Really impressed with this hotel. Staff made us feel very welcome, all staff really pleasent and helpful. Room was lovely and clean. Beds comfy. Good selection for breakfast. Will definitely use this hotel next time we are in Newcastle.

Stayed for the second time at the Holiday Inn Express. Great hotel, great location not far from the railway station. Great staff especially Marc. good Indian across the courtyard _ Akbars and handy for the shopping centre.

When we went to check in the booking (made with couldn’t be found, however this wasn’t an issue and a room was found and and we were checked in quickly. All the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Great location close to O2 Academy and a short walk into city centre for shops and culture

Great location for central Newcastle, really helpful and friendly staff, very informative. Rooms nice, quiet and comfortable will definitely stay again. But of a pain having to use the multi-storey car park next door, however very close to railway station so a good option next time.

Speedy check in and was able to choose a quiet room any the back of the room - received excellent service at main reception. Rooms well equipped and clean. Only niggle was that the breakfast wasn’t very hot and not a massive choice for hot items.

Room comfortable, well equipped and clean. Reception staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast good, plenty of choice and hot items hot. Parking was extra, but near the hotel and this was made clear in booking

This was a great find on our trip. The staff at this location is just lovely - incredibly helpful, too. And the location is terrific. Just a short walk from the train station, so you can hop the train in from the airport and be here in a matter of minutes. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And, Newcastle is a wonderful area to explore. I'm waiting for the day we can be there for more than a few days, and can really get to know the city more!

The hotel is very conveniently located in the centre of Newcastle. Easy to get to from airport or metro. We flew in and got Metro to main railway station and then walked about under 10 minutes to hotel. The location is really good and with the public transport so good in Newcastle we did not bother to hire a car. The Metro is very close as is the city centre bus station and buses run very close to hotel too. Rooms were very clean with all the amenities you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Nice full breakfast included was great. Staff were great and very helpful, especially Michael Childers who was particularly helpful and also showed great initiative as the hotel was very full. We are definitely coming back and have already booked - What a great place Newcastle is !

We got a real bargain when we booked to stay here in December. We were going to a rugby match at Kingston Park and booked a room here so that we could also have a night out in the city. We got a double room with breakfast included for an amazingly low price! I know it was a Sunday and would expect to pay less than on the more popular weekend nights but I couldn't believe the price that we actually paid. Would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for the night with my friend as we were going to a concert at the metro arena , the hotel was clean and tidy and in a great location for anyone who is looking to see an event at the metro arena , literally round the corner. Breakfast buffet in the morning was spot on also , would stay there again no problem.
