Scandic Hell4.0 out of 5.0

Staying at the Scandic Hell Hotel has always been a must having to sleep over due to connecting flight issues. The buffet in the restaurant is a just fantastic. Some rooms need to be renovated, but over all the stay is always a positive experience.
The hotel room is okay nothing fancy but good for overnight. The highlights are the location, free parking, and free breakfast buffet. It's even better than the five star hotel breakfast buffet I had in Madrid which I paid 38 euro for. If you need to overnight at the airport, try this hotel. You will love their breakfast.
One of Norways best buffets, especially the Breakfast. Plenty local Food. Walking distance from the Airport (Trondheim Int Vaernes) and adjacent to HELL SHOPPING CENTER and the Salmon river. Beautiful view over the Fjord. Close to HELL Railway Station; Three directions, Trondheim, North Norway and Sweden (70km). Really the Center of Norway for all purposes ...
Very good airport hotel, excellent breakfast, comfy rooms, helpful staff. Not too expensive and close to theairport (10 min leisurely walk). Really recommend as a place to stay on the night before or after a flight out of Trondheim airport. Best breakfast buffet we've had our entire trip.
The thing I like about Scandic, is that no matter which one you are in, they are clean. Such a basic thing, but so many 'chain hotels' are not! Breakfasts are always fantastic, and the beds comfortable. Exactly what you need in an airport hotel. The bar downstairs wasn't open on a Sunday night, but fear not, restaurant staff were happy to help.
My cousin booked my wife and I for a quick shuttle to our flight the following morning. Our first surprise was the small but lovely pool on the seventh floor, which we had all to ourselves at 7:00 PM. It overlooks the HELL sign on the opposite hillside. Interesting. The BIG surprise was in the morning. The breakfast buffet was nothing short of amazing! It was nearly worth the price of the room, all by itself. It had everything! What a way to start a long trip. Do not miss that meal.
Disappointing stay, East Wing is old and outdated and not worth the £180 that I paid. I usually stay at the Raddison if I arrive late at Trondheim airport, but thought Id try the Scandic for a change. Bad mistake, I'll stick with the Raddison in future
I can't say too much about this place, as I arrived late and left very early. Hotel is next to the airport, its a little walk, but not far. Considering the location, parking at the hotel was free, which is a rarity at an Airport hotel these days. I arrived about 7pm in the evening, so managed to eat in the resturant, which offers both a buffet and an A la Carte menu. Buffet looked nice, but was over priced for my needs. I can't comment on the breakfast, as I had a 6 am flight, so left as the "early" breakfast was still being set up. Hotel room was ok, large and spacious, but lacking in plug sockets near the bed, which now a days is an essential, especially if you need to make sure your phone is charged and you hear the alarm at 3:30am!
We were two couples in transit through Norway and this was one of the best hotels we've stayed in. Very good breakfast and dinner buffet, plenty of good choices. Nice and clean. Driving distance 45mins to Trondheim downtown. Free parking available.
Great hotel with great service, fantastic breakfast and all for a good price. Quiet place considering train station and airport near by. Location is excellent outside the city but scenic routes make the travel worth it. I will be looking to book again with Scandic.
