Only complaint was the first room Assigned to me, switched to another room facing the side instead of the parking lot!

My experience was nothing short of amazing. Clean rooms , great staff . Comfortable . My only disappointment was that there's no mini bar in the rooms. And there's no spa. (They should really add one) besides that , very clean hotel . Short cab ride to bourbon street. I'll definitely stay at this hotel for voodoo fest !!!!

Fine hotel with generally "Japanese" styling. Sits right on St. Charles so streetcar access to NOLA is a snap. No pool/hot tub so leave your swimsuit at home. The staff is first rate and the rooms are comfortable. Also pet friendly.

Hotel Indigo charges for valet parking but there is plenty of street parking available to avoid that cost. When we drove up nobody jumped to help us. The day valet guy seemed very uninterested in our arrival. However getting our bags to our room ourselves saved us tip money and wasn't difficult at all. We asked for and were given a refrigerator for our room. The room was very, very nice and very clean. No bathtub but a great shower. Our little dog had no problem staying in the room while we explored the French Quarter. A couple of blocks east of the hotel is the Trolley Stop Cafe. Great food at great prices including a 2.99 early breakfast special. Canal Street is a 20 minute trip on the Saint Charles Trolley Car. So you are close to the action without the noise and hub bub. We highly recommend Hotel Indigo.

Hallways were dirty with an off smell. Ongoing alarm issues.

Our family of 5 was in New Orleans for a Tulane University college tour. Hotel Indigo is perfectly situated on St. Charles with a trolley stop right outside the hotel front door. We were able to jump on and head up to the college for the morning tour and back on later in the day to head downtown to the French Quarter. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel too as well as a great party store right next door for snacks, coffee and even a bottle of wine! The hotel itself is welcoming, clean and very affordable. The decor is eclectic and trendy and the lobby is huge with plenty of space to relax, grab a bite to eat or grab a drink at the cute bar. Our double queen room was super spacious. Very cozy beds and the bathroom was fantastic with a natural stone shower floor in the HUGE walk in shower. At the foot of one of the beds is a chaise lounge which our 11 year old was able to sleep on rather than having to put 3 in a bed! That was such a pleasant surprise. Overall you can't find a better place to stay for a New Orleans vacation!! New Orleans is the most friendly city, everyone was so welcoming, helpful and kind. If our daughter ends up attending Tulane we will definitely end up being regular guests of the Hotel Indigo!!

We did an impromptu visit, first timers! We couldn't have asked for a better place. The hallways was the only tiny smudge, for us, but who complains about a hallway, right? Cable car took us everywhere we wanted to go. Super nice area. Paying for parking was kind of meh, but again, for the price....

I was warmly greeted by Robert at the front desk. I told him I just bought a house in Nola and wanted a special room. He upgraded me to the Mardi Gras suite and all I can say is wow. Kitchen, living room, big bedroom, two bathrooms and best of all an outside deck with a running fountain and comfy furniture. It was clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Had breakfast at their restaurant and it hit the spot. Overall great location and great hotel

Lovely hotel. Immaculate. Excellent staff.Convenient location. Delicious, fresh room service food.

Great food, decor, and clean rooms, but the staff is the really great thing about this hotel. They are uniformly helpful and kind.

Let me start out with the bad news, I was fortunate to have a room adjoining a family with a very fussy baby. Now, speaking a grandfather, I typically have no issues with fussy babies when traveling, however, I do have an issue when I can hear that child through the walls as clearly as if they child was in the room with me. Do they not make hotels with any sound dampening at all? Now for the good news, awesome hotel for the amenities and the staff were top rate. A little bit of a wait for valet in the morning. (The front desk had to find the guys) But the hotel itself was gorgeous. Wonderfully located on St. Charles street. The room itself was very European in flavor and nice. Overall, a very nice night in a city I love a great deal.

