Needs Some Updating

Carpets are stained, microwave door broken, several ceiling fans don't work, shower faucet broken, blinds broken. For the cost of a "luxury" rental, the property needs to be updated.

House needs work

Cons:The porch bench broke day one. Missing light bulbs in bathrooms. Front porch step is broken. Den door handle was hanging off. No tools in house to fix door handle. Cleaners did not mop or sweep floor. There was sand EVERYWHERE. Ants in kitchen and living room. Pros: everything someone needs for the beach, chairs, toys, wagons, coolers. Gas grill. Lots of bikes to use. Washer and dryer. Comfortable beds.

Amazing House

This is the 3rd time my family and I have stayed at this property. You literally have everything you need. The owners do an amazing job of providing lots of items for guest. We enjoy the gorgeous views from multiple balconies. I love going to the pool and beach bar on property. They have such great food and drinks! They had lobster rolls this year that were top notch and beyond filling. Watching the sunset every night was soo peaceful and gorgeous to watch. Sunset Island is in a great location to local bars and restaurants witjin walking distance on Coastal Highway. We look forward to staying next year!!!

Meticulously maintained home away from home

This home was meticulously maintained and well stocked with basic necessities. Very spacious accommodations and the amenities offered by the community are perfect for a family getaway (private beach, indoor and outdoor pool). Proximity to public beach, boardwalk and all sorts of shopping options was extremely convenient. We would most definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

This is a wonderful townhouse. Fully equipped with everything you will need. Beds were comfy, that's important. Great neighborhood. We loved the beach there and having service on the beach, from food to drinks. The staff was great. One note, parking is a little hard when you have so many cars these days but we made it work. Anywhere you rent in OC parking is always not enough. I really appreciated the security. Suggestion...if you have too many cars, park on 67 street and leave that or those cars there all week. You really don't need to many cars to get anywhere.

A nice place to stay with family

I like Sunset Island for family. The home was large enough for the nine of us that stayed together. The pool and Bay Area can get quite crowded, but overall the kids had fun. Plan on getting there early the same way you would at the beach. Bring cleaning supplies if you like to keep your place clean, there is never a good way to clean up the sand tracked in. It would be helpful to have a vacuum, especially when kids are involved. There were a few things that were in disrepair in the house that are easy enough to fix. A broken shower door, AC was not working well and had a filter that was in need of changing, a little WD40 on doors so they don’t squeak so bad every time you open them, dishwasher door that slammed down and could hurt someone. These are minor things that would improve the property. Attention to the details could improve the overall experience for renters. Overall the house was nice with plenty of space for a group of ten to twelve people.

Beautiful community

This house is beautiful and perfect for our family! Very clean! The sunset island community was amazing splash area for the kids, pool, and wonderful market with assortment of baked goods! Everything was super convenient and we all enjoyed our stay!

Lovely home!

Property was comfortably and tastefully decorated. Three levels with plenty of seating, sleeping and bathrooms. There were even games to use stored in the family room and bicycles in the garage. Situated in a darling community, easily walkable, with community pool, small but well kept beaches, and a cute market store. Prior to Memorial Day, was not crowded at all.

Amazing location

This property is clean, spacious and very well stocked with necessary kitchen items. Sunset Island has an adorable private beach which was a lifesaver for my little ones and disabled in laws. The location off of 67th street is fantastic. We could take the bus down to the boardwalk or just stay on Sunset Island. I wish I had rented it for a few more days. Would definitely come again.

Perfect vacation

We had previously stayed at a rental in Sunset Island but by far this was the perfect place for our family. It had everything our extended family needed. The rental was beyond clean! The location was great as we had our small grandsons along and they could watch the different birds on the canal. We will absolutely be returning for our next vacation.
