Absolutely friendly staff. Couldn't fault them. The breakfast was disappointing as we got there around 0930, with still an hour to go but there was no bacon or eggs and the urn for hot water was so tepid we couldnt make a cup of tea

The access to metro and restaurants is great. However, there was one night where I didn't have hot water in the shower. I tried to use the telephone to call reception and it didn't work either! Tried to call the phone number from Google and no one picked up. So I had to go downstairs (this was 10pm) and I've been informed they had some issues with the boiler. Had to wait until next morning. This is something that can happen, just hope it's not a regular problem. Also the carpets could be cleaned more often as it would give a better impression to guests. I liked the idea of having a microwave, kitchen sink and a frigde, so that was a very positive side of my stay. Apart from the hot water and carpets I had a good stay.

Didnt look like it had been cleaned sadly. Bathroom had areas covered in dust, hairs in the shower and on the floor. Room was very warn. Booked it to be close to the stadium which it is great for and the check in and out was super easy. Two lifts probably not enough to manage demand with the number of floors. Very noisy from the stack till quite late but theres not much the hotel can do about that.

Good location but a little disappointing

The lobby area was nice and the staff were great but we were really disappointed with the room we had booked. It didn't reflect what we saw on the pictures and looked quite dated and didn't "feel" clean (just for clarity there weren't any signs of dirt or rubbish). We immediately got changed and went out for food and had decided that we needed to change room. Luckily we expressed our concerns and were able to get an upgrade which was much better. I can't remember what the room was called but it's the one with the kitchen. We paid for breakfast but that was quite disappointing and so we left and went to a coffee shop instead. The bar/eating area did give off sports bar vibes as there were many screens and would probably be great for when sporting events are being televised. Location wise the hotel is in a decent area as everything we wanted was in walking distance but we just expected a little more from the hotel itself. Again, I would just like to say that I was really happy with the staff and their service.

This hotel HAS NO ON SITE PARKING despite what is stated in the Expedia listing!! Your only option is to park off site and pay £17/day. This is a discount from the £22/day that the garage charges, if you get your parking ticket validated at the hotel prior to leaving, and is a 4 minute walk to the hotel. Other than that, the hotel is nice within a short walking distance to many shops, restaurants/pubs and of course, St. James Park, where Newcastle UFC play.
