By how unconcerned the host was, I question the validity of this being a privately owned property. We received the entry code well after the check-in time. The property was not cleaned properly (floors were dirty, counter dusty) with one guest bathroom smelling of cigarettes. We at least knew our sheets had been washed as some were still wet when climbing into bed the first night. Heat/ac system was not working upon arrival. Front door would not lock when exiting, had to lock from inside and go out the back door. The only way to communicate our issues with the "host" was by leaving a voicemail or text with a long delay before receiving a response. Then the communication was virtually non-existent about having our issues corrected. This rental was a disappointment for most of the week. Some of the issues would normally have been overlooked. But the total lack of concern by the "host" made it too difficult to enjoy any part of our stay.
