Great stay

My friends and I had a great time at Sunset Island. Great time at this Ocean City home! Clean, comfortable, and the best location. Had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

Quick ocean getaway

This property was perfect for our quick ocean getaway. Plenty of room for our family, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The nights were spent walking the island. It was very peaceful. Definitely glad we brought the bug spray because the mosquitoes were everywhere. We couldn’t be happier with our stay here. Looking forward to future stays!!

Vacation 2024

I struggle with staying in places due to not being clean, etc. This condo was quite clean compared to all of the places we have stayed. Great little community feel to the neighborhood.

Sunset island

Wonderful place. Just as pictured and described. It was large and had everything you needed including a very useful washer and dryer. Nice balcony view and an assigned garage parking spot were a definite plus. Two pools and bay beach were a great option especially when the ocean water was cold. Planning to return next year.

Perfect for the whole family!

We had a wonderful week in Sunset Island! The condo was beautiful and perfectly located. Steps from one of the private bay beaches, waterfront, and easily walkable to all of the neighborhood amenities, coastal highway attractions, and the ocean. The bay beaches were perfect for the toddler in our group - as were the interactive fountains and zero entry pool. The teenagers loved the proximity to the surf shops, mini golf, etc. And the adults enjoyed the waterside bar, Starbucks coffee from the neighborhood general store, and nearby restaurants.

Great condo with a view

The apartment was clean. Enjoyed the view from the deck furnished with chairs & small tables. Lots of natural light & well stocked kitchen. Would be nice to grill. Not sure if there is a community picnic area. Gym & pool were nice. Barbells would make it complete.

Sunset Island treasure

We live 30 miles away but stayed here to be close to our daughter's wedding venue for the weekend. Great choice as it was just perfect. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, clean updated decor and great outdoor space on the large balcony. Be sure to note that linens aren't included and save yourself from a last minute scramble to gather enough sheets and towels for your crew. Sunset Island is a gem too.

Spectacular

This neighborhood is amazing and the unit is huge and was clean. The only drawback is only getting two parking passes. We didn't think it would be a big deal but it was inconvenient. Even with that, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Surface cleaning was good for apperance but the upholstery and rugs were very dirty, as were the outdoor chairs. Caught off guard AS TO BRING YOUR OWN LINENS AND TOWELS. My mistake in not reading it at the end of agreement, not use to having to do that at rentals. Asked for a call when we arrived and never recieved any feedback till the next day. Not real pleased with this apartment!

Best place ever!

A few times before our day of departure for vacation, I did have some questions and both Jodi and Rhonda were the best representatives of the property management and assisted me with everything. Our condo was located on the third floor along Hidden Cove Way. It is basically the furthest point diagonally away from the pool and all the other main attractions. The online interactive map may appear that it’s a long walk to the pool but it’s not. The boys always enjoyed playing in the interactive water fountains too! Once we had access to our condo, we were very surprised with its size and space. Plenty of room for everyone. Our outside balcony was along the first canal and it was so nice watching lots of individuals going up and down the canal with kayaks and standup boards. They also have an early morning standup board yoga class we watched. Very peaceful! We decided to rent kayaks ourselves and it’s walking distance right next to the main gate. They even take reservations! It was only $15/hour per kayak and the boys absolutely loved it! Our condo had a nice big modular sofa and I like having them best because more individuals can sit comfortably in a living room rather than just having a sofa and loveseat, etc. No complaints about the mattresses either. We all slept comfortably every night. I did bring along essentials for laundry and kitchen use as we all do but this condo already had laundry/dish detergent and trash bags available. Could say lots more but at my limit!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sunset island is a beautiful resort. We loved the wildlife, sunsets and walking trails. We had issues upon arrival but the property management team was extremely responsive to our issues with the code not working on the lock. The condo itself is very spacious. It had all the cookware/glassware needed and a full size washer and dryer. Very peaceful views from the balcony. It very much needs a deep clean and the filthy carpets cleaned. We were fortunate enough to have extra linens that we laid over the entire dirty couch. The basic clean prior to our arrival could have been better as well. For the price we paid I expected a cleaner space. We found all the beds to be comfortable other than the bunk beds. The included linen package was a nice addition.

Benchmark, the property mgmt company was very responsive and helpful when we needed support with the linens. Everything went smoothly. The sofa’s had some water marks from other sitting on the sofa with wet clothes but it was not an issue. The Master bed was really firm. If you prefer a softer mattress, I would recommend a topper. We were located near the market and fountain. All in all, very satisfied and would stay here again but bring our own mattress topper... :)

Sunset Island was a really nice change from other ocmd spots. The beaches are a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed the warmer bay water without the waves. The best part is probably getting drinks and food delivered right to you at the beach. Overall a great experience!

Vacation

The unit was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. We have family that live in the area and thought the cost of a visitor pool pass, even for 1day, was excessive per person and that a renter could not get a parking pass for guests to visit, to eliminate the risk of being ticketed and towed.

2022 Family Vacation

Overall we loved the property / condo and Sunset Island. Would definitely stay there again. Few things that may seem trivial, but parking is at a premium for families. This condo has construction going on right in front of it and construction worker vehicles take parking spaces away from renters who are paying to park. Also, no directions or information on how to use the tv's in the condo. I emailed our real estate agent for directions, but she never replied. A little frustrating when you have little ones that want to watch tv or play a movie before they go to bed. One other recommendation, with a family of 8 staying in a condo and temps outside reaching 90 plus degrees, only being able to set the thermostat to 72 degrees inside was NOT cool enough. We had to run fans to circulate and keep the air moving in the condo. Overall the condo was clean, spacious and views of an inlet. Sunset Island resort is fantastic. Really do not have to leave for anything other than heading over to the ocean and beach.

Great stay and perfect location!

Bunk-bed room is great for kids, they loved the TV on the wall! Issue with hot water on Friday morning was fixed by Friday afternoon. Great service.
