The rooms were a nice size with comfortable beds. A short walk to town and short drive to the airport. We had a corner room, which brought in a nice breeze when the windows were open.

I was charged for a 'late' check-in (after 10pm) which seemed strange. That aside I had emailed to confirm my late check in due to a late flight arrival time. On the day of my arrival I was emailed at 9.15pm saying that if I did not reply (by 10pm!!) to confirm that I was still checking in that night that my room would be given away. As you can imagine that was pretty annoying.

Very close to the airport but when we checked in the room smelled badly of cigarette smoke despite their no-smoking policy. When we asked for another room we were told the hotel was fully booked. I suspect that was a lie because there were no cars in the car park and people were not coming and going. It's a cheap hotel with weird hostel-style rules such as a rather threatening notice in the lobby about leaving your key or being subject to a £10 charge. And something about not being able to get in after 10pm but I didn't pay much attention to that one as we were in for the night due to an early flight the next morning. The room was clean (other than the bad ciggy smell) and the area is quiet despite being inner-city and close to the airport. But our stay really left us with a bad taste as I could smell the cigarette odor all night and it was all over our clothes throughout the next morning. And the lie about being fully booked. Utter BS.
