Booked a beach front room but got a handicap room, when a room says accesible it means is for a handicapp person.

There is no parking for this hotel. The public parking deck across the street is the only place to park. You are charged $10 a night to park here. There is no security at all in this parking deck. My rear window of my new car was busted out to steal what someone thought valuable, but turned out to be a case of water. The police said five other cars were broken into. I spoke with the manager and explained I did not feel safe leaving my vehicle there another night and that I need a refund. She acted as if she was surprised when I explained what had happened, but after talking to her for a little while she explained she was working with some other guests who had the same problem. I will never be back to this hotel, EVER. I have stayed in hotels all through the US and central america and never had anyone break into my vehicle.

On our first night, the fire alarm went off at 2am and the entire hotel was evacuated into the city street. It was 40 degrees outside and they didn't hand out a single blanket. Elderly guests were left to wander around in the cold in their pajamas with no assistance. The was no blanket on the bed in the room, just layers of flat sheets. The pillows were rock hard and the toilet and heater were broken. Very nice hotel to look at, but far from the Hilton standards were are used to.

Andrew at the front desk was amazing This hotel is great for the views, restaurants and location Room was not thoroughly clean, lots of dust on the baseboards in the restroom, sheets stained, and very outdated.

We stayed at The Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hilton. Rarely have staff members in any Hotel gone out of their way to make us feel so welcome and pampered. The Empyrean staff did everything they could to let us know that we as visitors were more than that; we were there as if guests in their home. The rooms were immaculate, the housekeeping staff were prompt and polite and in fact asked us without prompting if there was anything that we needed. Our dinner at their fine Salacia Restaurant was memorable, exquisite and a must do if you visit here. Will definitely return in the future. Great job

It's a nice hotel. However, we had several issues this time that made me question the value for money we paid: - The room was not ready at 3:00 p.m., had to wait till 4:00 p.m., even though I am a Hilton Honors member and my have early check-in as a standard request! - We had to wait for our luggage for more than 45 minutes in the room despite several calls to the front desk and the bellman's stand! I had to go down for one of the bellmen to bring my luggage trolley! - On check-out day, staff gave us just 30 minutes when we requested a late checkout to compensate for the delays upon check-in! - The double beds are too small to fit two adults. - The mattress on the roll-away bed was the poorest quality I have ever seen: No padding at all, so springs poke you badly and make popping noise with every move! - Several plugs were not working, either too loose or had something broken and stuck in them. - On a couple of days the room was hurriedly cleaned and not vacuumed.

I went with my children and husband requested two queen beds. I got doubles.. the hotel said they don't have urn beds yet they are in the process of upgrading. Yet orbit markets that. Orbits says ocean view but does not explain their is ocean front as well so you really don't have full ocean view when you chose the first one

Gorgeous hotel, however the problems started once I reached my room. Room phone didn't work, maintenance advised an IT issue that couldn't be fixed, fire alarm goes off in hotel, room bathtub was clogged so shower filled up, indoor pool closed, outdoor pool was suppose to be heated, felt like 20 degrees. Called numerous times for towels at pool took over 45 min for response.

forgot to disclose that indoor pool is under construction, that was the all point of booking this hotel, very deceiving

Had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Hilton. All staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I had an amazing time.

We really enjoyed the entertainment. Dinner at Silacia was delicious! We weren't crazy about the pool. Wish there was better access to the beach.

Sink didn't drain. Temperature couldn't be controlled. Room just ok - a bit dated. Restaurant was expensive and poor food and service.

Wonderful visit! Gorgeous grounds. Staff was excellent! The restaurants are wonderful! Room service couldn't have been better! Overall wonderful stay!

I was a little disappointed considering the price you pay. The bathroom sink kept clogging up and our view of the beach was partial. You had to turn your head to the left from outside. You couldn't see the beach from inside at all. I had paid extra for a superior oceanview. The room was small. The location excellent! Elevators slow.

Hotel amazing pool on the roof amazing indoor pool amazing ocean front view amazing food in the hotel amazing I enjoyed it

Great location, but the amenities are not up to the Hilton standards that I have experienced at their other locations. Rooms are very small, and be ready for a sales pitch from their vacation resorts crew.

First off I chose this hotel because it was a hilton and the reviews were pretty decent, had the highest rating for the oceanfront hotels. Now with that in mind I had a perfect getaway imagined in my head. You have to pay for absolutely everything with your stay here. Parking is $10 a day, valet parking is $16 a day. The bottles of water in the room if you drink them they will cost you $3 a pop. And in this social media/technology Era we live in you have to pay $10 a day for WiFi access which is ridiculous. Now on to the room service, food was horrible especially at the extraordinary high prices which they will already add 20 gratuity plus a $2 delivery fee. And I can't stress how bad the food was thru room service, but if you are feeling lazy and feel the need to pay $60+ for bad food be my guest. But there are some huge pluses, the staff itself was awesome! And the location couldn't have been any better on the strip.

Stayed over night on our way to Outer Banks. Ate at Catch 31, was great, loved setting. staff was great

My husband and I were in town visiting some of his family. The hotel was clean, front desk staff was very polite, valet was expedient and professional ( very friendly too). it was Fourth of July weekend so it was extremely busy and the hotel kept up well with the traffic. Room service was good and relatively timely. We had a major issue with the key cards. Our room keys wouldn't open the room in two separate rooms (we made two reservations) and we had To go up and down the elevators four times in a three night stay to get new keys and as it turns out it was the actual locks because they were low batteries. The elevators were slow and too many people were using only 3 elevators.

Way to pricey parking is a hassle, cards do not work all 4 days in parking garage, have t pay for wifi, really???
