Very dirty room....lots of hair in shower etc. stuck to walls and floor, side of tub....yuck. Facilities seemed safe but nothing was in working order...ie, ice machines, elevators, vending machines.

This property has a very attractive rate. If just by self or with a few family members it may meet your needs. The property is dated - I'd guess it's over 40 years old so if you want a modern, shiny decor you will be disappointed. The front desk personnel are pretty strict more than friendly but I think they have to be given the clientele. Almost every time, a customer is complaining about the resort fee.

Confortable stay and clean place. Friendly staff, sleep like a baby

I've stayed here in the past and honestly the only thing that has changed is the pool. The pool is huge and heated which is pretty awesome. The hotel and rooms are standard and cheap. I mean you get what you paid for. It's not terrible. The one thing I wasn't fond of was the $50 hold that was put on my card. Once I checked out it took about 2 days to come off and even then there was still a $2 charge left besides what I paid for the hotel. It's about 10-15 mins from Disney. Travel time isn't bad. Towels you can tell have been used quiet a bit. I personally wouldn't mind spending an extra $10 a night to stay somewhere else especially if you are only looking for a place to sleep and shower, this place is good for exactly that.

This Review is based on Value for Price. Allright fine It is not the Ritz.......but with the Extra $500 plus dollars per day you can afford to take a vacation to Kauai and Stay at TheFlyingTurtleHouse inside the Hanalei Bay Resort and Still have money to Eat sushi !:) The Pool at the Howard Johnson's is nice and warm, the rooms are clean and the price is great. The neighboring industrial building has a guy who plays his radio which is annoying but if you close your door its no problem. The Staff including Cecelia at the front desk was Very helpful. If you are On a Budget, stay here. You can build up to The Waldorf slowly with the money you save !:)

I had an emergency while on my vacation and had to leave after only spending 1 out of the 4 nights I had booked. I was charged for 2 nights when I only stayed one. There was no courtesy that I had to leave back to Miami on a medical emergency.

It was nothing like I had expected and no I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all the only thing that was good was the location it wasn't far from a lot of festivities

I didn't like it. The smell, the area. The road for the entrance. It looks to old. It was my first time at the area but now i Know I can't stay at the hotel.

First room A/c blowing, no heat T V would not work Had to change room at 10 pm

Hotel is older and you will see it's age in places such as worn fixtures in the bathroom. The hotel is a bit further from theme parks than many other hotels but it's no more than 10 minutes farther. I did NOT experience any meaningful traffic issues either to or from the parks. Overall the value for the room cost was very good.

Habian cucarachas por todos lados, los pasillos estaban azquerozos,

cheaper, everything such as location, condition are average.

Bed was good. Clean room. Would stay there again. Low price

I had a bad experience because I reserved that place like 2 weeks ago and everything is perfect but when the day comes and I send an email to the people that works over there and I let it know that I’m gonna pay with another card , so they cancelled me my reservation and nobody call to let it me know , the check in starts at 4 until 12 and it was 6 they cancelled me because someone it try to pass my card and it didn’t through of course because I want to pay with another card they try to use my card without my authorization is the four time that happens to me and when I call and explain the whole situación the lady that answe me the phone she was very rude and it said you have to be there at 9 pm or I will cancel the reservation , people they don’t like threat good to the customers , I will never come back to the place for real !! Very bad experiences !!

We chose this hotel as a quick rest stop with small children on the was to Florida from Texas. There were strang characters hanging around the parking lot and even worse when we pulled around back to the parking for our room there were even more people hanging out on the walkways in front of the rooms. If i hadn’t have already paid through Orbits we would have left to venture else where. Very scary experience

Water leaked from fridge all over floor, dirty washcloth left in shower, large open gap to outside under window above air con unit

The road leading to Hotel was in poor condition with pot holes over one foot deep. Had the impression I was driving on a road in a third world country. Overall is was well worth the cost.

When I arrived the elevator had trash in it. The room smelled, the parking lot and facility was outdated and poorly kept with potholes. The bathtub was stained and dirty looking but it was actually just badly worn. The TV looked like a 21 or so inch placed on the wall. The refrigerator, microwave and everything was worn and outdated. For the 3 day stay you saw people in the lot which didn't make you feel safe or that you would want your wife and children around. The police were constantly searching with helicopters and had patrol cars pulling people over in the neighborhood. Often the police were in the lot. It felt like a war zone. I was there for 3 days of training for lawyers at another hotel which was sold out and traveled to the other hotel and back. Often you couldn't even sleep for the loud behavior going on other rooms and outside. This was the cheapest selection I had at the last minute with Orbitz. The car and flight was fine but this hotel was the worst place I had stayed in for 30 years. I had no problems with the staff which tried to be helpful but this place is not even safe or sanitary and is dilapidated. .

Close to shops, and attractions. Spacious and Comfortable.

Place is not clean housekeeping doesn't get there too late and they attract the worst kind of people
