Watch out! The description of the house that was on the VRBO website when we rented – specifically the sleeping areas -- was COMPLETELY different than the actual house. Details are below. We called immediately upon arrival because it was obvious that it didn’t have even half the number of beds that were advertised. The host and VRBO acknowledged that they made huge mistake in the description, but they argued about who was at fault. I requested a 50% refund at that time, as we were getting fewer than half what was promised. VRBO promised to work it out, but they continue to give us the runaround. Lesson everyone should take from this: VRBO does NOT clarify or verify the info a host gives, and some hosts are not honest in their description. We would have moved but it was Friday afternoon, Labor Day weekend, and we couldn’t find another place available at the last minute. Super uncomfortable situation, made even worse because it was relatively expensive. Descrepencies: Advertised 8 queen beds, 2 double beds, 1 twin bed, 2 twin bunkbeds, saying it slept 15Instead, it had fewer than half the sleeping places: 1 queen bed, 4 double beds, 1 twin bed, 1 twin trundle bed In addition to these major inaccuracies:•Door in the downstairs bedroom doesn’t close•The outside grill was so rusty and filthy it was impossible to clean enough to use•Did not have enough chairs in the kitchen (3 in one area, 6 in another) so we could never all sit down and eat together•Ice maker didn
