Could not be more disappointed in this hotel. After traveling through Hanoi, Halong Bay and Hoi An and receiving amazing service from beautiful people, my fiancé and I had high expectations. When trying to organise a pickup the hotel told us we were unable to do so and sent us an address to tell the taxi driver when we arrived. The address given was wrong so at 4:30am we spent two hours trying to locate the reception. When we finally found it they said we were in the wrong place and sent us away, half an hour later the taxi driver takes us back to the same building and it was in fact where we needed to be. The check in process took ridiculously long time especially since we were the only people in reception. They could not find our booking and were unable speak speak English to communicate with us. Finally someone found our booking and then proceeded to tell us all the inclusions that were in our booking are no longer included because they changed hotel policy. This took another hour in reception to try and sort out but nothing was done about it. When we arrived from the speed boats to the island we went to check in but the room wasn't ready, which we expected because we were early. When we asked the hotel reception if there was anything to do while we waited he shrugged his shoulders and just said no. We asked if we could have breakfast and he said it would be $50 each for the buffet and that there were no other places to eat in the hotel. We ended up ordering from the bar snack menu and paid a large amount for very poor food, it was more store bought than restaurant quality. When we were able to check into our room we got settled and have to admit the views are incredible and the room comfortable. On reading through the room guide we found a page advising us that the inclusion that we thought we would be getting (cable car and theme park) were in fact included in our rom with no extra charge. Thinking they had just made a mistake at the mainland reception we went downstairs to enquire. Even with it clearly stated in the book they said that they would not honour it because some policy had changed and it was no longer valid. We spend half that day talking to managers trying to get the rest of our booking cancelled so we can stay somewhere else. They would not allow it and in the end agreed to let us use the cable car once. The management were very lovely and tried there best to make our stay enjoyable but unfortunately it was too little too late. I would definitely not recommend this hotel, not only is the service horrible but the distance away from everything makes getting around costly and a real issue.

Have just got back form Vinpearl Resort, the food was great our accommodation was excellent and we found the staff friendly and helpful. Two things that did disappoint me were the rudeness of some of the people holiday in there, some had no manners at all so congratulations to the staff for putting up with them with a smile, One thing surprised me, I asked how do we get from the Hotel to have a look at the golf course, I was told there was a charge to go and have a look. Although it was only a small charge my brother and I didn't go. This probably cost them a lot more than the price of the tutus drive there as we were looking to purchase some golf equipment, might be something to have a look at in the future. Would love to come back we did have a fantastic time.

I dont understand how anyone can give this place any bad review. The staff greets you everywhere you go, it is spotless even in public washrooms. We love the exclusive island and the golf course, getting around and in to town center is never a problem, their tuttuts and speed boats are amazingly prompt. I have traveled around Asia and stayed in a variety of 4.5 to 5 stars, trust me , this one is one of the top on my list. Of course you have to understand what to expect when you book a resort located on an exclusive island and a mini "disney like" amusement park. Viet people are in general very honest and extremely hospitable, I love the classy amenity and everything that comes with it, but I understand it doesn't come cheap, be realistic and enjoy if you can afford it.

Wonderful World, go to enjoy island and view ocean from it. Anything is excited. The Staffs are very polite and nice, restaurant is full of food to choose. Having many services for us to choose. We have much more experiences in that land. Not only Vietnam but also foreigners that can making travelling services of country is better

As a loyal customer who had always been staying at Vinpearl since its grand opening in 2008, I was absolutely disappointed by the service I received during my recent 3-night stay. Indeed, it was the most terrible and least relaxing experience I've ever encountered. The disappointment peaked to a point where I now know that I won't be coming back here in the future and would not recommend to any of my friends/relatives. The room and facilities were of poor quality (i.e. scratches on the floor, mattress were not comfortable and quite small for couples, etc). Staff's attitudes were absolutely terrible - we were interrupted by staffs numerous times to clean up our dishes while we were still enjoying our lunch/dinner. In addition, there was one morning where we were disturbed by one cleaning-room staff who continuously rang the room bell for 3 times (each time is about 3-second apart from the next bell) at 8AM asking whether she could clean our room. I then passed this feedback onto one of the manager and he instead reassured that ringing customer's room 3 times with the waiting time is 3 seconds between each bell is the hotel's policy (what the hell?). Another incident is when we went down to the restaurant to have our dinner, one of the front room staffs asked my partner to change his shirt as he was wearing a sleeveless one without being polite and giving any reason. I then approached a restaurant manager asking for clarification and he again mentioned that this is a policy where we should have read about it. I later found the policy in front of the restaurant, written in a form of a lengthy note on a digital screen stand that keep flashing back and forth in different languages - how on earth I am required to read their lengthy note without any pictorial sign???? I'm on my holiday and I'm paying money to read all of these? On my checkout day, after we travelled to the mainland ready to go to the airport, I asked one of the reception staffs for a feedback form and was informed that they don't have any at the mainland and told me that I could have asked the reception at the resort for it?! Poorly trained staff who doesn't recognise the importance of feedback and this written feedback could have stayed internal for their review but again, my feedback wasn't being valued from the start. I had so many other small incidents that I couldn't name all in writing but there is one thing I know for sure that I won't be back here in the future - the hospitality of this resort is just of poor quality and not worthy of the money I paid for.

Superlative location....5 stars resort inside the nature, mountain -sea -beach good service good food everything is perfect,a magic resort. You can get in this place by speed boat organized by the resort.

