Stayed as part of a NEWMARKET Travel holiday. (Newmarket must be the worst, cut price, penny pinching company ever.) Staff here were too preoccupied to deal iwth us. Food was catering rations -simply inedible. Rooms were Ok but a bit dated. View of a car park, graffitti covered railway line and commercial dock. Avoid Newmarket at all costs.
Stayed here as part of a Sardinia / Corsica tour organised by Newmarket Travel. Newmarket are penny pinching and the food at this hotel was the worst I have ever had ANYWHERE EVER. Someone else commented on this several years ago but the food is the same ..... just catering rations, reheated in a microwave. Freezer-burnt fish, undercooked pasta, stale rolls, tough pork, tinned fruit cocktail. Truly disgusting food, un-appetising, cold. Oh-- and the starter every night was copped iceberg lettuce and sliced tomato.EVERY NIGHT, NO ALTERNATIVE, NO SAUCE. Breakfast was OK and the staff were helpful but nothing fresh to eat. Front desk staff - too "busy" waiting for another tour group to let me pay the bill- had to return 3 times. Hotel showing signs of were with a terrace view of the docks, car park and graffitti strewn railway line. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and avoid NEWMARKET EVEN MORE. See my review about this joke of a Travel agent.
Went with Newmarket Travel to Sardinia and Corsica. Hotel just about gets an OK. The room was adequate but don't venture onto the balcony, the mosquito's were a nightmare all the time. Went down to dinner and ventured onto the verander, bad choice as the mossie's were on the warpath again. The food selection was poor and oh so cheap. Lettuce and tomato for each of the three nights followed by fish or meat with one vegetable. Tour Manager has shown her teeth, friendly, what's friendly!! Would not go back
This was part of a package holiday but was to a good standard. Food and drink well, presented, staff nice and helpful, Hotel clean. Good lounge. Location only 10 minute from the town with many bars and restaurants if you prefer to eat away from the Hotel. Would recommend.
Visited as part of a Newmarket Travel package to Sardinia and Corsica. First impression of the Hotel from the outside was poor. The outside looked shabby and entrance was uninviting with no disabled access. Inside the Hotel was much better and rooms were clean and comfortable. However the food provided at dinner was very poor and the service was hectic, only lightened by the fact the waiter was a replica of Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
On a package holiday to Sardinia and Corsica and this was our first stop. Staff friendly and efficient but the food left much to be desired. Starters for each night was shredded lettuce and three slices of tomato. The main course varied and was relatively tasty but there was not much of it.There was an infusion of bugs in the Hotels relax bar and everyone from our group who went into this bar was bitten several times.I don't think it helped as there was a canal some 100 yards away with stagnant water, a good breeding ground.
This hotel is clean and well furnished. The WiFi and air conditioning are excellent. The staff are lovely. Breakfast is a very good, continental buffet. The dinners are adequate, but monotonous and bland - virtually the same every night. This lets the hotel down.
Here on a tour like many others. Outside the hotel looks a little shabby, but inside and the rooms are fine. Good aircon and fast internet. Five to seven minutes easy walk to the town centre. TV only has Italian channels. Breakfast is good typical continental. The meals for tour groups in the evening meal are dull and bland. Staff are pleasent.
Olbia has been our home for the Esmeralda coast and we found it very quiet, peaceful and friendly. Martini has a vintage decor and their staff is very helpful and sympathetic. Room has all the needs, bathroom could be better. Good breakfast.
Stayed at Hotel Martini for 3 nights as part of a Newmarket holiday to Sardinia and Corsica. Room comfortable with views over the park. Hotel lounge very nice and restaurant satisfactory although evening meal quite basic, (half board with Newmarket and set menu provided with no choice, which assume is part of the Newmarket deal with hotel). Breakfast was continental and very good choice in the main. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, however no one opened the bar in the lounge in the evening which was disappointing. Can walk into Olbia quite easily or get a bus outside to the town or to nice beach nearby. Hotel location is a little urban and on a busy main road.
