Such a lovely hotel, well planned out, relaxing and focused on your comfort and pleasure. Great food and drink available, great service and ideally located for Ochi's centre. Nothing bad to say, as near to perfect as you can get.

I could not wait to go back to Hermosa Cove Villas this July. The morning of the departure, after discovering that my flight was delayed, I called Klent, the manager and told him that I would not arrive until the next day and this is what he said; “ Lady Arous do not worrie , I will move your reservation to the next day and also change the day and time of the pick up from the airport”. Just like that he put me at ease. Thank you Klent! Next day upon my arrival , I was treated like a family by everyone. They remembered me from the last trip and everyone I ran into, including the Gardner , who greeted me by my name! Since they remembered my habits, my breakfast was served sometimes on the other side of the Resturant , on the beach by the amazing pools. Afternoon cocktail was delivered to me in the hummock (drinks are amazing:). Very quickly I forgot the delays at the airport. I was in magical space where the grounds breathe the couture of native artist. I learned that Mr. Clayton has a workshop where the artist work with him and create the most amazing sculptures from native wood, plants and flowers. Pictures don’t do a justice unless you actually spend time there. What was interesting that lots of the locals do dine in the Resturant , which makes it destination for everyone and speaks highly about the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. These is where employees are treated with respect and you can feel how proud they are to be representing not just the Hermosa villas but also their beautiful culture. One of the afternoons when the water sports advised that the weather was perfect for kayaking, we went ( about 10-15 min) where the ocean and the Ocho river meet. It’s magical when you move from salt water to the river. I took so many pictures , it was like being in the jungle with so many lush plants spilling over the river, so much beauty. Make sure you take that tour . So to sum it up and help you great travelers, regardless if you are a big family or traveling solo, there are Villas for everyone’s size and taste. Each villa is carefully designed to have its own character . I am talking to few of my friends to join me at the Sea Biscuit Villa, which has 3 bedroom and it is on the ocean😎 hope to return in January of 2020. I own a Bussiness in the states and I trive to deliver best service and experience to my guests/clients. So when I take a brake for vacations or simply go out to eat, I expect the same service. Hermosa villas resort delivers just that and more. Been to many different resorts , all inclusive and more and they are fine but there is nothing like Hermosa cove . Thank you everyone at Hermosa, I will return in January with friends and share my experience of love and peace and great respect for everyone, Much love, Arous

My husband and I have been married for 19 years and decided to take a second honeymoon. We knew we wanted to visit Jamaica but couldn't decide on what part of the island or resort to stay at so we asked our friends where they've stayed and would they recommend it. Hermosa Cove was the most recommended so we made our reservations. Upon arriving we were greeted very warmly by the manager and Deb and Clayton Korver, owners of the resort. We were handed a traditional welcome drink called Sorrel a non-alcoholic drink which was sweet and cool on a hot day. After settling in to our villa we were given a tour of the beautiful grounds. I was in aww of the artwork you saw throughout the resort along with The landscaping of beautiful flowers native to the island. Dinner was amazing! We were introduced to Chef Conroy who makes the most amazing crab fritters. He welcomed us to the island and stayed to talk with us for quite a while where we learned of his passion to make great food. Now where can you get that kind of hospitality? We thanked him for the delicious meal and couldn't wait for breakfast, he makes the most amazing pineapple pancakes and plate of fresh fruit was delicious. The next day we were encouraged to go and explore the local area and experience the culture that makes Jamaica. The resort has drivers that will take you not just to the tourist shops but to local shops also. I totally recommend this if you want the full Jamaican experience. There is actually a lot to do at the resort. We did snorkeling and saw some amazing sea life including an Octopus. We also went canoeing which was challenging in the ocean but so much fun. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. If we saw them while out for a stroll they would greet us with a smile, ask how we were doing, or if we needed anything extra in our villa. I totally recommend Hermosa Cove. Such a wonderful, peaceful experience that we can't wait to visit again.

This place was so private and beautiful! If you are looking for a get away that isn't a wild spring break kide of place this is the place to go. Everyone there is so accommodating and the privacy is wonderful. Beautiful private beach. Awesome food. When we were there we felt like we were on our own and all the vilas were full. They have pools at each vila and also the pools looking over the ocean. Easy acess to staff for room service and also pool service. Highly recommend! Georgious views and many villa options.

I had a great time and wonderful experience at Hermosa Cove!! The staff was very attentive and seemed very happy with their jobs!! I really enjoyed the owners and how they interacted with the staff!! The food was delicious and the villa's were very clean!! I will gladly go back!!

