We love the Calypso and surrounding things to do! The condo was nice and clean, but lacked decor and the furniture was mismatched and somewhat old. Would have been nice to have storage containers in the kitchen to use. Always made sure to check the dinnerware as some items still had stuck on food as dishwasher must not have cleaned well before housekeeping put them away. Overall we had a great time and weather. Sad that the booking agent wanted to charge 80 to check in 4 hours early.

Good location and property. It was as described. I felt like the floors were dirty when we checked in though. After walking barefoot in the condo my feet were very dirty very quickly. I don't know what they used to clean the floors but perhaps a wet vac might have better results than what is being used.

A nice place relatively clean just some of the smaller details were overlooked. Dust on pictures and on top of the mirrors, some of the pots and pans were warped and in kind of rough shape. It has your basics. The third bedroom is very smalI and you are not able to walk around it or have anywhere to store your luggage/belongings but the beds were very comfortable and clean. Overall it is a very nice place/location and we would definitely stay there again.

Great location

The location was great and the elevators were very efficient. The condo is a little out dated but I wasn’t there for the decor. The biggest issue for a 3 star is the morning of check out I’m alone since my family left the day before, trying to load everything on the cart in my room. Check out is at 9. At 7:45 my door gets opened which caught me off guard that someone had the code and trying to come inside. Thankfully I had the chain latched so she couldn’t come in. I see it’s a lady so I open the door slightly with the chain still on and it’s a cleaner wanting to drop off clean linens. I let her put them inside the door but if that chain was not on the door she could have just walked right in. The cleaners should not be coming to the room before checkout. She said she was very sorry and didn’t want to wake me but I would have been more freaked out had I woke up and realized someone had accessed the room while I was sleeping. Never had this happen before.

Spring break

We had a fantastic spring break in this condo. It was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and we had so many towels! We loved having the use of two beach chairs every day. We heard others complaining about the check in and parking process with their rentals and I was so thankful we didn’t have any issues at all. Communication with the host was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice area/building, but condo okay

The calypso was a nice place and had a great facility. Nice pools, beach, and workout room. Our only negative was we had no television that actually had local channels. We couldn’t even get our phones/table to screen cast on it. We arrived Saturday and when we contacted someone about it on Monday they were still no help. We had to watch football and tv on our phones. The condo was nice but had some outdated living room furniture (such as a broken recliner). There was also a broken chaise lounge on the patio. The views were amazing of the beach and I saw dolphin every day in the ocean. The condo was close to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Family Vacation

Sliding door was difficult to open. Toilet paper holder broke in bathroom. No drain stoppers in bathroom. The livingroom furniture needs updated. The real issue was trying to get to get to room on arrival. Everynody checking in at 4 and you couldn't get on an elevator or down the halls with luggage carriers.

The location is great and the condo has potential to be amazing! The location and resort itself keeps this condo busy. But….. there was 2 forks ! For a place that can occupy 9 people. The bed in master bedroom was worse then sleeping on the floor. The furniture is very outdated, a chair in living room looks to be self- reupholstered with random fabric on seat. You can see the staples holding it together. And the walls need to be repainted. Overall my family made the best of it and had a wonderful time celebrating my oldest daughter’s 16th birthday. Now I understand “ due to COVID new guidelines” but 2 forks?? You’re welcome for buying more and leaving them! A little updating and properly equipping this condo would cut down on the negative reviews.

Left a lot to be desired

My family stayed here for a week, during which the AC unit stopped working for about 3 full days. After 4 phone calls and an email finally someone came to fix the AC. Apparently, the problem was black sludge blocking it up because this resort never cleans their pipes! After he emptied gallons of black sludge from the AC unit it did work after a few sweaty nights. The room itself is outdated and had sandy floors upon our arrival. The couch and bedding have stains as well. The pools on this property were also very dirty to the point I was uncomfortable in them. Unfortunately this condo was not up to our standards or what we were hoping for considering the money spent. The free beach chairs and umbrella are the best part, but make sure you claim them by 2 in the afternoon or the chair company will put them up!! We love PCB but definitely will not be staying here again.

Furnishing are bad.

The sofa and chairs are old mismatched and appeared to be second hand junk. The primary suite bedcovering were threadbare and just plain awful. We went and purchased and entire sheet and comforter set. We then covered the sofa with sheets as well. The secondary bedroom coverlet has exposed unraveled edges, no bottom sheet and the toilet paper holder in hall bathroom was broken. The washing machine was full of black soot of some kind and the dryer was rusted. Our third year at Calypso and this was the worst furnished. The resort views, pool and cleanliness is 5 stars.

If you have little kids be careful

The Calypso was a beautiful place to stay. Great location, wonderful rooms but not the cleanest. It took our 2 year old grandson about 10 minutes to find an outlet behind recliner with no cover. Needless to say I was horrified because he is very curious, it could have been bad. We later found the cover in a drawer! There was no bath plug for master bath so I couldn’t even take a bath. I found 2 dead flys in the bathroom also. Be sure to bring cleaning wipes along, I wiped down all counters and tables and it was very dirty.

Beautiful place

The floors were dirty. Our feet were black. It needs a deep clean. Artificial plants are caked with dust. Linens were salty. Dried food was at the edges of the living room. Like maybe someone is just sweeping and doing lightly what needs to be done. There was VERY LOUD construction above us. So loud we couldnt even talk to each other. When i reported it i was told no scheduled work was found. It lasted all week from 8 to 5. I also requested 4 times by email and text for a noon check out instead of 9 am, but never got a response. The construction wouldnt have been such a problem except we had my 10 month old granddaughter and her naps were disturbed. And the nasty floors were a problem for her. There was no mop in the unit so we cleaned best we could. The grout was black and it shouldve been a cream/tan. My daughter has a service dog for her seizures and he was so sick from all the noise from the construction. All construction information should be available for guests so they can plan accordingly. We also had someone break the door facing trying to enter at 3 am. Maintenance had to come and fix it.
