Welcome to Hale Nihi Bed & Breakfast. We are located on Maui’s North Shore, on Baldwin Avenue in Historic Paia Town. Staying here at Hale Nihi B&B, you will enjoy the convenience of being within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes, with access to post office, bank services, and yoga studios, while also having the opportunity to visit sites such as the Great Paia Peace Stupa (recently visited by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in April 2007) and the world-renowned surf spot, Ho’okipa Beach Park, along with some of Maui’s most beautiful sandy beaches.

Paia has a rich history as a former sugar plantation town. Evidence of its history can still be seen today, as remnants of the Old Paia Sugar Mill still stands in the distance and sugar cane is still being grown in clear view. Perfect place for a couple

This little cottage had everything we needed for a couple of days of exploring Paia and the beach. Easy walking distance to town and a much longer walk to the beach. Avis was very responsive and friendly.
We saw sea turtles at the beach, about a 20 minute walk from the cottage.

Close to downtown, but quiet and a bit out of the way

It has everything you need for making light meals. The bed is comfortable. The internet works. It was spotless. Parking was three steps from the front door. Total privacy. What's to not like?

Awesome Maui Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay in Paia, a cute, well thought out space that allowed us to walk everywhere. This is such a convenient location with the amenities for a wonderful stop along the Road to Hana. We couldn’t have been more pleased and would recommend!

Limited availability means don’t go lots of vagrants/deadbeats in location. No natural light in unit but bed comfy, hot plate useless and no electric kettle, and somebody kept fridge plugged in but turned off cool so our expensive shop wasted.

Convenient room for two

Walking distance to Paia restaurants and shopping is the big appeal here. The room is nice and clean. It has the essentials but it isn’t anything spectacular. The air conditioner worked great and cooled the room quickly. The bed was good but the pillows were uncomfortable. Walls are a bit thin and neighbors woke me up a couple of times. Avis was quick to respond to messages.

Lovely little spot!

This property was an amazing find for a quick 2-night stay in Paia Town! It was extremely comfortable, clean, and stocked with so many amenities/touches that exceeded our expectations (including coffee/tea fixings, basic condiments, plenty of kitchen dishes/appliances/hot plate/etc., shower gel/shampoo, and extra linens). With limited accommodation options in this area, we were pleasantly surprised to find such a gem. Avis was so friendly and very quick to communicate when we had a couple of questions. Her care for and pride in this space is so evident. We loved the quick walk into the main stretch of town at our leisure, especially as parking down here is such a challenge. So easy and enjoyable. The only detail that I would be aware of prior to selecting this property is that the walls are very thin. If I recall, the listing reviews/details are very transparent on this point, and it is even discussed on the information sheet present in the unit. So not a surprise, but worth noting if this is something you can't get past. Even with very respectful neighbors, we could clearly hear conversation. If a family were staying with kids, etc., or if we had less considerate neighbors, this could have been a bummer. As it was, it was our only small complaint in what was otherwise a perfect stay, and we would 100% stay here again!

Great unit - clean - love the lanai. Bed is comfortable - kitchen has very little silverware but seemed to have mostly everything else. Honestly never used it - other than glasses and silverware for take out. Not crazy about the area - lots of homeless people and run down area as you walk into town. But the owner is a very nice lady who has lived there her whole life - I am just a bit of scaredy cat! Overall the place is great - location not so good.

Husband and I stayed 3 nights. Nice location with easy access to beaches and downtown. Room has a fridge, cook top, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker (and Kurig) -( but go visit Better Things coffee shop at least once ). The shower and water pressure was so nice. Cute little sitting area right outside the room. Air conditioning worked good.