My wife and I have recently returned from a long awaited trip to a presumed piece of paradise in the island of Jamaica. What we anticipated we would receive as experienced world travelers who have enjoyed stays at many luxury resorts and who are currently researching properties with plans to invest in such an endeavor in the future has uncovered some of the most deplorable and negligent working conditions we have ever witnessed. Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly by Operations Manager, Mr. Klent Elson. He was eager to make our aquaintance, give us a tour of the property and show us to our villa. He was also very clear to announce that we need not carry any cash on us during our stay as all charges would be taken care of by him and any gratuity we felt we wanted to offer to any employee should be given directly to him to distribute accordingly. We found this rather strange, but agreed to abide by his policy. Throughout the course of our stay, Mr. Klent continued to make himself present to us whenever we were relaxing by the pool, on the beach or enjoying a meal. As such, we took this opportunity to inquire about the background of the resort, the owners management style and the working conditions of the employees, considering we are anticipating having our own property in the near future. Mr. Klent waivered between complaining about the negative conditions for the employees such as no proper bathroom facilities- the employees were using an outhouse at a luxury resort and were sent home without pay for protesting. He further complained about the owners lack of support to employees, refusing to provide any type of bonus at the end of the year despite hearing that they have 1.5 million dollars in reserve which could easily have provided some compensation to the 45 employees working at far less than minimum wage by any country standards. On other occasions he would praise the owners deliberate acts of racism, supporting their beliefs that they were superior to any Jamaican citizen and even laughing when showing us various forms of artwork displayed throughout the property depicting slavery. All of this information and the presentation by the man who was supposed to represent this well-appointed resort in a positive manner was highly disturbing to us as future investors. Upon ending our stay, my wife and I left several cash tips at the front desk with assistant manager, Kameka, and Mr. Klent totaling over $500 USD that was intended to show our appreciation for the attentiveness and hard work of several key employees. We were both shocked and appalled to learned just recently that not a single one of the five employees we intended to received these tips had been given even one dollar. We can only presume that Mr. Klent is keeping these bonuses for himself. What we had anticipated being a relaxing, enjoyable vacation at a reputable villa resort turned into an endless tirade of negativity and ill feelings on a daily basis spouted from the key representative of this facility. We strongly encourage anyone who is considering even a brief stay at this resort to quickly take their money elsewhere. We have certainly learned what we do NOT want to do as future owners and hope the current owners will swiftly step down.

Our family of four stayed for a week and really enjoyed ourselves (kids ages 16 & 11). Kamika was responsive to emails prior to our arrival and arranged our transportation for us as well. We were greeted with fruit punch & cold towels and given a brief tour of the property. Our villa wasn't quite ready when we arrived, but was in less than an hour. We stayed in Sea Biscuit, which was amazing. The attention to detail is fantastic, with lovely carvings, tile work, and artwork. The house was very clean and maid service was daily - they did a great job! They tried their very best to tend to the house when we were out. The A/C worked very well, beds were comfortable, and we loved the tub on the upper balcony. The small pool was great, though we didn't use it that much as we preferred the 3 pools on the grounds. We did enjoy the lounge chairs in the yard and used those at various times throughout the day. The house itself was just fantastic! The grounds of the property were amazing as well. The vegetation was beautiful and the artistic touches throughout really set this place apart. It is beautifully done. The staff was mostly good, though a few stood out as excellent. Aneika was amazing - one of the best servers we've encountered. She always greeted us by name & with a genuine, warm smile. She went above & beyond to take care of us. She is THE superstar among the staff! Hopeton was also wonderful and gave us a tour explaining the plants & their local uses. He was great and very enthusiastic about his work. He even cut and scraped some aloe for my slightly sunburned daughter to use during our stay. Ryan did a great job with the watersports. He also greeted us whenever we passed by and was always smiling. He took us out kayaking & snorkeling twice, where we got a conch shell & a crab which he had the kitchen prepare for our daughter - awesome! The hotel wasn't very far from town, but just fyi it was a $30 cab fare. This really added up after a week. The reasons for only four stars: There was construction going on right next door to our villa which we weren't made aware of prior to our arrival. To be fair, they did ask a couple of times if it was disturbing us & the owner of Sea Biscuit offered a discount if we return, but we still felt we should've been made aware upon booking. Also, the beach restaurant/bar wasn't open during our entire stay (except the first night which was for a party). We even inquired a couple of times when it would be open, but answers seemed to vary depending on who we asked. The website makes no mention of this restaurant being seasonal or opening based on occupancy, so we found this frustrating. Depending on who was working, if they knew we wanted cocktails at the pool they would make their way over to check on us, but still not as convenient as having the pool bar open. We found the food at Christopher's to be mostly good, though not great. The specials board did not change during our week long stay. Service was usually good, though some times better than others. I will leave a separate review for the restaurant. Overall, we loved our stay at Hermosa Cove. Sea Biscuit was amazing, the grounds were stunning, & the staff friendly. We would recommend it to those looking for a beautiful and peaceful vacation.

My family of 6 adults and 2 children (under 2 years) stayed in the Nutmeg Villa for a weekend. Klent Elson, the Manager, was most accommodating and helped to plan my birthday dinner for 14 persons. Food was excellent and the facilities exquisite. Perfect combination of tranquility, privacy and utmost relaxation. Great for families and I would highly recommend.

Great service, great facilities, amenities, food! Everything was perfect! My three year old did not want to leave, nor did his father. We highly recommend this destination. Check out the architecture and the tree house is awesome!

There are only nine villas, so we often felt we had the whole place to ourselves. We spent half the trip here and the other half at an all-inclusive place and really wished we'd stayed at Hermosa Cove the whole time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was great. We had our own plunge pool in our backyard in addition to the three pools on property and easy access to snorkeling beaches. This is a nice, quiet place to go for couples and also a cool place for families. If you are looking for a busy, cruise-like feel with night clubs and arcade rooms, this is not it. And if you have trouble with stairs, this is not a fit. There is also only one restaurant, so there are not a ton of options; however, we had many restaurants at the all-inclusive place and almost all of the food was gross, so I would take limited but tasty options over that any day. The villas have full kitchens, Smart TVs, upstairs patios and fenced backyards. It is very private and beautiful, and the entire property is landscaped in a way that makes you feel you are somewhere magical.
