Aside from the slight difficulty in maintaining a comfortable temperature with the air condition in our room, we had a pleasant stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Our room was clean and spacious even for 3 adults. WiFi was strong and ample TV channels available. Breakfast was delicious even though selection was limited. All the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. Parking ample even though the hotel seemed full. We would definitely recommend this hotel should you require accommodation in the Bowmanville area.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night just to get away from the house. The rooms were clean and nicer than expected. Pool and hot tub were clean. Staff was great. It’s right beside the 401, and about an hour and a half from the airport. (When it’s not rush hour) No complaints from this gal!

We traveled to Bowmanville to meet our granddaughter’s husband to be and visit with her and her brother. We had a wonderful visit. The hotel staff especially the manager were most helpful and kind. Their efforts greatly assisted our visit and we are truly grateful. The room was just what we needed, it was comfortable and well kept. This is my go to hotel in the Bowmanville area. Excellent service, good rooms, reasonable pricing. Breakfast is good too. We will be back, thank you.

Welcoming, clean, great breakfast, super comfortable beds . Easy access from 401 too. I stay here three or four times a year on business. I really appreciate that I am recognized when I come and get a friendly welcome by name. All staff are exceptional, Front desk, dining room, maintenance, all.

We hired the conference room for a meeting with 13 colleagues and stayed for 2 nights. Location was good for our needs. Parking was plentiful, the hotel is on Spicer Square which has car dealerships and vacant land. Walking distance to your usual fast food outlets such as Dairy Queen etc. Room was large with king bed and good quality linen. Coffee maker in room, iron etc. Shower was over the bath and could have been stronger pressure. Windows didn’t open and heater was rather noisy so left it off. Wifi was good. Small swimming pool and spa pool with a gym. Tuesday and Wednesday had free pasta and salad between 5.30-6.30pm which I’ve never come across before. It was just right for my needs on 1 night. Breakfast buffet had usual array of cereals, yogurt, fruit, breads and bagels, eggs and bacon from 7.30am the restaurant was busy. Easy check out. 2 nights were CAD 252.00

Nothing unique but as expected a nice clean Holiday Inn Express with a pool and hot tub, free hot breakfast and free parking. A few things to note: The pool has an awkwardly placed shower and no soap. The lobby does not have a free coffee/tea station which is usually a given at Holiday Inn Express properties. The beds are not very comfy and it can get really loud in the corridors due to the presence of families attending little league events in the area. Plenty of fast food dining options within walking distance. Overall a decent property which can be easily recommended for a short stay

Room size nice bathtub way too small too it was too cold out to try hot tub and pool. New beds good nights rest. Breakfast was good for what you get not bad. Noise level was also good heard no nouse from highway.

Just an overnight —so we chose a predictable, close to the highway, hotel . It was clean , appeared well managed , and the breakfast choices were good with real dishes and real cutlery — definitely a bonus — coffee in a mug always tastes better than coffee in a paper cup💞

This hotel offers awesome value for what you pay. It’s quiet, comfortable, very clean, and has spacious rooms. Easily relaxed and settled into the huge king size bed after long day at family funeral. Room was not too hot or cold and temperature was adjustable. Staff on arrival was very helpful. Breakfast was hot and lots of variety - but no gluten free options - like most other chains don’t. This would improve the experience of people like me who can’t eat most of what’s on offer other than eggs, meat, and fruit. The bathtub was a bit questionable. Didn’t appear to have been scrubbed. Maybe wipes were used to disinfect? As someone who likes a bath to unwind after a long day I need a well scrubbed tub. Many people shower and maybe tub scrubbing isn’t considered a priority but soap and other substances build up on the bottom - an icky situation for a bath. Overall I’d recommend this hotel. Gluten free options would increase customer satisfaction of the many gluten intolerant guests. Hopefully someone reads this and checks to see that tubs are well scrubbed.

The Holiday Inn Express Hotel& Suites in Bowmanville is well located for those travelling from Pearson airport to points eastwards — about an hour by car from the airport, it gets you out of Toronto and provides a good place to rest before continuing your journey. The room was spacious and well-appointed with good amenities and comfortable bedding to afford a pleasant sleep. The complimentary newspaper, wifi and breakfast were appreciated. However the latter was a bit disappointing as, whilst there was a reasonable array of offerings (fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, beans, etc) the ‘hot food’ was only moderately warm. Still it was tasty and nutritious.
