Spent over 6 nights here, we booked the 3 bedroom beachfront villa. We had transfer booked from hotel approx. US$55 each way. This is an island, and in order to get here, takes approx. min 45mins each way. Waiting for golf buggy to boat transfer etc. Hotel was clean and huge. Our room was over indulgent and extremely comfortable. You need to pay a 8 million VND deposit in advance, if you don't agree you must pay for all meals etc by cash ONLY. Inconvenient to say the least, its not like you can run away. Rooms were cleaned daily, water replenished, room service was great. Villa's were located directly in front of beach. Negatives, barely spoke ENGLISH, was catering for the hordes of Russians. Not many Vietnamese dishes. We had to pay a further entrance fee for the Vin Pearl Land, amusement park, thought this was a money grab as we paid over AUD$5000 for 6 nights accommodation. Beach was beautiful. Breakfast was pleasant but lacked in flavour and authentic Vietnamese flavours, as my title states, Quantity over quality. There tours were horrendously overpriced, don't booked tours at resort, go to mainland, more than 75% cheaper. Vin Pearl resort was busy and definitely attracts with pictures etc, I will not stay here again, and there are better hotels on mainland with similar prices and will not take you approx. 45min to leave or return.
The resort was absolutely fabulous, room was impeccable. The staff were extremely accommodation and helpful. Would definitely recommend. The pools were on your doorstep - just beside the beach. The food was delicious - well done.
The hotel view is good and excellent service, also the breakfast is good. we got a private pool along with the hotel room and also a big pool bear by, and when you walk out a bit ,there is a private beach. all in all l, the service us really good
There really isnt too many positives in my review unfortunately. We were told by friends to stay at Vin Pearl aa they stayed at the luxury resort approx 5 years ago. When we arrived at approx 1.30pm we were told we couldnt get to our room until 2pm and to go to the bar and have a drink. We waited there until nearly 2.30pm when no one come to get us we thought we thought we should go back to reception to see if we could get into our room. We were then ushered to the lift and given our room key which was 8525. The young girl who ushered us to the lift couldn't speak english. We thought ok we are on th ed 8th floor... No 8th floor to choose only goes up to 5th floor. We worked out it must be the 5th floor. Our room was terrible. Didnt resemble too much like the pictures on booking.com It was dirty. Hand prints on walls, dirty marks on both light and fan switches. The bathroom was even worse. Mould and soap scum. The bottom half of the shower screen was just disgusting. I spoke to a Russian lady on reception who spoke broken english and told her how underwhelmed and dissapointed I felt about the room, i also asked if we could have some milk so we could make a cup of tea in our room. She said she would speak with her manager and get the room cleaned for us and send some milk for us. There was no information in the room about the resort, like where things were like towels for the pool/beach restaurants etc. The room apparently was re-cleaned but all they really did was fluff up the pillows. Dirty hand marks and mould Not sure if the language barrier was the problem here and they just couldnt understand what i was saying. I just expected more from a 5 star resort and we paid nearly $1000 aud for 3 nights. There is a dvd player in the room and asked where could we get a dvd from to watch a movie. Was told no DVDs. Why do they have the players in the rooms then??? It took them over 24hours to finally bring some milk up to our room so we could have a cup of tea.... Remember they advertise themselves as a 5 star resort. Im thinking more like 3 star really. They called us at 9.40pm at night to ask us what time did we want the room cleaned the next day... apparently they book it in??? We go down stairs for brekkie the following day. There is last nights leftovers still on the floor under our table... tried up pasta. We really just couldnt wait to get out of this place. The food was very basic, house keeping was below standard and service was even worse. I called the service desk on Wednesday to see if i could book on for a manicure. After a number of phone calls back and forth was told no they dont do that intil Monday... What?? Isn't this a 5 star resort. The staff and other guests just dont look happy, you smile at them and they just look away. If i was to stay here again they would have to pay me and not me pay them..... Sorry for the honest review but we stayed in the Sofitel in Ho Chi Minh city and then a week at the Mia Resort in Nha Trang on this Vietnam trip and both were just a pleasure to stay with. Made us feel welcome and comfortable and there service was just great. ** I have attached pics of our dirty bathroom
