We often stay in Holiday Inn's and coming back home to geordieland for the first time in years it was a no brainer for me, my wife and son to book.. The hotel is really good, the staff were attentive and super friendly from the reception staff to the housekeepers to the lad on breakfast (does he ever get a day off???).. My only gripe was the noise outside from tanked up idiots that went on well until the early hours screaming and shouting which kept us awake 3 nights out of 4.. We can't blame the hotel for that but it was a pain..
We stayed as part of a group and we could not have been looked after better really. The welcome was warm and explained everything we needed. The staff were great, housekeepers were particularly polite. The Rooms are comfortable and clean. It is in the perfect location for exploring Newcastle's city centre and beyond- it is also very easy to find if driving in from the South. Parking is convenient - but beware of the City Council wardens, they will catch you if five mins over your stay. The continental side of breakfast is great, the hot food offering not so good, but you cant have everything for the price you are paying in a buzzing city centre. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Thank you
Chosen as much for price as location and again, great stay for a great price. A little noise as is expected in a city hotel but not Intrusive in any way. Comfortable twin room, great shower. Though no parking on site, car park right next door, free after 5pm and Mon to Sat £6 all day or £3 on Sunday. Good night sleep . And hearty breakfast. We'll be back
I found the position superb for my purposes, just 5 minutes from the National Express Coach Station and a similar distance from Newcastle Central Rail / Metro station. Room on 4th floor was clean and functional, complimentary tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was excellent - a real good start to the day. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Check out was not until noon but as my coach back was not until very late, I was able to leave my bag at reception and they were happy for me to sit in the lounge area that evening.
Go to Newcastle every year for panto, not stayed at the holiday inn before but will do in the future, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, had trouble finding the hotel but was worth it, great price and great location.
The staff here are just amazing. SO friendly, so helpful, all of them. The rooms were wonderfully clean with comfortable beds. So nice to have a strong hairdryer, just like at home! Brilliant power shower. Great breakfast too with a few hot options available as well. Highly recommended!!!
From reception to leaving after a two stay the staff were exceptional. Rooms were a good size with everything you needed. Even an iron and ironing board!! Great value and breakfast was included with a good choice. Will definitely stay again and would highly recommend.
We stayed in this hotel for a couple of days between Christmas and New year. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the breakfast was really nice. The hotel is near the city centre so handy for shopping trips. There is a multi storey car park right next to the hotel but there is limited spaces so you have to arrive very early or late afternoon.
Wanted a cheap easy stay hotel for a night out in Newcastle. Comfortable clean and friendly . Breakfast fine . Staff really friendly . Couldn't fault it for the money and would definitely recommend it.
Had a one night, mid week stay whilst visiting for a football match at St James’ Park. The hotel is ideally situated for the ground and the town centre bars, restaurants and shopping areas. The bedroom was a family room and we found it very clean and welcoming. Check in and check out wasn’t too difficult and the breakfast which was included in the price was really good value. There is an adjacent multi-storey car park if you’re driving into the city.
