I stayed here for one night as was going to a concert and the staff were friendly and helpful and made me welcome and the breakfast was ok to and will be staying here again.. and I would be back there again..
Had a great time in this Hotel,Big Michael was absolutely great told us everywhere to go,and gave us a map all mapped out where to go nothing was too much trouble and all the staff was great. Would recommend to anyone.
Very convenient for the city centre, theatres and Christmas market, the hotel itself is large but also comfortable and friendly. The reception staff were helpful and efficient too. We only had breakfast there but the food and service was excellent, setting us up well for a morning if shopping and a long drive home. On the matter of driving, we used the car park next door. Turning up at 2pm it was completely full so we had to park elsewhere for a couple of hours before trying again - but once parked it’s quite cheap for overnight (less than £5) and it can be paid for online. All in all a good place for a stay.
Perfectly placed on the outer reaches of the city centre, very close to Metro arena and St.James Park Stadium and all the major bars and eateries. Hotel rooms could do with sprucing up and on the night we stayed corridors noisy with late revellers returning from their night out. All-in-all, a good hotel
The hotel is very well situated and is easy to walk everywhere in the city from. Although is right on a main road the double glazing means the traffic noise is fairly low. And they provide free ear plugs should you need them. We were 2 adults and one 11 year old staying for 3 nights. First room they gave us was very snug for 3 people. The double sofa bed took up all the spare room and we felt that this was too small for a 3 night stay. The staff were very helpful and moved us to a disabled room which was much larger and more suitable. Peter in particular was very helpful and moved everything. If you are travelling with a child you will need to ask for 3 duvets. 2 to put on the very thin and lumpy sofa bed mattress and one to cover the child. I wouldn't have slept on it, and I do think hotels need to be more considerate of this. However once we had our own version of princess and the pea she was fine. Our bed was a normal double, bit small, but comfortable. The room was clean, but I feel was in need of a deeper clean. The edges of the bathroom were a bit grim, and the corners of the carpets a bit hairy, but the bits we were using was fine so I didn't mention it as I expect it's scheduled for a deep clean. We did struggle with the cleaning staff. Every morning they congregated outside our room (our room was next to their store room) and had a good catch up, and I'm not talking a quick hello. First 2 mornings I had to ask them to be quiet. We did bring this to the attention of the management who were incredibly kind and apologetic and after the second time I believe the staff were told much more fimly to be quiet in the morning. So by the 3rd day we were fine. Breakfast was good, lots of it, good range. I would definitely return.
I stayed with work for another two nights. The hotel is new, clean, with great staff and a pleasant included breakfast My AC/heater broke in my room but the staff tried to sort it in my absence. When I got back that evening my room for toasty warm with a separate heater - all sorted. Great location as well very near the Central Station and Metro. Thanks to the team.
Excellent location, ideal for metro arena and city centre, very clean rooms, staff very helpful, breakfast was delish, free wi fi, only one very small criticism £7 for a glass of wine which wasn't very big, will definitely stay here again
booked hotel about an hour before check in, asked for a quiet room and thats what we got, lovely comfy bed and nice size room, right at the end of the corridor so brilliantly quiet, breakfast really nice as was the breakfast area, altogether a great stay
Great location, very friendly reception staff at all times, breakfast was great, rooms clean and a good size with free wifi to boot. I felt the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere here. Room faced onto main road but this didn't have a big impact on my quality of sleep so literally no complaints!
Excellent location just a few minutess walk from railway station and well located for main city centre shops bars restaurants and arena/theatres. Quick check in service and friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. My only negative was the coffee machine at breakfast ~ only warm tepid coffee by the time we went at around 9am when breakfast is served until 10am but food was ok and included in price so only minor complaint. Would definitely stay here again for shopping trips, music events etc.
