Spacious public areas. Very good room size for a couple, or as a Twin or even for a couple with a child. The food for dinner and breakfast was nothing special but certainly very good and nothing to complain about. This is a popular wedding venue on summer weekends. While it didn't bother me, it is under those circumstances not the quietest of venues.
Great hotel for all, has all you need & more we took our children aged 8 and they were welcomed with a gift, kids play areas & lovely grounds for them to run round in, signs saying kids are welcome to have fun. pool lovely & warm staff friendly, beds comfy, rooms quiet, breakfast delish & kids eat free, such an inexpensive stay !
This hotel is about 5 or 10 minutes from the airport and it will cost you up to £10 by taxi (slightly less on the way back bizarrely!), the hotel do have a shuttle but when I stayed you could only use it in certain circumstances and anyway they say it also costs £10, so not really much of an advantage. The hotel itself is really lovely, the foyer, bar, restaurant and gardens are classy, and modern. The room itself was large with separate bathroom and separate toilet, handy I guess if you have kids with you. It also had a lovely sofa, which is so much nicer than watching TV in bed. The breakfast is cheaper if you book the night before and on the one hand it was lovely, plenty of choice, but on the other hand it was the same old, and my pet hate, all the cooked foods being kept warm under hot lights, but in reality they are not that hot and even with the foil over them, they dry out, but to be fair that is normal hotel breakfasts for you. The evening meal took ages, and ages to arrive and in the end I had to rush away for my flight, leaving a colleague to pay for me, I certainly don't mind taking my time over a meal, but this went way beyond leisurely. Maybe a one off. Price wise I got a deal and it was fantastic value, and I would definitely stay again.
Lovely clean room, very comfortable bed, lovely food and great service. The facilities were top class and the location is easy to get to. Went for a three day business residential and stayed for the weekend.
I like staying at the Newcastle Novotel / the big issue i have is the £10.00 per night for the Dog i can understand a one off payment of £10.00 but really as the group reply is that they have to do a deep clean which they don't on a daily base. The other issue is the £6.00 per night of the parking on a out of town Hotel. I stay at the Hotel usually 3 time a year for 3 night stay each time. The cost mounts.
My son and I stayed at the Novotel Newcastle when we made a trip to the North East to visit family. I was able to check in Online before I drove up and had requested an earlier check In than the normal 2pm which was no problem. The room was airy, spotless and the beds comfortable. I had an executive room which sported a Nespresso machine which was a lovely touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had breakfast in our room and I couldn't fault it. I had requested a later checkout although we didn't use it and it was taken off the bill which I didn't expect. My ten year old son enjoyed it very much, especially the pool, and the fact that he could choose music to play at the bar. Id certainly look to the Novotel again. great stay!
great hotel great location , use this for parking and overnight before holiday. great airport taxi service, rooms very good and gardens fantastic. staff very helpful. will be using again soon as possible.
We stayed here the night of our flight. The mani reason I booked was it has a pool and a taxi shuttle to the airport in the morning. We were upgraded rooms which we loved as we like the things like gowns so you can ready yourself for the pool in your room. Staff and the welcome was wonderful. We are returning to stay again before our next flight.
We travelled as part of a tour ,Calvary Buffett cold food and no desert Disappointing ,no atmosphere Clean and comfortable rooms ,no usual high standard of London Novotel just ok for passing through hotel
We stayed here one night before a flight next day to avoid an early morning drive. Very nice room and good food. Quiet as well despite being near the airport. Only small negative is having to pay to park at the hotel.
