun beds, we could go up and relax on them instead. The overall cleanliness and service in the hotel was excellent with special thanks to Olga in the restaurant with her dry wit! Special mention to the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
Stayed here in November. Asked for a room close to the beach and when we checked in Ewan was lovely, remembered my email too. Room was nice, lovely view but maybe needed a bit of TLC. Food was great, plenty of choice and George always had a smile and seemed a very genuine guy. A lovely week. Our first time in Cyprus but will be returning.
I stayed here in April with my grown up daughter for a wonderfully relaxing week with amazing service. Beautiful location, clean and comfortable but the outstanding thing about this hotel is how good the staff are. Courteous, smiling, helpful - each and every one of them. We were so well looked after whether we were by the pool, in the bar, or in the restaurant - and the a la carte is superb. Special mention to Cristos and to the umbrella man for their kindness and first class service. This isn’t a 5 star hotel to compare with Claridges or the Ritz but it is so relaxing and the staff are attentive. We loved that it wasn’t part of ‘the strip’ - the last time I went to Coral Bay it was an empty beach with a shack selling seafood so I was a little shocked at how it has changed - and that the entertainment was low key. I would rate service, value and location all as 5 star but I can’t make this part work. We said we would be back - and we have booked to go again in April 2018. We tried another Sentido in September but it wasn’t a patch on Thalassa Coral Bay. Can’t wait for April now!
We decided to come here for a week after receiving an end-of-season offer from Thomas Cook. We have never visited Cyprus before so it ticked several boxes. With the Euro being so expensive, an all-inclusive deal seemed like a good idea, and so it has proved to be. The location is lovely: our room was overlooking the tennis court and the beach, so we enjoyed the sunsets. Having 100 rooms, and being 16+ only, the place has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, from waiting staff to cleaners, reception, pool bar etc etc. The food, for a buffet system, is very good and we have enjoyed the theme nights - Italian, Asian, Greek etc. The choice is wide ranging and should suit all tastes. If you have allergies, the cards noting allergens at the side of each dish are a helpful addition. If I were to be very picky, I might comment that some of the bedroom furniture is a little worn, but having said that, the bed was enormous, far bigger than our king size at home. The location is good: although it is well outside Paphos, local buses run very regularly at a cost of €1.50 per journey or €5 for a day pass. The bus stop is minutes from the hotel. If you want a wander into Coral Bay, again that is a few minutes' walk, and useful for walking off dinner! 5 star? Don't expect Claridges or the Waldorf. It's a very good hotel with friendly staff, comfy beds, excellent food and a lovely location. What's not to like??
Amazing week here. All staff very welcoming and we've made some nice friends. Looking forward to returning soon. Choice of food is very good and always cooked well. Definitely upgrade to the Silver band (reasonable cost) as there are plenty of benefits if you do. The spa treatments are fantastic. The positioning of the hotel is very good, right on Coral Bay. We hired a car to tour the north part of the island. Cyprus is quite beautiful.
Our fourth visit so that tells you something! Service is excellent, food is spot on. The evening entertainment is low key - that suits us but if you want a bustling night life then this is not the place for you. Already booked for next year!
