perfect get away

Property very clean and well kept. Five-minute walk to convenience store or the beach, twenty-five minute walk to Nerja and large grocery store. Very relaxing.

We loved our stay, the villa is private and in a great location, we had a hire car which I would recommend having if staying here The pool is great and the villa is really nice, we can’t wait to come back.

Peaceful and Private Villa

Great value. Rustic Spanish atmosphere. Well kept garden and pool. Very private and peaceful but just 25 minute walk along the beach front to Nerja (5 minute drive). Nerja has the best beaches and a huge number of restaurants and bars.

Do NOT book this property by VRBO. We were robbed during our stay and VRBO did nothing. We didn't feel safe anymore so we stayed the rest of our holiday at friends who live in spain. The host did their best but we booked at VRBO and they have a worthless service

Lovely old house, very clean & tidy. Kitchen & equipment basic but perfectly adequate (even for keen cooks like us). Barbecue excellent. Large private garden very pretty. Pool a tiny bit murky by the end of our stay but wasn’t a problem. Some furniture in the house old & needed updating (difficult drawers etc but again, not a problem at all). The area is gorgeous, house surrounded by orchards & a 5 min walk from a beautiful beach. Host communicative, friendly & helpful. We would happily revisit.

Lovely villa but if you have mobility problems there are a lot of stairs to cope with but lovely garden and pool easy to find every thing you need in the property only one bathroom and water in bathroom mostly only luke warm

Villa life

The building is old but very airy. We didn't need to use the top floor, stairs were quite steep. Everything else was good. Very central and really enjoyed our stay

A good 30 min walk to nerja

We had a lovely week stay at this villa. It is a fair walk away from Nerja and the last bit of the walk to the villa was a little scary, late at night. The villa would benefit from aircon. Kitchen utensils limited however management were responsive.

Lovely old house in nice grounds

Really lovely old villa clean and comfortable. Only things for improvement: Can you put in soft white LED light bulbs instead of the cold white you have now. Bed sheets, cotton please and duvet covers rather than just sheets. Bath seems to be leaking a bit and plug a bad fit. All in all a great place in a handy peaceful location for Nerja. Would stay again.

Hotels for us next time

The property is very nice and has some stunning features. The outside space was beautiful, the pool was great and frequently used in the very hot weather. However, the lack of basic essentials let’s it down. Sounds picky but there were no large drinking glasses, no tea towels, no plugs to fill the sink, only 1 fan for the 3 bedrooms (as there is no air conditioning) very basic bathroom and hardly any hot water, not great for 5 adults in the heat! We’ve lived and holidayed in Spain for many years and know that hot water can be a problem at times so maybe a bit harsh there. The property could be absolutely stunning with a little TLC as most things inside seem very old, and more thought about what guests need during their stay. That said, Location was great, 20 mins or so walk to Nerja centre, 5 mins walk to the beach (near Marinas de Nerja) where buses also ran regularly to Nerja costing only €1.20. We had a very nice holiday but was also pleased to have a warm shower back in the UK on our return!

Nice villa but lacking essentials

The villa is very private and very quiet, which is lovely. The beach is just a five minute walk away, and the surrounding roads are good for running. The pool was excellent, although not very big. We struggled with the heat at night, there are no fans in the villa, no air con, and no screens on the windows so we were plagued by mosquitos our entire stay. The shower in the bathroom is awful, it isn’t even a proper shower head, it’s a small handle with most of the holes not working and it doesn’t even stay on the wall, and if the water pressure from the tap gets too low (when you actually try to make it hot) it turns off. We did complain that it didn’t work and the man came to check it, but the only solution he offered was to take cold showers to keep the water pressure higher. We were provided a couple of fans by the hosts after requesting them. I think if the basics were fixed (provide an actual shower!) and there were screens so you could at least open the windows without being eaten by mosquitoes then this villa would be much better.

Beautiful

As a family of 5, we really enjoyed our stay at Villa Emilia. The property is located down a dirt track, but Emilia provided very accurate instructions of how to get there with a map showing the exact location. The outside of this property is truly beautiful. The pool/garden/bbq was enjoyed by us all and we spent every single day around it, the children had so much fun. Just a little tip though, as you are surrounded by farmland like area, I would suggest bringing mosquitos spray as we did get eaten alive. The inside of the property has a rustic feel, the shutters, stained glass windows and front door are beautiful. It was adequately equipped for us all, but if I could make one small suggestion, it would be that the shower hose could be higher, because at the moment you have to hold the hose to wash yourself down rather stand underneath it, but this wasn’t a major issue for us. The property is situated around an avocado plantation and surrounding farm like area. Because of this unfortunately you do hear animals and dogs barking all throughout the night, you can mostly hear this on the 3rd floor, so just a little tip to bring ear plugs. This is nothing the owner can control and it didn’t bother us too much. We did get to see horses and goats along the dirt track, which the children loved. To get into Nerja Town Centre you can either walk along the road walkway or along the beach which was around 30 min. The big supermarket was also around 30 walk along the road walkway Emilia herself was super helpful and answered all questions very promptly. This property is great for the price and we will definitely be returning next year!

Agradable estancia

La casa es tal cual la imagen, a nosotros nos gustó mucho y el hecho de poder ir con mi perrita ayudó bastante. Nos dejaron entrar antes, cosa que se agradece muchisimo y las respuestas tanto por esta web como por whatsapp, super rapidas. Tienen hasta toalla de playa a disposicion :) Si tengo que poner 1 pero: que solo hay un baño y si vais 6 personas pues se complica un pelin mas. Pero en general calidad precio, buenisima. :)

Lugar perfecto si buscáis un sitio tranquilo donde pasar unos días de verano, está en el campo, se accede por un camino de tierra, pero se puede ir a la playa andando ya que se encuentra muy cerca. Las instalaciones limpias y en buenas condiciones. Lo recomiendo

Hermosa estancia

La verdad q la casa es una maravilla, no pudismo utilizar mucho la piscina pero x una cuestión del clima. Lo único malo es el acceso de entrada. Tener cuidado los coches q sean bajos xq la entrada no es muy buena. Nosotros fuimos en una SUV y ahí ahí andábamos. Por todo lo demás, sin ningún problema.

Muy deficiente

La casa necesita arreglos. Puertas que no cierran,muebles con telarañas,un solo baño para 6 personas es poco. Luces en la fachada y en el jardín que no funciona, por lo cual por la noche no se podía utilizar el jardín.La ducha de la piscina rota.Un camino de acceso a la casa,lleno de baches y poco transitable, el coche al sol todo el día,podría tener un tejado . En fin necesita muchos arreglos para poder disfrutar de ella . La parte de la barbacoa tampoco funciona las luces.
