A very Relaxing Vacation

Stayed here for a week in March with family--there were 6 of us in total. House was spacious and perfect for our group. Outside space was very peaceful with the water out back--attracted lots of wildlife to watch in the morning with our coffee. I had the pool heated and it was a very comfortable temperature. The neighbourhood was very friendly, quiet, and felt very safe. The resort pool (although very busy the week we were there) was very nice and provided a great option for my teenaged kids who could easily walk there/spend time there on their own. We did have a few things to report to the management while we were there (a broken chair in the dining area, a few broken shelves in the fridge) that we noticed upon arrival and did not want to be held responsible for. Property managers were very friendly, attentive and quick to respond to any concerns we had. Overall--a great vacation and wonderful accommodations!

Extreemly dirty carpets !! Fridge lights out !!

Upon arrival, we did a walkthrough of the House. The Carpets were Filthy! The Wall areas were scratched and dirty - needed to be painted. Lights burned out in Fridge - never repaired. I had to rent a Carpet Cleaning machine and clean the Carpets myself - not exactly what I thought I would be doing on Vacation. I submitted a bill for the Carpet Cleaning machine rental, but no response from Shine Villas - for reimbursement. AC went out twice, screen panels in Lanai were ripped, some TV's were inop, all these were corrected, but should have been corrected before we got there. .

Property

I although this was a beautiful home there were a lot of things wrong with it. Half the patio furniture was broken so we couldn’t all sit out by the pool. The knives in the kitchen are very dull and there is only one cutting board to do your prep. I had paid to get the pool heated but it stayed cold the entire time. I was communicating with the management team throughout the entire week and they were quick to respond but nothing was fixed. Someone finally came the day before we were leaving and realized the pipe was broken. I wish this had been taken more seriously and fixed right away. We were not able to enjoy the pool at all. I was given a full refund for the pool a few weeks after we had left.

Ants, unwashed blankets, nasty carpets, sticky stuff on bed not cleaned, filthy pool

If you paid 50$ a day, maybe you can expect these things but we paid almost alotttt more than that a night after everything. This place is utterly filthy. The one positive review is from someone with 6 kids so probably used to mess. This is not just mess. The house was bought less than a year ago. The towels with holes in it and the shredded linen is way older than a year. The carpets are stained. I sat down on the step when i got there and it was wet. There was sticky stuff on the platform of the bed, there were ants in the bathroom. There are no comforter protectors and the comforters are too big for the washing machine so they obviously don’t wash it. The management company are a bunch of robots. One of the beds were broken. The pool was so filthy. The neighbor who owned his house said he can tell that it wasn’t cleaned in weeks. My baby got sick after the pool, before we realized that there was grime all on the walls. Speaking of babies, there is not a single bathtub in the whole house so good luck bathing a baby. Summary-the place is absolutely filthy and the company is pretty much helpless/useless. I wish i saw the second review before we booked. I only saw that review after we were there already. Book a motel instead, it will be cleaner.
