Went here with a friend near the end of our trip and we really liked it. There's a laundry facility available, it's close to a train / subway station and it's a cosy and clean hotel. The staff aren't super duper friendly, but it's still good.

If you like a small compact room this is your place. My company booked this place on a business trip. I'm a non smoker and got stuck with a smoking room. The room is as wide as the bed. Not very long but wifi is decent. Breakfast could use improvement.

The staff set the tone for a hotel and the staff we encountered here certainly did that. Unfriendly, unhelpful and unwelcoming. This is not the usual Japan experience so came as a bit of a shock. The room was OK. Small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast offered western and Japanese food but cornflakes alone do not make a western breakfast. The coffee was appalling and only available in paper cups, and all the crockery was plastic. We left hungry. We needed to forward luggage to Tokyo as we were going hiking. it was as if this had never been requested before, although Japan offers great forwarding services which we had used before. Glad to leave and cannot recommend.

We booked a twin room. It was I think 40 -60 dollars per night which was an ok price. It was near a train station. Walking distance. The room was clean. The beds were comfy although the pillow was hard. I think its a Japanese thing. Anyways the room was somewhat small but its typical in Japan. I recommend this hotel but location was not near dotonburi. You need to ride the train. If you don't mind the location then stay at this hotel!

The staff here are very friendly and the room size was adequate, clean and the location of the hotel was reasonably central with plenty of food options nearby. The hotel does seem a little more targeted towards businessmen and businesswomen however this does not take away from staying here. Sadly, the buffet breakfast was a bit lackluster. It had the bare basics of some japanese and western options, but lacked the 'Osaka flair' in flavor and variety. Also, if not taking the subway, the hotel is more than a 3 min walk from the station (about 5-10). Despite the breakfast, we would stay here again, as the staff and rooms were great and good pricing.

This is a good hotel and is located in a great location. The rooms are very small but clean. The bathrooms are clean although very tiny. There is a good selection of western and Japanese breakfasts. Friendly staff.

The location of the hotel is not perfect, but it is still close to Nagatsu Station. It is about 3-min walking distance from the hotel to the station. The room is of Japanese standard. You can expect it won't be too large, but the space was enough to fit two suitcases. It is spotless clean as well. The front desk staff understand simple English, so there was no communication problem for me during my stay. I paid US600 for my 4-night stay in Hearton. I find the price reasonable. You can't compare Hearton with those big chain brands I stayed before like Swissotel and Nikko Osaka. You get what you pay for. Suggestions: If you travel with friends, you can choose Hearton Hotel Kitaumeda. If you travel with small kids or elderly, you should choose a hotel which is closer to the subway or one with an elevator.

We enjoy our stay of 3 days at this hotel. The hotel looks great from both inside and outside – clean and neat. Courteous hotel staffs at reception desk speak good English and very friendly. The restaurant across the front desk provides excellent buffet breakfast and looks great. We stay on the 5th floor and our twin bed room looks neat, clean and quiet at night, of course it is small. The bathroom is excellent. However, couple of bad points: (1) the small frig in the room has no control button and it takes forever to cool a drink – if you leave a bento sushi in it, the fish will drip before it gets cold. (2) The bed is comfortable but the wind creates by the air cond above your head will blow in your face if turn on no matter how you change the wind direction - We use the small cooler instead when sleep. Nakatsu subway station is the nearest station North-West to the hotel and just 5-min walk. There are several small shops along the way when you walk down South toward Hankyu Umeda Station.

Short version: rooms are dated but clean, the location is great, and the price is right. Long version: I stayed in a single room, it was dated but clean and well designed enough to not feel too cramped despite its small size. My problem with the room was that it was insanely overheated by default - you can lower the temperature by opening the window or (ridiculous at it feels) turning on the cooling, but when you leave the room it gets heated back to the default (and you can't override that by shoving paper into the card slot, they say they won't clean the room if you do that). I also did not like the rock-hard bed (beds in Japanese hotels are generally very hard, but the one here was the hardest I experienced). The location is very convenient - Nakatsu subway station is a few mins walk away and will get you to many points of interest with no changes or one change, use exit 3 which is very close to the hotel or exit 5 which has a lift (between the ticket gate and the street - there's a half-flight of stairs between the ticket gate and the tracks, but that's manageable with a decent amount of luggage). The interconnected Umeda and Osaka stations are also nearby but I advise avoiding them because the signage there is very confusing (and, in any case, that's not where the Shinkansen goes - that would be Shin-Osaka, which is 2 stops from Nakatsu). The English sign for this hotel is very small, so be sure to check on Google Maps what the front of the hotel looks like if arriving on foot. I paid 155AUD/nt via TA with Agoda, I think that's fair for a hotel of this quality in this location.

Near Nakatsu Subway Station of Midosuji Line which runs for Central Osaka, main interchange station, many attractions and shopping areas as Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Namba, Yodoyabashi and Tennoji. It surrounded by 3 convenience stores but no taxi stops. The room is quite tiny but very clean and quality in-room facilities e.g shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc. We paid about 16,000 Yen per night. If the room rate can be lower, it would be perfect!!!