They do everything well. Your resort keycard is issued at reception on the mainland and you use this for your speedboat ride, hotel room, breakfast and if you choose to purchase tickets to vinpearl land theme park, your card gives you access to that too with the hotel providing a tuk tuk to take you there and back. The pool is enormous, with complimentary floats and balls for guests to use. Perhaps my only complaint would be the limited evening dining options - it's either buffet or room service really. For me this hotel is great for a 2 or 3 night stay.

This hotel has mixed reviews and I have to say after staying at many resorts this is not one I would return to. Vinpearl is 35km by taxi from CXR airport via a highway. Cam Ranh is a sandy area which you will notice by air. It cost me 563,000VND which I felt was pricey. The hotel shuttle was 650,000 as they had quoted me. I Guess it was still cheaper than the hotel shuttle. At CXR airport, look for the taxi you want. It does not operate like a standard western taxi rank of first taxi off the tank to go. Look for the Vinasun guy as the locals tell me that is more credible. The drive itself is a quick drive and not like driving through Phuket with a lot of traffic and twists and turns. My opinion is the hotel is run more like an amusement park with rules such as no food outside the island to be brought on. Everything on the island is designed to gouge you of money which I am ok for because it is a resort. However, this island could make more money if they didn't give you the feel they run it like an amusement park. When you arrive the reception, they will take your passports for check in. The boats to the island only travel every 20-30 minutes so you have to wait till a boat is ready and service for checking in is just slow. I had a problem with whether I could get on a boat because our family pictures weren't showing up. Each person gets a card with their photo attached to it from your passport and this needs to be carried everywhere for meals and entrance to the amusement park. Think of it as not just a room key but a smart card to track the costs you incur. Hence, this doesn't function like a normal hotel. Unfortunately their technology has also merged with service and staff are always emphasising how payment will be made which makes you feel like they suspect you can't pay. If you tell staff, you want to charge it to the room the next question is will you pay by cash or credit card and then they will follow up with a comment like we haven't taken this amount size as security off your credit card. If I couldn't afford to stay here I would not. It has one large pool split into different sections and it's easy for children 1metre tall to stand as it is 0.8M high which is next to the beach section. The beach however is a little rocky but not too bad. Just don't jump when waves come or you will land on small rocks. The costs of tickets to the amusement park they charged me was 617.000VnD for adults and 512,500VnD for children which is not much of a discount compared to those staying on mainland. It's a one day ticket to all indoor, outdoor and water park activities. Even if you want to go shopping in a shopping street they will charge you the same - that's not worth doing. The dinner buffet opens at 6pm and with Russians and locals combined, at 6pm it creates a culture of everyone racing to get food before everyone else and trying to hoard food. Really hard to enjoy one's food. The dinner buffet is nice but not the best and overpriced for the amount you pay. 2Mln VND for a family of 2 adults and 2 children is the cost. Plenty of Russians give you the Russian feel. One Russian lady walked out with a bunch of 30 monkey bananas and was challenged local Vietnamese staff. Eventually staff caved in and she annexed those bananas like something else annexed of recent times. Who walks out with 30 bananas from a buffet. We had some locals sit in our seat, because they just didn't care and the staff are powerless to do anything. The hotel itself is marketed for Russians and they are everywhere so long as you know you get that certain atmosphere. You have no choice when Travelling with kids but to spend your time in the island therefore keep your stay to a minimum and then head back to the mainland for night market action. The beach at the resort is not overwhelming but I Guess it is ok. Strong waves were pounding us and weather is cooler than in Ho ChI Min. If you have 2 kids, then either they share a single or they bunk up onto the queen size bed. One decent thing was the TV was a Samsung with Smarthub which some kids may like being able to watch you tube in down time like when it pours. Danang v Nha Trang and this resort.Danang is definitely better as the beach is nicer and furama resort Beats this resort hands down. If this hotel had different management like Holiday Inn, it would make a lot more money. Danang v Krabi - Krabi any day. Service and atmosphere superior.

Vin Pearl .. Positives: Very clean very spacious everywhere. Nice juices & mocktails. Great pools & tennis court. Villas look great and have their own pools .. Good beach set up. Plenty of staff everywhere. Nice Buffett for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Good shuttle & Catamaran (speed boat) service which goes back & forth to mainland every 30 mins good set up. Very well organised (Watch out for the locals & Russians who don't like to queue & just push through) Negatives: Only a few staff could speak English .. Very black & white rules & regulations style approach which meant we were left feeling like cattle or just a number. One small example .. My accommodation was prepaid - They couldn't just take a copy of my Amex for extras - they insisted on charging $3million dong as security.. WOW very poor. Where's the trust & sophistication in their accounting?? Anyway as expected one week later they've not refunded it .. gave up trying to find out at check in when they would refund due to the usual POOR ENGLISH spoken by staff!! No tourist info anywhere on Nha Trang. A la carte only room service as a la carte restaurants shut .. language barrier left me confused as to whether it was due to management changes, low season or other .. Whilst it was clean it was almost - Sterile. Cocktails too weak & watery. Villas look great and with their own pools .. But they gradually get further away from the main resort & restaurants so the furthest ones may find themselves with a 5-10 min walk. Watch out for the locals & Russians who don't like to queue & just push through. Constant development .. Landscaping; building sea walls at the end near villas.

Whoever wrote that this complex is old has written about the wrong place. This complex is stunningly beautiful and very high end. Amazing food, amusement park next door is fab for the kids, wonderful staff and streamlined processes. Most staff spoke good English. Beaches are sublime. Only downside is that it took about 19 hrs to get here from leaving our home in central Victoria, but once here we have totally relaxed. We love it!!
