Wonderful place for a relaxing getaway!

Comfortable, Clean, Quiet, and Welcoming!! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and Kelly was great at responding to any questions i had. We will definitely stay here again next time we take a trip to Ocracoke.

Great stay on Ocracoke

What a great getaway! The property was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great location tucked away from the main road and close enough to the beach, stores and restaurants. Perfect place to relax on Ocracoke!

We Recommend Red Beard’s!

Red Beard’s is a very nice property and we would stay again. We expected a little more cooking capability in kitchenette, but it was fine. We brought a grill and griddle. We cooked and ate on the specious front porch. Parking is tight if other guests have large vehicles, which they did during our stay, and the neighbor across the street parallel parks. The owner was very easy to contact and was responsive.

Rainy Days

Would recommend this rental for any couple looking to visit Ocracoke. It was perfect for our needs, as we were only use to sleep and prepare ourselves for going out. We had already planned on eating out for our meals, so the lack of having a proper kitchen was not a factor. Both the bed and couch were comfortable and there was ample space to move around so we never felt cramped in the studio-style setup. If we were to nitpick and find fault at all with the accommodations, it would be the reduced water pressure in the shower, but it got the job done which is all that matters. Our only negatives over the 3 night trip were all external factors out of anyone’s control as our trip was during the waning effects of Hurricane Debby. If ever we have the opportunity to try to vacation in Ocracoke again, we would definitely stay at this accommodation again.

Nous somme arrivé plus tot que l'heure prévue. Jai ecrit a kelly pour savoir s'il etait possible d'avoir accès au logement plus tot dû a notre long trajet et les efforts ont été mit de l'avant. Nous avons eu l'acces a la propriété a partir de 13h et nous avons adoré l'endroit, la propreté et le lit confortable

Red Beard review

Apt 3, on 3rd floor. The building appeared to be under some construction as materials were laying around on the ramp and deck. Parking is a challenge with larger vehicles. Overall, place was clean and right in village area for biking places. Would stay here again. Never contacted property management for anything so 5 star rating to submit review.

Nice place to stay

The place was very nice. The only complaints was the access road and parking. But it wasnt that bad for the small island. The AC was nice and cold and the place was very clean.

Conveniently located and everything you need!

Ocracoke in the early spring is always a treat and this visit did not disappoint. Red Beard's Retreat is a little gem one block off Hwy 12 across from the village Variety store. Our unit was comfortably furnished and check-in was seamless. We had everything we needed and the housekeeper, Maria, lived upstairs and was always available to answer any questions we had. It was obvious that much time and thought went into the furnishing and design of the unit. We plan to visit again next year and hopefully, we'll be able to book our unit again at Red Beard's Retreat!

Great property and location

The property was nice, very clean and owner was very accommodating. The already nice place had plans for even more improvements. We were there for a wedding and would happily stay there again.

Great little studio rental for a couple

Eric’s condo was great for my husband and I to get away for the weekend. We were able to walk to everything in town (1/2ish mile walk), brewery 1718 and Howard pub are just around the corner and driving to the lifeguarded beach is a quick few minutes away! Mini fridge was all that was needed for us as it was just the weekend and we ate dinner out but enough room for drinks and lunch items. Not much for cooking but didn’t need that. The balcony was great! Eric was easy to communicate with and gave us a full run down upon arrival which was great! He has some beach things and bikes for guests to use. The condos are apart of his home but all have their own entrance, common stairway. Overall a great place for a couple to stay. Thanks Eric!

Pure Ocracoke

Eric’s property is perfect for chillin in Ocracoke. Centrally located near everything you want to do. He has all the beach and fishing toys you could imagine. There is a grocery store and tons of restaurants and bars a couple of minutes walk. So when you’re ready to go to the “End of the World”this is the spot. Thanks again Eric, hope to see you soon.
