A Cosy Place in the Heart of the Mournes
Relax and unwind in our cosy space in the heart of the Mournes.
We are at the foot of the Ulster way, with the track to the Mourne mountains in one direction and Tollymore forest in the other a stroll is always sanctioned! Then come back and fall asleep In front of the log burner.
Meelmore lodge coffee shop is a 10 minute walk
Newcastle is 10 minute drive
Belfast is a 1hr drive, or 1hr bus journey from Newcastle
You really are in the heart of the mountains here!
Please note that we will provide £4 a day for electricity (this is usually more than enough) however if you exceed this then we ask you to pay the extra. We have this cap as there are electric heaters in the property that can potentially use a lot of electricity, but there is a log burner so these heaters are not typically necessary. We will provide the first bag of logs for free then there is a charge after that.
There is no garden with the property, but you walk out of our driveway and turn right straight into Tollymore forest 🌳 for multiple walks - and turn left straight into the Mourne mountains!

A great location, lovely little place to stay. Host, very quick and amazing at what they do. This little barn house is one of those places, you want to keep to yourself…. but it’s that good, I’m sure it will never be short of people wanting to stay in it. We’ll definitely be back again.
