First off I’d like to say, I’ve stayed in Vacasa properties previously and have never had a bad experience. However, this experience this go around was terrible. It started a day before we arrived when we received a phone call telling us that the washing machine was not functioning, but would be fixed between 10-2 the following day. This was not a huge problem.
Upon check-in, we found out that the listing price for parking passes was inaccurate. It was an additional $20 compared to the original description. Therefore, I called Vacasa to let them know and ask for a $20 refund which I received no problem.
Once we checked in, we noticed the lack of cleanliness within the kitchen. There was an empty apple juice bottle in a drawer. Also, there was food all over the cooking utensils.
The following day, we came back up from the beach assuming our washing machine would be fixed as told. It was not, so we called again and were told they would come out the next day and bring us fresh towels due to the fact we could not wash any.
Once again the next day, nobody showed up. We were told once again the same exact thing. At this point, we had no clean towels, and no way to wash anything. We had to go and buy our own towels.
Upon departure, I called once again for a final time to ask for a refund for the lack of amenities as well as cost of towels. We were told we would receive a portion of a refund and a call from the staff 5 days in a row. None of this happened.