I guess nobody can say that this is a bad hotel ; it is definitely above normal standards however considering the money you are paying, you may not be satisfied at all. You should know about the following : + Pluses : + Being on an island, private clean beach, silent and peaceful location. + Pools are large enough, no crowd. Sufficient toilets, showers and clean enough + Clean, healthy food. No free beverages except tea and coffee, all other are to be paid + Hygiene, cleanness. This hotel is one of the cleanest we have ever seen. + Free-Wireless works well enough in rooms and nearby the hotel. (No need to enter pass code or etc all time, it is just as in your home, directly connecting + ) + If you are coming with a small child (2-4 years) considering the location and garden i may say that this hotel is far better than Vinpearl Golf and Bay Resort. Better playground, larger areas + nice kids play-room. - Minuses : - Not enough sunbed at the beach as a tradition in such hotels unfortunately. You should be waking up at 6 and put your towel to somewhere : // This shouldn't be the way. Placing 30-40 additional sets of sunbed + umbrellas would not be such a dramatic cost ! - Not so easy to get to city (free ride to the port + free transfer with boat + taxi at your own expense : ~35-40 minutes) and this procedure will be needed of course in case you want to take tours. All tours are starting from the main land not directly from the island. But considering the pluses of an island this can be neglected - Few options and same food all the time. Considering Mediterranean cuisine; i may not say delicious also. - If you didn't take lunch or dinner included, only chance you have is to eat at the hotel's restaurant. Going to city and coming back is not realistic in the middle of the day or evening. Hotel restaurants are expensive. Rooms service is not great and not much option at beach bar to eat. All island is being taken by VInpearl so, simply there are no options to eat somewhere. Our choice was breakfast + dinner ; thats okay somehow but don't think about coming here with an only breakfast option ! - It is forbidden to hang your clothes and swimsuits to the balcony. Even they have penalty for that ($) You cannot get your clothes fully dry to the next day if you are not rich enough to give them to laundry everyday. This fact is really annoying when you are paying such a money to a five star hotel. - There are no additional restaurants (Some like Seafood or Italian or other, which they give permission generally 1-2 times to eat there during your stay) It is always Swedish buffet in the same area. - For the first time in my life, i experienced difficulty finding drinking water : ) During the meals they give 1 glass of water. To get another one you should find waitress. Except lunch and dinner times, drinking water is not free. Only 0.5 lt bottle is given once a day without fee. - Seems to be a hotel with international standards but almost no English and Russian is being spoken by hotel staff. Learn Vietnamese before coming : ) - Finally, this is not about the hotel but be aware of the fact that Vietnam is newly becoming a tourism destination and for now they are far behind comparing to Thailand-Phuket for example in almost every way especially service quality. There are not really interesting places to go around Nha-Trang; so you may better choose to stay at Vinpearl island. Insufficient airport : Means additional 1-2 hours for standard procedures and take-off. It was also sad to see cockroaches at an international airport : ((
Magnificent hotel and surroundings! Food was AMAZING! Well priced also! The only thing I would change is the temperature of the outside pool. It would have been great to have it heated to a minimum of 80°. It was very cold for us in April.
We stayed at the VinPearl resort for 4 nights as a family and it was simply an amazing experience! From the rooms to the view to the food to the pool to the service, it was 5 star all the way! Friendly staff and efficient service, sumptuous buffet breakfast together with breath taking views made our holiday a memorable one! A special mention to Gayan, from F&B for his kind, friendly and positive attitude and service! Well done VinPearl, we hope to see you again soon:)
I would like to thank you Truc one of the working staff at Vinperal Nha Trang, she gave my family best customer service and thank you to all the other staff that helped in making everyone’s time at Vinperal relaxing and enjoyable.
I have been to many many different resorts around the world. The one that sticks out like a pimple is Vinpearl in Nha Trang. The activities outshine any other resort. There are the best Gardens displayed from around the world. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ride on the cable car was a unique experience on its own. Accessibility to island was very easy. The water sports was amazing. A dolphin show like non other. Overall I give it a thumbs up
I have been to many hotels around the world and this is one of the best ones. The facilities are beautiful, well maintained and include everything we could want: beautiful pool, fine sand beach, great restaurants, bowling, (free entry) night club, kids club, well equipped fitness area, good security system. The food there is a bit expensive for Vietnam but the hotel being on an island we expected that. If that's a problem you can take the free speed boat that runs every half hour 24/7 to the main land. And the customer service is excellent. They went above and beyond to resolve an issue we had with the taxi driver who ripped us off on the way in. They really didn't have to since the company isn't related to them in anyway. In the end they obtained that our ride back to the airport be for free!
- Walking distance to Vinpearl Land
