Super 8 Lake Country - Winfield Area2.0 out of 5.0

Older motel with upgrades. The room was comfortable BUT small. One 3 inch spider in the bathroom-refused to identify itself. Breakfast was the standard Super 8 variety, but the coffee was horrible. Close to the major highway, yet traffic noise not too bad.
Great from start to finish. Actually the only hotel I have stayed at where I got a good night's sleep. A+ on everything.
FRIENDLY RECEPTION easy to find along the highway close to shoreside vinyards nice choices at breakfast buffet
clean rooms , excellent service at front desk, great light breakfast and coffee to get you started. would stay there again on short trips. a little tough getting in and out of property, but manageable.
Good hotel for the price paid - disappointed as I am not allowed to claim award points as I booked through hotels.com
Room was clean. We were given a main floor room which was easily accessible. Keep in mind that if your staying here there are no elevators. If you r wine touring and hauling in wine every day you may want to request a main floor room when booking. The breakfast was minimal. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. The wi fi was terrible. Most mornings it wasn't working. I didn'r really know the lay of the land when booking this, but if I was going to do wine tours and tastings again I'd look closer toPenticton.
This hotel could use a little extra attention to the details to make it better than average. Our room was clean so that is a plus. However a lot of little things were broken/missing. There was no secondary lock on our door for extra security at night. The towel hanger on the bathroom door was loose, the drains did not drain properly in the sink or bathtub, and the curtains didn't close easily. Breakfast was okay - Tim Hortons bagels and muffins and some cereal and yogurt. They could probably improve breakfast options by just stopping at a grocery store and offering both bagels and sandwich bread for toast. The staff were reasonably friendly however they did not greet guests regularly and put their needs above the guests by interrupting their breakfast to get by or blocking the hallways with their carts. The hardest part of this hotel was the access. There is only one way in and out. To enter you must be traveling south on highway 97. When you try to exit, the traffic backs up from the lights and you'll only get into the right lane if someone lets you in. If you would like to go north on 97, you have to do a roundabout route by turning at the lights. The location was pretty good for walking - there are restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store and the kangaroo farm.
Reasonable price, served with Tim horton's breakfast in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable. Staffs were very handy and provided us good suggestions on what to see and which restaurants to go. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends.
We arrived slightly earlier for check in. Reception was very nice. Spent 1 night there for cherry pick trip. Very nice owner. But the location of hotel is too close to highway. The noise for our room was very loud. Maybe it will be better for the other rooms. But it was fully booked so we have to stay in that room. Ok for one night crush.
Great location with only 20 mins drive to Kelowa downtown. Walking distance to restaurants and the kangaroo park! The room is big and clean. Their staff is so friendly and they response to my request in seconds! Their front desk even provides fresh cherries and chocolates, my daughter loves it!
