The location is quite central, easy access to Umeda and Dotonbori shopping area. Many eateries around the vicinity of the hotel, local and western restaurants. There is also a guests lounge with self-service coffee and tea making machine. The room (twin bed) was of a good size. Saffs were generally friendly but communication was a bit of a problem
Hotel is old, and rooms are small (as the rest of Japan which is OK ) but this is the first time that I found dirt everywhere, the dust seems that has accumulated since 2 years ago, the blankets are like sand paper! I wouldn’t go back to this hotel
At $166 a night during peak cheery blossom season this felt like not the greatest value. The room was very small. That said, the hotel was clean, conveniently located, and in a neighborhhood that surprised us with lots of small local businesses. Among them is a great craft beer bar right around the corner from it. I would stay there again, but not for that price, especially with no breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed my stay at this hotel, room was spacious compared to the others I stayed in Japan! Also pleasantly surprised that there were two toilets in the twin room, which is great when traveling with friends or family. Would recommend this hotel!
We booked this hotel for 2 nights, in between, we went to Kyoto and Arashiyama. Hotel allowed us to leave our big luggages in the Hotel for 2 days free of charge after coming back from Kyoto and Arashiyama. Our plan did not include breakfast however, there is a drinking bar in the lobby, all hotel guests are free to get the water, tea, ice, or coffee with free. Staff is professional and can speak fluent English. Good Services overall. We book a Twin room with 2 toilets and 2 bathtubs inside the room. It is a very good idea for two ladies. The size of each bed is almost 4 sq. Room amenities include TV, kettle, tea bags and mini refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. The staff in the front desk is very helpful. She helped me to cancel the booking for crab lunch as my friend suddenly has suffered from skin allergy. Hotel is quiet easy to locate. We took the RAPIT from Kansai International Airport and transferred stopped at「天下茶屋」 and then changed to Metro「堺筋線」and get off at 「北浜駅」, go to Exit no. ６ and walk about 5 minutes to the hotel.
Very reluctant at giving this hotel 3 stars. Book through Expedia because that is the only way to contact them. They don't have an email on their website. I wanted to contact them directly about accommodating our 6 month old baby. We wanted just one bed and more room on the floor for her to sleep because she is starting to crawl. We didn't want her to fall off the bed. The beds are very small. My wife and I slept on one and barricaded the other with pillows for our daughter. We could barely fit, and we're not that big. The beds are probably the worst quality beds I've slept on in a hotel and the sheets are just as bad. To me the bed and sheets are what makes a room. You want to feel comfortable and have a good rest to re-energize the next day. They also don't have a safe box in the room. I like to keep my passport and extra cash locked up. The positive things about the hotel is its not far from yodobayashi station, walking distance and they leave new towels outside your room when you put the "do not disturb" sign out. The staff and service were good. No complaints there.
Nice hotel, clean, and so surprise have 2 bathroom in my room !!! Just go to the Lobby's Floor, you will find 7eleven Store !! The coin washing machine at the 3th floor ........ Many restaurant surrounding and not to far to the train station ( subway )
This hotel was very central to all transport with many entries to the subway available close by. The room was small but that is not unusual for Japan. It was extremely clean. It had a heated mirror in the bathroom which heated in the middle so the glass remained fog free. Lots of free bathroom accessories. The fact that not many people including hotel staff speak English is challenging but all part of the experience.
We stayed 2nights in this hotel. The location is quit convenient to access by 2 metro line, it is only take 5 to 10mins walk to hotel. There is one convenient shop (24hrs 7-11) where is just next to the hotel entrance. You can buy any necessary travel stuffs and snakes for you. 2 cafe are close to the hotel, can access within 5 to 10 mins walk. There are one coffee corner in the lobby, you can enjoy your snacks over there and the hotel provide free coffee and cold tea at there. Although the room is small, but the wifi is strong. And toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash are ready for you. Some restaurant are also close this hotel.
Spent two nights as a couple in a semi-double room. During a two week trip, we stayed in a number of small rooms with semi-double beds but this one was probably the smallest. The bed at 120cm was also small, but we were able to make ourselves comfortable. Travelling with only carry-on sized luggage, we had to be creative to store things and still have room to move around and there was little additional storage space. That said, the room was clean and bright. Staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly, cleaning staff left us new towels outside the door when as we had left a do not disturb sign on the door through the day. The hotel feels a bit off the beaten path, in more a business district but as such it was quiet at night. We were able to walk easily to the subway. If you are an ambitious walker you can travel on foot to Dontonbori area in about 30 minutes. We did this several times, travelling through quiet neighbourhoods with many small restaurants and bars. Hotel had good wifi, a fridge in the room and a 7/11 in the building. In an expensive city we found this at a reasonable price and were happy with our stay.