First - this is a great place if you're going to Jazz Fest. The 91 bus is right at the corner of St Charles and Jackson, and will take you directly to the Fest, for a $3 ride all day (until 4am) pass. A lot cheaper and easier than the Gray Line rip off on Canal St. Hotel Indigo is a very nice hotel. Very comfortable, clean and in a safe neighborhood. A few blocks away is Magazine St, which has all the charm you expect from NOLA, but without the drunks and the spilled beer smell of Bourbon St. A few good restaurants within walking distance (reservations recommended), or you can jump on the St Charles street car line that will take you further into the Garden District or to the French Quarter. What's not to love?

My girlfriend and I drove across the country from Los Angeles to Florida, and on the way back we set aside some time to hang out in other cities. We decided on New Orleans for New Year's Eve and couldn't be happier with the decision. From the night we arrived at the Hotel Indigo, we were impressed. It's beautiful on the inside, the staff were all incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgable, and then: the room! The room was HUGE compared to any of the places we had been staying. We never felt cramped, which is saying something considering the amount of luggage 2 people and a dog take on a cross-country road trip. Oh yeah, they're pet-friendly too. All in all, we had an excellent stay. Hotel Indigo is a definite recommend, and I know we'll be going back the next time we're in NOLA.

I was at the Hotel indigo to visit with my daughter and family over Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel staff were all courteous , helpful and anxious to please. The hotel interior design was very pleasing, with a modern and relaxing ambience. The presence of an in-house restaurant was especially useful at least for breakfast. The hotel seems to have taken extra steps to assure a secure environment. The other guests seemed to be mutigenerational family groups.......lending a relaxing warm environment to the entire exprience. Location excellent ....expecially the streetcars across the stret.

The Indigo in the Garden District is my favorite. We spent 3 nights and have no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is spacious with lots of countertop and walk in glass shower with pebble floor is very nice. Beds are firm and comfortable with very nice bedding and pillows. We had a street side view of St. Charles and room was very quiet. We were on the top floor and could not hear any street noise. Front desk clerks, valet parking guy and bartender all went out of their way to accommodate our needs. This hotel was built in 2012 and is maintained well. Access to the French Quarter was easy by taking the St Charles street car. The Garden District is across the street from the hotel and we enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and looking at all the grand old houses and landscaping. There is a cemetery in this neighborhood too which is open to the public and is one part of our trip I will always remember. Full of history. Magazine Street is a short walk as well. You have park on the street or pay $20 a day for valet. This is cheap compared to the hotels closer to the quarter.

Great location! The trolley stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely and accommodating.

The rooms were fantastic! I've never seen a room so nice for the price! Valet could have been faster, but it was nice not having to worry about parking at night!

My husband and I were traveling by car from Miami to Texas and booked a stay at this hotel to stop and rest. Our travel time took longer than expected and didn't check in until after 12am. Coming in exhausted as we were from driving we still came in with a smile but we were not welcomed with friendly faces from the two front desk attendants. They were far from courteous & made it seem like we were bothering them after 12am. We had our small Pomeranian with us & had to pay an additional $50 for him for ONE night, complete rip off. I called the front desk in the morning asking if room service could deliver us 1 disposable toothbrush and she basically told me I can come down and get it myself. And to top it off there weren't enough towels supplied. The atmosphere at checkout was pretty much the same. The only good thing about this hotel is the room decor. Not worth the money, at all. Extremely dissapointed.

Because it is in the Garden District, on street parking is available (and free, which is not the case with anything in the French Quarter). Once the Streetcar tracks are repaired on St. Charles in front of the hotel, the location will be super convenient for around the town travel, even without a vehicle. The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating and the housekeeping as well, was more than up to par.

I thought the hotel was uniquely and tastefully appointed and the rooms were very nice. Only downside was limited hours for bar and restaurant and not really full-service, but I would go there again because it was more intimate than a big chain hotel and had the charm of yet a B&B without all of the fuss.
