Stay here regularly and have already mentioned how impressed I am with the refurbished areas. Something worthy of mention for this latest trip is the customer service. The team are very attentive and check that you are happy and content during your stay. This was no more demonstrated this trip when I was waiting for a flight at the airport on a Saturday and hadn’t realised that there would be no cafe or shop open. I had a couple of hours wait and had held off getting a coffee until I went over from the hotel. I gained permission to leave the airport briefly and popped back over to the hotel and ordered two coffees. The server was empathetic and actually gave the two coffees to me as a goodwill gesture from the hotel. The type of gesture that promotes loyalty. Thank you holiday inn 🙂
The room was comfortable, but the duvet was too thick for the time of year. Near the airport, which is good for travellers. Breakfast was plentiful and all the staff were very attentive and polite. Shame that the parking wasn't free. One downside was that there were some trays left ouside a couple of rooms that were there nearly 24 hours.
I stayed at the hotel for one night whilst on business in Norwich. I was able to check in early at about 1pm, reception staff very helpful and polite. My room was a good size and very clean. The WiFi worked well. Food in restaurant was good and service prompt. I think the place is good and fit for purpose. Will stay again.
Went for meal in the restaurant last night ,food over priced fish chips and peas £15.95 which my husband had .I had Lasagna it was disgusting no meat just a slop told waitress who showed the chef and offered another one but had to wait 10 more mintues by this time my husband had finished .It came out and was exactly the same as the first one slop with no meat ?i heard a table near by complaining of the same problem .Will never go here again and will spread the word about this to as had to pay full menu price. Not offered any reduction,
Not too bad at all for an airport hotel, stopping here on business though, very happy with this hotel, bright and sparkling on the inside. Gym is well equipped and nice pool area with hot tub sauna and steam. Weather was ok so went out for a run, plenty of routes however pretty boring. Anyway I digress, the hotel room is lovely and clean breakfast for a tenner is ok for a hotel. I might look again for some where else to stay but it appears to be quite limited in Norwich so I would return. Thanks Holiday Inn 😜
Looks like it has just had some refurbishment work done and it looks very good! The bar was not cheap but what do you expect in a hotel. The room was very nice but one of the door handles was missing, not a massive problem but still doesn't look good. The TV signal is not very good if that matters to you. Now when we checked in we was told they have a separate restaurant to the bar and when we asked the waitress she was very confused and stated we only do bar meals there isn't a restaurant. This disappointed us as we saw other people eating restaurant food. Overall very nice hotel with pool and other facilities worth using.
All staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was fine and always clean and pleasant. Never any noise in the room from the airport, which is very close. The pool is nice, albeit crowded once four or more people are trying to do lengths. The gym looked good though I didn't actually use it. The restaurant was nice enough but our carvery meals every night were boringly similar and not especially hot. Disappointing that the nice Shiraz was only available on two of the four nights. Plenty of food though and breakfast was varied and ample. Mostly a happy experience. I would stay there again if in the area.
The receptionist was brilliant and the hotel was very pleasant and clean. Easy booking in and easy booking out (we had 8 days parking whilst we were away). This part of the procedure was FAULTLESS. However the breakfast was very poor - basic cereal, no muesli. Our timing must have been out as the breakfast when we took it (08:15) was very poor the bacon was very hard and dry and likewise the eggs, in fact everything had been sitting there for some time and just dried up. One of the worst breakfasts we have had. The hotel is also very noisy at night you can hear people walking in the corridors and talking - the person next door to us woke us up with their snoring and we found it hard to get back to sleep as it seemed to echo through our room. We were asked to do an online survey where I expressed my comments, at the end I was asked if I would mind if the management could contact me to discuss the matter – I have heard NOTHING which proves no-one actually reads the feedback left in surveys.
Went to an awards evening, must say the venue was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, but the food was dreadful, soup was like pond water, the main course, which had come out of the microwave, frozen undercooked vegetables, dessert was half decent, for the money we paid, I was expecting so much more, will avoid any Christmas parties held here, basically due to the poor food which lets the place down.
Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as we were on a coach trip o Norfolk. Beautiful hotel with very pleasant staff. The hotel was spotless and the food(breakfast and 3 course dinner) was fantastic. The drinks at the bar were expensive.
