Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and fell far below expectations.When we arrived, we immediately found several issues: the hammock was covered in mold, the patio cushions also had mold, the lawn chairs were broken, knobs fell off the towel closet and kitchen drawers when touched, and the bathroom sink wouldn’t drain (which we ended up fixing ourselves). We informed the host right away, but instead of addressing any of the problems, they replied with, “How are you settling in?”—which felt dismissive given the list of concerns.Throughout our stay, additional issues arose. The Florida room roof leaks when it rains, and later in the trip the air conditioning went out. To the host’s credit, they did send someone to repair the AC. However, the final and most serious problem was sewage backing up into the toilet, which could not be plunged. There was a construction crew working out front, so it’s unclear whether they contributed to the issue, but regardless it made the home unusable and extremely unsanitary.The host did refund us for the remainder of the trip once the sewage issue occurred, but we still had to secure and pay for a hotel on short notice, which added significant stress and inconvenience.The listing states “no refunds,” and after this experience, we understand why. This stay involved multiple safety, cleanliness, and maintenance problems that should have been addressed before guests arrived. At this time, we cannot recommend this property.....
