We visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka in this trip and this was the most expensive accommodation. We stayed at Mystays Kyoto Shijo and Shiba Park in Tokyo, they were central, large rooms and much cheaper than this one. In addition to the very small rooms, although we paid extra for the Deluxe Twin, the laundry facilities that they claim to have is appauling. The washing machine and especially dryers are of poor quality and took forever to dry a normal load leading some to spend New Year's Eve in the laundry room waiting!!! Should prefer if they charge to use the facilities and get industrial quality machines. Very frustrating!!!!
My wife and I stayed here a couple of nights and were charged at least double the price what the stay at this hotel was worth. Location is good, convenient access to transportation and other areas (within a 30 minute walk), but aside from that I rate this place poor because I could have paid the same amount for much more value. It's not terrible but it's not worth the money. If I paid half of what I paid I might rate it as good. Here are my main issues: 1) the room we were staying in was extremely small since we had luggage, pictures are misleading. There are virtually no windows, it's like a box with an excuse for a window with a film covering it, where you can't see the outside. Leading into point 2) below (assuming they don't want you to see the trash dock). 2) the room we were in was next to the trash loading dock where every morning at 5 am we were enjoying the show. 3) the restaurant downstairs is pretty much useless if you don't speak the language. We tried to go there for lunch because it said English menus but there wasn't; we asked for a menu with pictures but they didn't have one, so we left. Good thing is that there are lots of nice restaurants around so you don't need to bother with this place. 4) All this, plus the price, and you don't get early check in and it takes the hotel 4-5 hours to clean your room; so if you need to stop back in your room midday, forget it. A minor issue, but the music in the lobby reminds me of a bad remix of the jeopardy song that is played all day in perpetuity. It borders on the line of insanity. I don't know how the employees actually don't lose their mind. Anyway: not worth the money. Take a 50% discount and maybe you'll like it.
Booked this hotel for three nights at last minute. Hotel is situated a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest subway station, which can you get to anywhere you need in Osaka and beyond. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was small, but this is typical in Japan. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and had bathroom had handy amenities (shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes etc). I didn't eat in the hotel so am unable to comment on that, but there are several places to eat just metres from the hotel. I would definitely consider staying here again when I am next in Osaka.
good place. value for money, good location. great breakfast. staffs are good.quiet place to relax. good surrounding. good place for business travellers. convenient stores are near. two indian restaurants are nearby, one chinese restaurant nearby.
We liked the location of this hotel, close to the subway and if you like walking, actually not that far from central Osaka attractions. The hotel does not have what you would call a traditional hotel restaurant, our room rate excluded breakfast, which is not ideal, but with 7-11 everywhere and many coffee places its managable to feed yourself in the morning. Rooms are very very small however, forget about swinging anything :-) No place to put your suitcases, no wardrobe. What however creates the claustrophobic feeling is the room window - its just obstructed with some sort of no view through film - so its like staying in a tiny box with no daylight at all - scoring poor mainly for that reason. Just look for somewhere else to stay - there must be a decent reasonably priced hotel which also offers breakfast in Osaka.
Hotel is 7 mins walk from the nearby subway, it is situated in the business areas, no shopping malls can be found. There are many restaurants where you can try different local dishes. If a girl travels alone, not recommend you to stay there as night time it is very quiet and the hotel location to some extent not easy to find.
Very clean hotel with a lot of eateries nearby. Conviently connect to the subways. It has a very quiet surrounding and we were given a reasonable size room with a tiny kitchenette . Staff are very courteous but speaks little English as expected. we stayed 7 nights. Would recommend to anyone.
The room was a bit smaller than what I'm used to. But considering the room we stayed in Kusatsu was around the same size, perhaps that is the norm in Japan. It's a basic city hotel, no frills but with all the necessary essentials like clean towels, shampoo, soaps, toiletries etc. The hotel offers free wifi, and has 2 washing machines and dryers for guests to use free of charge. There's also a microwave, ice machine and a drinks vending machine in the laundry room for guests to use. The front office was friendly and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located with subway stations and plenty of convenience stores & restaurants within a few minutes walk. Recommended if you want a place to simple stay in the city without a hefty pricetag.
Hotels that provide everything what you need 😊. I just love the surrounding.. because it was quite strategic, I would say. Staffs are the best! All of them are well presentable and superb friendly. Will tell everyone that wanna come over (Osaka) to stay at this hotel. Bathroom is extremely good.. love the smell of their shampoo and shower cream 😙
I stayed at Hotel MyStays Sakaisuji-Honmachi for 4 nights with a family member. The size of the room is small even for Queen Size. Having said that, the bed is very comfortable and I slept comfortably for 4 nights. Unfortunately, Wifi signal was generally poor and kept disconnecting. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to some attractions but using the subway is definitely easier. Moreover, the hotel is within walking distance to some very good restaurants. My recommendation for good restaurants near Hotel MyStays with decent price: 1- Tsurutontan (Udon with free options to upsize - 750 to 1000 yen). 2- Maru (fresh sushi with affordable pricing and decent portion - 700 yen to 950 yen). 3- Unagi restaurant near Oita Bank Osaka branch (fresh and decent portion unagi - 880 yen to 1080 yen). In conclusion, will I consider coming back? Yes definitely. Staff are helpful and speak decent English. I just hope the hotel management rectifies its wifi issues.
