We loved the fact that the property was close to Goreme Center, lots of dinning choices, we walked to the Goreme air museum, great breakfast & staff, loved the terrace, we were able to see the air balloons from the terrace. GREAT LOCATION.

Lovely stay at Goreme house. Very convenient to everything. I had my parents with me, both 70 l, and we were abke to walk a lot of the center and cone back for a little siesta before heading back out for dinner. Orcan and his father were so helpful. You can tell the whole family is very friendly and caring. Book your hot air balloon ride with them. They really do have good deals. Very helpful in a pinch when I had an issue with my originally booked ride.

We had such a lovely stay at Goreme House from start to finish. We walked into a lovely outdoor lobby with a beautiful scene and we were met by Okan. He was so helpful and immediately got us set up for a Turkish night (meal and show) and a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon ride. He took care of getting the reservation and payment on site. When we came down to meet our bus we come to fond out that Okan would personally drive is to and from the location. The following morning we had a spectacular Hot Air Balloon ride (a must do if in the area of Cappadocia). Okan also recommended the places to visit on our short timeline. A yummy breakfast buffet is served from 8:30-10:30 with a beautiful view of the area. The rooms are a beautiful blend of “old timey” with a modern, clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Highly recommend staying at Goreme House and meeting Okan and enjoying the features of the hotel in this very unique area.

Everything was good, except that the internet was a bit unstable sometimes, but that’s a problem of Göreme itself. The host was extremely helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was great too!

Thank you for a great time in Cappadocia

If you are looking for a place to stay in Cappadocia I highly recommend Göreme House Hotel. Nice and clean room, beautiful decorations inside the room, excellent service. Comfortable and big bed, good water pressure. Breakfast wise you have a lot to chose from. The staff helped us with all our tours, red tour, green tour, hot air balloon tour, turckysh night, even throw in a free horse back riding tour. The day before our check-out, me and my girlfriend had to go to the hospital, Kemal drove us there, waited for us, drove us around to find an open pharmacy to buy medicine and drove us back to the hotel, free of charge. Overall, excellent staff and service, they will do everything they can for you in order to have a good stay. We would happily return to this hotel if we have the chance.

We chose the Goreme House hotel because of its central location and excellent prices. From the pictures, we could see that it looked to be an authentic Cappadocia area building with a lovely courtyard and terraces with excellent views of the town and many fairy chimneys dotting the landscape. The manager Gokhan and assistant Ahmet were so kind and helpful to us throughout our stay, offering valuable advice and recommendations from transport to restaurants to tours and sights to see. The breakfast there is excellent and a perfect way to start a day full of walking and hiking. The lovely ladies in the kitchen will also make delicious omelettes at no extra charge. This was my 5th visit to Cappadocia but my first stay at Goreme House. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Worst hotel

This is the worst hotel I have ever been in. It was dirty and everything in it was broken. The pictures are deceiving and we had the worst time in the hotel. I can’t imagine how someone can fail to make basic maintenance work like having a working lock, working shower heads, and lights. There was no ventilation in the room and by the way this is not a cave hotel as they claim.

Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend this hotel! All of the staff were super helpful (shout out to Nihat who was amazing!!), it is in a great location, you can walk to many restaurants and shops in minutes, the breakfast included is very nice and they provide extra hospitality (water, coffee, tea, etc). You can book all tours through the hotel as well which is helpful.

Convenient location. No A/C and it was impossible to open the window and get a breeze into the bedroom. The shower heads were cheap...one sprayed most of the water out the side of the head and the rainwater head was cracked down the middle and was impossible to direct the spray.

Charming, simple and friendly

The place is very cosy and friendly with a very convenient location for the centre of Goreme and all the attractions. Roof-top terrace (the norm for most of the accommodation in this area) allows a lovely view of the incredible Cappadocia landscapes. Service was fine; the restaurant is only open for breakfast which was quite basic but adequate. The staff brought us freshly cooked additions (different items each morning) as a bonus. The manager actively sought ideas for improvements and our feedback on the stay on our last morning.
