The Green Gables price was very reasonable for my one night stay and is an absolutely beautiful location right on the lake. The room was clean enough, but I felt like the the interior and exterior could use some TLC. There was a hole in the bedroom door that needed painting. There were slats missing from the blinds on the windows and lots of nicks in the walls and trim in the unit. Granted there is lots of sand dragged into the complex from the beach, but the exterior was generally unkempt looking with plants that were half dead and the area needed more attention and regular cleaning. I understand this is an older complex with lots of regulars that have been coming for years, but people should be aware that it’s lackluster. Obviously the price reflects the amount of maintenance put into the complex.
