Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort

The hotel is on an island. To get there by speed boat we had to register at the big reception office on the mainland in Nha Trang. Registration was very inefficient - there were four of us and it took almost an hour to process our passports and there were just a few other tourists waiting to check-in on that day. They say in summer time upto 5000 people arrive there daily. I cannot imagine how much time one would need to wait in this scenario. After arriving at the island by speed boat (10-15 min) we were met by an open small bus and delivered to the hotel. The hotel is all marble, chandeliers, orchids in huge vase, expensive stores - looks plush inside and outside. Grounds are good, swimming pool is excellent, rooms comfortable, with well-equipped bathrooms. The breakfast buffet had lots of food choices but was not as good as in other hotels we stayed on this trip. The weakest aspect of the hotel is service. We asked for a cup of black tea at breakfast and the waitress told us that we need to pay extra for it. Later we saw that all kinds of tea and coffee were offered in the buffet area, but the waitress chose not to mention it. When we arrived we were offered rooms on the ground floor. Our Vietnamese friends asked to change the rooms for a higher floor. The answer was we would need to take a boat trip back to the registration hall and pay additional fee for the change. Our Vietnamese friends refused to do so and asked where they could write a complaint. At this point the rooms on the third floor were offered for no additional fee. we had to wait another good 30 minutes for rooms to be cleaned. The next day we asked staff if we could take a trip on the electric bus to see the island and first were told there will be no problem to arrange this for free. Later we were informed that there will be a fee of around $10, which we agreed to. Later yet we were told that it will not be possible to arrange a ride around the island - fee or no fee. On the positive side, we celebrated a birthday and asked for the hotel to make a cake and to arrange a flower bouquet which was done very well. A beautiful and tasty cake with candles was delivered to the room along with wonderfully arranged roses. If you want to have lunch or dinner, there are only two restaurants on the island and both are on grounds of the hotel. Both restaurants offer totally identical menu - lunch buffet around 22 USD and dinner buffet 33 USD. A la carte menu is very limited and quite expensive by Vietnamese standards. We ordered fried chicken rice with pineapple and vegetarian noodles. Food was not tasty, rice and noodles were dry and there was very little chicken and very little pineapple in the fried rice. To get reasonably priced and tasty food one should to take the bus and then boat back to Nha Trang and find your meals there. The best place is mediterranean restaurant MIX in Nha Trang. Both the boat ride and the bus ride from the hotel to the boat are free - which is a big plus. You cannot take your car to the island, but there is free parking near reception hall in Nha Trang.

This hotel was not at all what we had expected. It is extremely popular with Chinese and Russian guests rather than European. Far from being a secret hideaway, it is a very large, busy hotel with loud music and lots of activity. 'Abba' music plays 24/7 in the corridors which grates after a while. One real drawback is that there is no alternative catering other than the massive buffet displays. If you want a sandwich or salad at lunchtime, there is no other place to eat on the island. The buffets are very crowded and very expensive. We did eventually find one restaurant in the complex, the Oceania, which was much quieter and more pleasant than the others. The rooms are very comfortable but overall we found the experience rather overwhelming. The island continues to be developed and it is possible that it will become even busier and more hectic than it is now.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 days after being in the extremely busy Ho Chi Minh City. We got picked up by ferry and travelled over to the secluded island. Then a buggy car took us to the htl, driving around the Vinpearl amusement park. The reception is lovely and staff are plentiful. We were shown to our room and given a guide of the htl which was very informative. The hotel is lovely, fantastic beach, pool area and kids playground. However, the weather was so bad that we didn't get a chance to really experience any of it. We did enjoy the b/fast which was plentiful and due to the weather I can definitely reccommend the room service, which we ate our way through. Who wld hv thought I've visited italy loads of times but in Vietnam in this htl was the best spag bol I've ever had!

Stayed here for 1 night, what a lovely hotel, wished we would have booked for a longer stay. Luxury resort with lots of things to do, lovely beach and pool and also great gym and kids play area. We ordered lunch in the bar area as we arrived too early for our room, excellent service and reasonably priced food. The golf buggy so to take you to the boats and the power boats over to the main land are a great touch (speed boats run every 30 mins 24 hours a day). The staff are very helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend this hotel but stay longer then 1 night.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful Resort on a lovely and secluded island. The rooms were great. The food and service was solid throughout our stay. Breakfast, in particular, was delicious. There are very good touring options and all were reasonably priced. The fishing was surprisingly good. Definitely recommended for couples.

We were there for 2 nights, but those were enough. There's nothing else to do: only the amusement park with a water park & swimming in the sea or the swimming pools - OK there's a jacuzzi & sauna too. Only 1 restaurant & nothing else in the neighbourhood. You can't go out anywhere in the island, it's quite boring at nights - especially when it's raining. The area is nice, but we were a bit disapponting.

Luxury resort with many options, benefits - like home. It is suitable for family with teenagers, with small kids, senior members because they have amusement park, pools, ocean, golf course,... also have pagoda. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort for 6 nights after travelling through Vietnam for a couple of weeks. This was to be our more expensive 5 star option. Unfortunately, we ended up rating this resort lower than all the other lovely mid range options that we stayed in in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, and even Nha Trang City. Our dissapointment started when we arrived at check in and were asked to pay extra ontop of the extra that we had already paid for our children( 2 daughters) to share our deluxe ocean view room. The staff were relentless and unaccomodating in their understanding of the miscommunication. Our children also mentionned that this ended up being the one resort whereby we didn't end up knowing any of the staff by name! To add to this frustration, the staff kept presuming that we were Russian, and spoke very little English! We found the hotel and staff overall to be very conservative and mistrusting. The other negative was the lack of food options. Most nights we ended up taking the ferry and taxi back over to Nha Trang city for dinner. The buffet breakfast, and when we paid for it, the buffet dinner, were both good. The resort also resided on a nice beach and had a good pool for the kids to play in. Overall, we would chose somewhere else to stay on a future visit to Nha Trang.

This is a great hotel, one of the best I've been on. The hotel has some fantastic rooms, breakfast is far above the level nothing is missing, even sushi can you get. The staff is highly motivated to give you the best experience and the surroundings are fantastic, the pool is 5,700 square meters, fantastic. Everything is in tip top condition, really a great hotel. there are plenty of sunbeds, choose between the pool or the beach.

Best location out of three Vinpearl Resort for family stay with kids. Playgrounds, kids swimming pool, gaming room plus kids buffet serving lunch and dinner. If you have the chance buy Vinpeal Land (amusement park) access together with your beforehand. On the mainland use official taxi's (white, yellow, green). Avoid cars offered by hotel people (usually it's their friends) as they would charge you double.
