Excellent stay with toddler

As a couple with an 18 month old toddler we had a fantastic stay at the Scandic Oslo City. It’s in such a great location, convenient for the train station (easy train from the airport) , walking to points of interest and public transport - the tram is so easy! We requested a cot when booking and it was ready in our room upon arrival. Our room was much bigger than expected and this made our 3 day stay very comfortable. The fridge was ideal for storing milk and fruit for our little one and having the ability to screencast on the TV was also great. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options. We would definitely stay again when visiting Oslo.

We enjoyed our stay very much, loved the staff (very helpful), breakfast excellent. We had one major issue. Being from Texas we needed a street window for cooler breeze (which we loved), but, at night too many extremely loud, drunk people from late at night till 4-5am in the morning. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep. Next time I would ask for an inside room and hopefully the hotel could provide a fan (for airflow/circulation)

The hotel was not air conditioned and was oppressively hot. The hallways smaller stale and smelled like a barn: The hotel lacked proper ventilation. The windows in the room were not operable. We were asked if we wanted our room cleaned at check in and we said we wanted it cleaned daily. They didn’t clean the room even once. The room was extremely small and felt claustrophobic . However the staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. The location was extremely convenient.

Awesome place to stay, either for work or leisure!! Room is super clean and in great condition, daily breakfast is really great! Big variety and cleanly presented with quality ingredients. A special mention of the staffs working in the front desk, they can’t be more friendly and helpful! This lady, sorry didn’t catch her name, was working hard to try to get a stuffed animal out of safe that my son accidentally knocked the power out of, when she failed to do so on her attempt while we were still there, she was so kind to promise my son she would send it back to him. I know there are a lot of other staff members who were also involved in the “rescue” of the soft toy for the child, I just wanted to say how much we appreciate you all and the wonderful time we had over our 4 days stay with Scandic Oslo City! Highly recommended!

Excellent place to stay for our few days in Oslo. Just steps from the train station and a main stop for trams and busses. The staff were friendly & helpful, the place was clean and the breakfast was a great way to start the day. Found the room to be small, but that might just be the case in central Oslo. The room was also warm and the only way to cool it off was to open the window. Given the hotel’s central location, it was loud on a Saturday night, with the window open. When closed, no real noise problems. Would definitely stay here again.

My first room was on the 5th floor and it was very warm. I was moved to a room on 3rd floor and a major difference. Comfortable temps. Slightly smaller but worth the trade off. Staff is very friendly. Great breakfast spread and hotel is super convenient to transport.

The best part of the hotel was its location. It is located next to the train station permitting easy transportation almost anywhere. The staff was polite and helpful. The biggest downside of this hotel is potentially very long and confusing walks to your room. We wondered down partially lit hallways with multiple turns trying to find our room. Once we got there the room was clean and functional. The included breakfast had a wide variety of tasty options. The area around the hotel was busy, but seemed safe. There was not excessive noise from the street. Near the hotel there was an abundance of shopping and eating options.
