Hotel and staff or wonderful I made our anniversary very special a time that we will never forget

Who would have thought peace and quiet in NYC ? This location provided just that plus an awesome view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and reasonable access to all Manhattan attractions . The staff was always cordial and helpful . We shall return !

The service here is outstanding; everyone goes out of their way to greet you and offer assistance. Have not had dinner at hotel; but breakfast and lunch were very good. Beautiful facility right across from Battery Park, and short walk to World Trade Center. My only complaint is that the lighting in our suite was too low to allow for reading in the living area. They need to add another lamp or ceiling light.

Prompt service, cleaned my room twice a day, complimentary chocolates. We are happy with our stay.

On top of this being a very nice hotel as you'd expect for any Ritz, the staff was super friendly to our entire family. Our kid was give a little Statue of Liberty statuette at check in, which she was thrilled about. The hotel is great for families. The telescope makes for fun viewing of the SoL and Ellis Island. It is in a very family friendly area of New York with lots of parks nearby.

As one would expect, a Ritz Carlton hotel stands for quality. The moment you step into the lobby, you feel the luxury surrounding you. The reception personnel was extremely attentive and professional. The room had a fantastic view of New York harbor, it was very clean and tastefully furnished. The very comfortable King-sized bed enabled us to have a great night's sleep. All in all, a positive experience which we would definitely repeat.

I stayed at this hotel for a treat - a night on my own away from the kids. I found it to be nice and comfortable. Beds were lovely. Crying baby next door wasn't great, but a mother myself, I didn't want to complain. Food was so/so. Battery Park is waaaaay downtown, so it's not that convenient and there were very few cabs. That said, it's exactly what I wanted - to be out of the scene in a quiet and peaceful place.

Walking distance to 911 Memorial and across street from ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Room was very quiet although hotel was full. Staff friendly. And accommodating.

The hotel staff was wonderful. We were having trouble getting a taxi and so they gave us a ride to our dinner location int heir hotel luxury van. They were all very attentive. Would have like to have a coffee machine in the room.

It is convenient to everything. Parking is not easy.

Whenever I travel, I lodge at the Ritz Carlton. This is due to the superb service and immaculate rooms. Unfortunately, this RC did not live up to these standards. The sheets were torn around the edges. The towels and rags had small holes in them. The carpet appears to be old and badly stained in many areas. Also, the mini bar was locked and I was unable to gain access. There was an awful, sour smell in the corridor. In contrast, the employees were so gracious and helpful. They continued to live up to the RC reputation. The employees and location are why I give this hotel 3 stars.

Beautiful views of Hudson and Statute of Liberty. Lots of green space close. But bit out of way.

This is a part of town that doesn't always get the attention it deserves. Seconds from the Pier looking out on the Staute of Liberty. Fun walking/biking trails and lots of good restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. The Ritz continues to be a a standard for luxury and value. Great family spot as well as a romantic getaway.

Everything was perfect! Top notch service and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. We had a spectacular view of the Statue of Liberty.

Beautiful room, great views and perfect service. Doesn't get any better.

I like the Battery because you get a break from the hustle and bustle of midtown. I can take a run along the water, walk a few minutes up to Soho or the Village for dinner. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially when our room was not ready on time...I was a bit surprised about Sunday Brunch (took 10 or 15 minutes to get coffee even though they were not busy)...may have been understaffed that day but everyone was nice nonetheless.

Everyone was very friendly and accomadating. Beds are very comfortable and the shower is heavenly.

The hotel is a business class type of place without an interesting lounge/lobby area.

The hotel is great but I would say it caters mostly to business travel and is not overly luxurious. I was at the Chicago Ritz Carlton the following week which is much more luxurious. The lobby and bar are small and nondescript. The rooms are nice and large for New York. I like the location as it is close to multiple subway lines -- but if you are not comfortable taking the subway, it can be a long distance by cab to midtown.

Hotel was very comfortable with an excellent view. Loved the size of the bathroom and comfortness of the king size bed. There always was plenty cabs out front which made it easy to access transportation.
