Super 8 Lake Country - Winfield Area2.0 out of 5.0

Every aspect was very pleasant....staff were very helpful and knowlegable of the area. We enjoyed the kangaroo farm and rockhounded in several spots around Kelowna. Have already recommened super 8 to other family and friends.
Oh, yeah; they all say "clean and comfortable," but they rarely are. The best you can hope for is that musty Pine-Sol covered-up smell that gags you less than stale cigarette stench. This one not only smelled clean, it WAS clean. The wifi wasn't the best, but the friendly husband/wife management team told us when we checked in to let them know if we had problems, and there was a work-around. We didn't do that because it wasn't crucial to our stay (we had good wifi at our destination), so I won't subtract a star for it. We stayed a full week even though we were initially booked for four days. We were moved to another clean, comfortable room because ours had a prior booking. The staff was cheerful and friendly, and the small breakfast provided was good, with Starbucks coffee and Tim Horton muffins. Not big, but adequate! And it's within walking distance to the kangaroo farm! We will definitely stay here next trip to Lake Country.
They owner/manager was extremely nice. Rooms were clean and fresh. Lovely breakfast and very enjoyable.
Clean place and friendly staff, great place to stay when passing thru the area. Breakfast is good if you like ceral, muffins or bagels.
We have stayed at Super 8's in the US & have been disappointed with the accomodation. When our flight got delayed we wanted to be near the airport. Hotels are limited in Winfield. The hotel was reasonably priced & the staff were very friendly & accomodating. Large spacious room with siting area. VERY comfortable beds & pillows. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, iron & board. Smaller bathroom with the sink on the outside but the room was super clean throughout. Continental breakfast consisted of Tim Horton bagels & muffins. Yogurt, cereal, juice boxes & coffee. I would definately stay here again & recommend to my family & friends.
Stayed at this motel for its proximity to the airport and the fact that it has a free airport shuttle. Well at least thats what the motel's website listed as one of its amenities. On check-in, the motel staff said "We don't do airport shuttles anymore. That was the previous owner, but we can call you a cab." Didn't really like that answer. The value of this motel was good until I left in the morning and my free airport shuttle (cab) ended up costing an extra $26. False advertising is a poor way to get return business. Oh, and the hot tub was full of snow.
I booked two rooms for a family visit, with three to stay in my room, but because of illness, it was only myself. Unfortunately, I accidently spilled a hot liquid as soon as I was in my room and I took it off right away and gave it to the owner right away to soak. He knew my bed was a mess because of it. The next day after being gone all day, my room was still a mess, except for the garbage removal. When I spoke to the staff and later the owner, they repeatedly said there was nothing they could do the housekeeper had gone home. No one even offered to give me fresh sheets or come remake it. Later, I noticed all the dust around the TV. The next day, the owner gave me 20 percent off, which amounted to the amount I would have paid without three people being booked.
Great place for breakfast brunch or lunch open 7am to 4 pm. Good home cooked food. Home baking. Try BLT for lunch excellent. Home made soups super. Also when leaving buy a pie to go. Great for later and good natural contents. Also spend some time in small shop adjoining cafe. Has home made foods and crafts . Try the jams. Really busy at noon so be early or later.
It would be an amazing place to ask your girlfriend, "Bill you Murray me?" or have a Murray Christmas. I would even go to the Super 8 Winfield on "Groundhogs day", there certainly isn't any rule about "Posting any Bills" In fact they might post a Bill for you! If you are travelling for golf, I don't know if they can hook you up for a golf course recommendation, but they might point you in the direction of a "Caddyshack" for a recommendation. So after you're done hanging out "Where the Buffalo Roam" and need a "Quick Change" don't go to "The "Grand Budapest Hotel" instead, "Get Smart" and "Buy a ticket, Take a Ride" to Winfield, Super 8 is the place to go, so earn your "Stripes" and get there ASAP cause "Nothing Lasts Forever" If life makes you feel like you're living in "ZombieLand", you'll find Super 8 Winfield really is "Larger than Life"
The snow had just been starting to pick up and my SO and I where happy to have found this place close to his family (but not with them!) The staff where extremely friendly, helpful and pleasent. The room was super nice and the bed was extremely comfortable - and with so many pillows too! ( I loved it, my partner not so much and took his one pillow to the other side of the bed. Yes! More for me!) Only issue we had was never getting WiFi to work and connect, but we had cable t.v. and other things to keep us occupied : P Anyway totally recommend from the breakfast to the sleep and everything wonderful in between this was an amazing stay for an amazing price.
