8 Sages Greune was a fantastic property to host a weekend celebration of a birthday, retirement, and bon voyage celebration. We occupied 7 bedrooms among the three buildings. The main home had a large gathering space and kitchen replete with cooking and serving utensils. Two refrigerators became handy in the main building and bunkhouse. One concern: no ice making abilities either in the refrigerator/freezer unit or in an under counter ice maker appliance. The pool is very effectively heated when requested (separate fee); despite calling and speaking with the house staff, we couldn’t seem to make use of the in-pool hot tub to its higher temperature limit, the controls available against the guest house but completely obscured by bushes. The upstairs king bedroom shower was reported to have only hot water and very poor drainage. A number of branches from a tree had fallen and came to rest against the kitchen window at the sink. We couldn’t figure out any way in which to turn on the front porch lights or lights wrapping around the trees in the front yard. These are all only small complaints: it was an amazing venue for two nights of an extended family gathering and a night for a party with friends. Thank you!
