Our host was friendly and got back to us fairly quickly about a 2 hr early check in!
We arrived to finding cockroaches and flies all throughout property and decided to clean up as this was our last option since being cancelled on the DAY before traveling bc from Texas.
We planned on showering and realized there was NO hot water. We contacted property manager and he came and attempted to fix, it did not work so his daughter came later that evening: We all rinsed off in freezing water and contacted him again the next day as we were leaving for our festival. We returned, again, to NO hot water.
The property manager came back and said this had never happened and he would have it fixed. Our trip was 5 nights and NOT one time did we have hot water:( We ended up buying Raid for the cockroaches and doing the best we could to sleep without fear of bugs. I asked for a refund at the beginning if hot water was going to be out, because I had all my funds tied into this property bc our trip was already quite expensive. We left the returned to the house with tons of anxiety that bugs were among our stuff and no hot showers to look forward to:/
After returning home he hesitated but said he could offer possible partial refund after VRBO paid him, which he said would take at least 30 days! I had such a smooth booking experience and was excited to use again, but Im at a total loss for all the $ we spent when we could have been in a nice hotel for 5 nights for what we paid. -Loga
