Great location. Suites are large and comfortable. Always very clean inside and out of the resort. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great location excellent customer services, no so updated facility.

i have been a patron of Marquis villas for over 20 years and love experience. I have moved to NY but will continue to stay at Marquis while visiting Ca !

it was very peaceful and quiet lounging at the pool in the afternoon. The parking was very conveniently located-1 elevator ride up and we were in our room.

Very friendly staff and great location. Close to town and all the restaurants. Rooms are large and clean. Cindy and Char were courteous and very helpful.

Enjoyed the villa and will do it again. A good place to have a family gathering.

Didn't expect hotel to be so huge. The room was cozy and spacious for a family of 3. Baby friendly

I would stay there again for sure. It was great for the price. Great location. Nice huge rooms. Beds were just OK.

The room was HUGE, king bed, full kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms with a garden tub. The patio outside the full glass wall was about40 feet long. The resort is a short walk to downtown and many great places to eat. The pool area was very nice, even had a grill if you wanted to cook out. My only complaints were the WI-FI was spotty (I was a long way from the front desk and the shower would not get hot in the morning. I mentioned this to the front desk so I would guess they have already fixed it.

Good stay but no housekeeping service during stay. Guess they don't provide that? Also, check out was at 10am? Never stayed anywhere where it was that early. Room had seen its better day but was comfortable. Bed was good. Room layout was very good and had full kitchen. Good restaurants nearby.

I don't understand how people complained in the past about this hotel. They were nice at the front desk, the room was large and well kept.Checkout was easy.I didn't use the pool though so no idea about that. Only two things that I would change... I'd switch to a different couch as the couch in the room (at least the couch in my room) was very uncomfortable. Not sure if that is the same kind of couch in all rooms. Large high wood arms, the back was tall and stiff. The only other thing is that there two remotes for the tv in the bedroom. They both made power come onto it, but I couldn't get either to make a picture come on the screen. Good thing I'm not really a fan of watching the tv in bed so I didn't call down to the front desk.

Do not listen to all the negative reviews, this is a great place to stay,if you go on vaction for the condition of the hall way carpet it may not be for you !

Needs a major upgrade, coffee in lobby was like a motel 6. Grounds were nice and manicured.

Perfect location and friendly staff. Suites are very comfortable.

The property appears to be a condo, possibly former time-share. The individual units are very large, comfortable spaces. The carpets, drapes, bedspreads, etc. are showing their age a little and could use some updating. But the location is convenient and the lodging is overall very comfortable.

The location and size of the villas are the attraction to this property. The carpet, furniture and TV's are in need of replacement. If they would invest in those things listed this place could be 4.5 + star rating.

I stayed at this hotel 25 years ago and it hasn't changed since then. The limited staff I experienced (front desk, one or two housekeepers) were pleasant and professional. The feel of the hotel seemed different to me than in the past and when I Google'd Diamond Resorts International, who now runs the hotel, I found the tag line stated they were "a leader in hospitality and vacation ownership." Timeshare is what I gleaned from this. There's nothing wrong with a timeshare in my opinion if it's done right, but a two-star timeshare? Not for me. The room was a huge one-bedroom with full kitchen, full bath with shower and soaking tub and huge dressing area, but the furniture was tragic and the beds (I had two doubles, I think) weren't good and the bed covers and linens were icky. The TV in the bedroom was awful and not flat screen and the living room flat screen looked first generation. The appliances in the kitchen were original from the 80s. I had no maid service the first night of two. I didn't use the pool or other amenities, though I did park in the secure underground parking that was just fine. This is a dated property that has a lot of potential. I got what I paid for so I'm not complaining, but I have learned I'm not a two-star person and if you're wondering if you are, set your expectations low if you choose this property and maybe you'll be surprised...otherwise, you'll understand why I wrote this review.

Check in was quick. The staff was friendly. Our room needed the smoke detector batteries changed and the front desk sent someone within 20 minutes of my call down. I was impressed by there response time as it was almost midnight when I called down. The rooms are huge. The patio is great. This hotel has been under renovation a while so I was disappointed when I saw our room had yet to be redone. The furnishings are old and the bed wasn't very comfortable but everything was at least in working order. It's in a great location for walking around downtown. I've stayed here many times and probably will again but Ill wait till the renovations are done, which I think they said was another 12 months.

Char; Jose; and the rest of the staff took care of all of our problems, and necessities! Char is a really good manager, and doesn't hesitate to take care of anything you need, or any problem that needs to be fixed! It was very enjoyable at the Marquis Villas! The only thing that needs to be replaced is the hallway rug!

Had a great time the elevators are up and working which is a huge plus if your staying on the 3rd floor. Had a blast at the pool
