We had booked into the Trevene but were given the option of staying in the Panoramic View Hotel next door. The two hotels appear to be run together. The Panoramic View is very new and provided a higher room standard than the one we were shown in the Trevene, which was very simple so naturally we took that. The manager in the Panoramic View was very helpful and provided a takeaway breakfast on one morning. Although the hotel has WiFi it didn’t extend to the room unfortunately. On the whole we were pleased with the accommodation, breakfasts and service.

Staff very helpful. Hotel showing age, but interesting. Reasonably close to bus station (for Hatton bus that drops off at Nanu Oya for train). Also close to Grand Hotel for afternoon tea and Araliya Green City hotel for nicely upmarket 'foodcourt'.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Trevene Hotel! It was actually one of my favorite places in all of my 2 week stay in Sri Lanka. On arrival I was greeted with tea. The hotel is so cute and quaint, reminds me of Ireland and England. The staff was so friendly, the breakfast was great AND they even prepared a traditional Sri Lankan curry for me since I was traveling alone and the other family staying there had requested it for themselves - so they invited me to participate. And it was delicious. The power was out the entire time of my stay due to a storm in and the transformer was effected. Nothing the hotel could do but they built a fire for me that evening since it was quite chilly and provided portable lamps. Even without power I enjoyed it. I would 100% stay here again.
