A poignant "visit"

We actually did not use the charming place because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We are keeping it in our hearts and hope to visit this very lovely, cosy place once Ukraine wins the war. We are eager to see lovely Odessa someday and wish the owner peace and happiness. I keep the lovely pictures of Odessa in my mind. I do not Blame the fine Russian people but do blame the singularly awful autocrat who like the one we had for a few years recently and who is a friend of the unnamed figure. Peaces to all of you brave soles in Ukraine and the good people of Russia

Absolutely terrible.

We arrived in Odessa a few hours before check-in. On the phone we were told to come to the location, and they cancelled our reservation a few minutes before we got there and told us that they cancelled it because it was 'high season' and they wanted to be able to get more money. So we were left high and dry in a new city with nowhere to stay thanks to the owner.
