I enjoyed my stay here. Very convenient location. Room was clean and i found the staff very helpful. Good value for your coin, Walking distance to some great restaurants. Stayed 5 nights and yes one night was a tad on the noisy side, but hey i have had that in even the flashest motels noisy nights.
We stayed for 2 nights before heading to the Isle of Pines. The hotel is well placed for downtown Noumea near the market and museums. The hotel is a little tired but the room itself was clean and a very good size for the price. Didn't try the breakfast but it seemed to be good value, and the cafe underneath the hotel was good for dinner when we were uncertain of our bearings.
Our one night stay here can only be described as the night from hell. We were in a room on the third floor and the noise, voices, yelling and banging coming from i don't know where was incessant and kept me up all night. It was very close maybe from a neighbouring building may be from the same building, it was hard to tell. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab and the pillows were not much better. To boil water you had to place the jug on the floor because the cord was too short to reach any of the other power points. The fridge was not even plugged in so bad luck if you wanted to keep anything cold. I would find somewhere else to stay - it is convenient to the ferry though.
It is well located in the heart of Noumea; it was the best hotel in the city long time ago. But it is now a little bit old. However it may be, it is quite confortable. If you don't need to be in the city, it is better to go along the seaside because Noumea is not an exiting city.
Stayed one night before flying out. Hotel in town. Easy to find. Lobby very unpretentious but the staff were good given our lack of French. The room was very large. No view from window. Very quiet. Bathroom old style with shower over bath. All clean and tidy. Didnt try the breakfast as early flight. Wandered around Moumea trying to find a restaurant and ended up at the one next door to the hotel. Had a good menu and the food was good although not memorable. The front desk arranged a shuttle for us (3000 XPF each). Would we stay again? Probably as most other hotels are more expensive and by the beaches. Here you could explore Noumea itself.for a day and ferry out to an island or two for the day.
The Best Western Hotel Le Paris is a good choice, it is conveniently located near the downtown of Noumea, a little bit far from the beach but it is ok, the rooms are big and clean but sometimes smelled like mold and he attitude of the people at the front desk could be better, however for the price it is good, besides the wifi is fast
We needed a reasonably priced hotel in the centre of town, as we were arriving on a midnight flight. Hotel le Paris served this purpose effectively. It's a good location if you want to be in the CBD area. Rooms are clean and satisfactory - generously spaced business-style rooms. No ice machine or ice buckets available through room service, but then again my french is particularly bad! Bag storage was helpful as we ducked out for a daytrip after checking out, but be prepared to be handed a key to the luggage room, and expected to deal with storing your bags yourself. A satisfactory hotel depending on what your needs are. I wouldn't stay here for tourism personally, but for a more business-centred trip this Hotel would do the trick. Service in the Breakfast restaurant is sweet, though. A friendly start to the day!
I never been here as a "formal" guest actually to be honest, I arrived at 4 am because my company forgot to book my hotel and my flight was really delayed and i had to leave to the port at 7 am so explain this to the front desk guy, he told me i can stay in the lobby meanwhile and use the computer with internet if i want to. he never charge me anything or ask for anything in return; thats why im writing this review. Thanks New Caledonia for you amazing welcome... this will be my first option next time I'm here.
This hotel is located smack in the middle of Noumea. This is not a tourist hotel and is away from the beaches and cafes that attract visitors to Noumea. For a business traveler the location is ideal as it is within walking distance of most of downtown Noumea. The room was quiet even though it was on the street side, and the hotel has a breakfast café on site, and a bar/café next door. The room was spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful and could speak English and make bookings ahead and arrange airport transfers. However, if you are a tourist the hotel has limited facilities. It does not have any outdoor area, decks or pool. The beaches are a bus trip away and surrounding restaurants are limited. The best area for tourists is Anse Vata not downtown Noumea.
Recently, I had a week holiday in Noumea staying at Hotel Le Paris. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is by La place de Cocotiers where special events were taking place every night leading up to the new year's eve. I enjoyed walking there to see a concert, play and hip hop dancing competition! The whole park was lit up with beautiful Christmas lights at night, too. Local bus stops are also nearby as well as shops, restaurants, tourist information centre and museums. Fresh produce and fish market is only 10 minutes walk and has lots of local craft and souvenir stalls on Saturdays and Sundays. NO 10 and 11 buses can take you to the beaches and it takes only 15 minutes. The room was spacious, clean and has a fridge and tea/coffee facility. The bathroom was very spacious and having a bathtub was a bonus. Although my room on the 3rd floor was facing the street, there was no noise from the street and a cafe next door. Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety to choose from and the ladies who served there were very cheerful, welcoming and helpful. Staying at Hotel Le Paris made my first holiday in Noumea so pleasant and memorable that I will definitely go back again. Thanks, Hotel Le Paris!
