Great location-can walk right into California Adventure Park. Clean and beautiful buildings and grounds. Nice pool area and love the fireplace area in the lobby.

Great hotel, great service, awesome location, little but noisy but we requested to be by Downtown Disney so that is the drawback. Great view of the fireworks and Downtown Disney.

with all of the kids running around, we were amazed at how clean everything was at all times. you need to remember that because there are kids, you're going to here them loudly on the other side of your room walls.

Room was not clean. We found a sandwich under the bed so obviously they did not look or vacuum well. Shower water would not get hot. Warm at best.

They recently remodeled the rooms. Much improved than last time when rooms were old and not well maintained. We loved it.

Great hotel. Beautiful, clean, excellent service. It can't be more convenient for getting into the parks. Loved the early entry. Yes, it is pricey but you're paying for excellent service and the convenience. It's the difference between having a truly relaxing vacation and not.

Close to the parks. Easy access when the kids get tired. Great pools for the kids to play and the adults to relax.

the proximity to the parks saves so much time and wear/ tear on the old joints. the hotel staff/ service is what you would expect at any top level hotel. the grand Californian delivered

Stayed in this hotel during construction last summer. Made it clear when I booked, that we had young children who'd be napping during the day so if there was going to be noise, we go elsewhere - was told "no problems, we can accommodate you in an area of the hotel that isn't under renovation and to ring up after we booked and they'd put a note on our file". We rang and had the note put on file. At check-in, mentioned the noise issue. Was told there was no note on file but not to worry they'd accommodate us. When we got accommodated the room later that day, we'd be put directly under a room being renovated. During the first two days they where hammering the tiles off the floor/walls. After the first night, we walked down to the front desk and they refused to provide any help, said the hotel was full, despite the fact that I could book any room rate for the rest of the week. After the second night, we phoned them, to which they asked "what is that noise in the background", when we explained it was the renovations they immediately accommodated us to a different room - suddenly no longer full. The hotel is very nice but the staff are ruined the experience. Management didn't care with a "what did you expect the hotel is under renovation". My issue, is that if they'd just been honest and said "we can't guarantee you won't be impacted" when we booked, I would have booked a vacation elsewhere. Instead they made it clear they'd go out of their way to help - and they didn't.

The food at the hotel was poor quality. It all tasted like out of a box. The beef stir fry was very spice. Valet parking was a joke waited 45 minutes for my car to be delivered.

My sister and I started staying here a couple of years ago on our annual December Disneyland trip and now it is a tradition! We love the beautiful lobby, the big hearth fire, the tree and the Christmas singers. I could go on and on about what we love. Of course, access to California Adventure Park is also key! This hotel is lovely.

Always stay here when we come to Disneyland. Easy access to everything. Great remodeled rooms with comfy beds!!! Staff is always excellent.

We stayed for 2 nights and because we're there for Disneyland, we only used our room to sleep, and didn't use the hotel facilities.

My husband and I had always wanted to stay here. We were very excited for it! Our room was wonderful and had nice finishes for being one of the less expensive rooms. The unfortunate part for us was all the construction going on in the hotel. They were remodeling rooms down the hall from us and the lobby area. It definitely took away from the overall experience of staying there. We enjoyed our time there, but look forward to going back when the construction is complete.

Hotel is beautiful but a lot of construction going on during our stay. Only thing a suggestion is creating or having a better system for magic hour. By the time we got into the park it was 10 mins left of magic hour.

My husband was drying off after a shower and reached for a towel on the towel bar and started drying off. He soon discovered a horrible smell. He thought maybe a sewer backup. But nope, the towel had feces all over it. The towel was folded and not noticeable from the hanging position. He was mortified! Re-took the shower and called the manager. The manager compensated us $550. That was okay, but we still have no answers. So discussed!

We got 2 adjoining rooms for a party of 6. The only reason we stayed here again is the proximity to the park. The hotel is too dark and gloomy for us. Room was small, chair was too snug for the average adult. We couldn't get comfy there. Shower/tub, older looking and bathroom was snug. Staff was very good, curtious and helpful. Restaurant staff not so friendly - cool.

We stayed here for the weekend in August. The hotel is incredibly conveniently located to the parks. The entrance directly into California Adventure is particularly convenient. The rooms are comfortable and the room service was very fast. Housekeeping was great and very helpful when we dropped a small toy off the balcony. Someone came in immediately to retrieve it with a long grasper! There was construction in the hotel near our room, so I would recommend at check in to make sure your room is not near any of this. If you are at the parks all day it wouldn't be an issue, but we came back in the afternoon to have our toddler nap and could hear the drilling. I am just happy that he was so exhausted, he was able to sleep through all of it. It is our second time staying at GC, and I would definitely stay here again.

We were graciously upgraded to a downtown Disney view from a pool view. We also had the pleasure of experiencing an updated room. One of the best hotel stay experiences. It put us in such a good mood and we had a great time.

The first night we stayed in an old room and quickly changed rooms. The new room are nicer with lots of plugs and iphone USB plugs. Double Shower which I wasn't sure about for small kids but the one on the wall is adjustable to little people sized. The daybed/couch is great, easy to open and put away and a nice place to sit. We did the club level with the food which I really liked.
