WKD Escape - Custom Waterfront Home! Perfect for multiple families!

Lake James offers the perfect combination of lake and mountain backdrop, and is not as populated as other nearby lakes. Our house is on a level area and has easy access to our private covered dock, only 100 feet to the water with no stairs to climb. There are also two paddle boards, 6 Kayak/Canoes, and a swim platform available for use. Not only will you love the access to the lake for water activities, but you will absolutely love the home! No detail was left out in the design and layout, with three bedrooms with king beds and en suite bathrooms upstairs, a half bath, a mudroom with double washers and dryers. The large kitchen features a large dining table, an oversized island, a large professional grade refrigerator, a large induction stove, double dishwashers and trash bins, and the best feature of all- the accordion style windows that open to the patio bar for grilling. The vaulted ceilings in the living room carry through to the large upper patio that is beautifully furnished with outdoor seating, a custom dining table and a large Weber grill. The downstairs level features a large living area, kids play area, a large bunk room and hall bathroom, and a double twin room with an en suite bathroom. There is also a recreation room downstairs with a pool table, table tennis, dart board, bag toss and more. You can access the lake from the furnished lower patio as well.

Since the home is new and very well maintained, we do not allow guest to bring pets to the property.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 5.5 bathrooms, and a balcony. There's space to spread out with 5 bedrooms and a dining area. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

The house is beautiful and clean and fully equipped and completely kid-friendly. Each bedroom has its own bathroom! The lake is so easy to get to - I think one of the easiest of all the houses around there. Plenty of kayaks to use and we enjoyed them! We absolutely loved our stay there and hope to return!

Beautiful home! They thought of everything for a fun and comfortable stay. The play room is huge and full of organized toys, books, puzzles, riding horse, etc. Big screen TV. Another large room with pool and ping ball tables. Putting green, dart board and free weights for the adults. There are lots of lake toys. Inside and outside safety gates installed at the stairs for the little ones. The kitchen has everything you need with upscale appliances and two dishwashers. Highly recommend cooking and grilling your own food. The downtown area does not offer great quality restaurant options. Backyard and deck fire pits. We will definitely return!

Ideal Family Vacation Home!

This home is the perfect vacation home for a family. The owners have thought of everything! We had 6 adults and 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 3-10, and there was something for everyone. The downstairs has toys for all of the kids to keep them entertained when not on the lake, and there is also a pool table and ping pong table. The kitchen is large with two dishwashers, double refrigerator /freezer, and is well equipped for all of your cooking needs. the laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. Outside, there is a fleet of kayaks, two very nice paddle boards, 20-foot floating pad, large deck with plenty of seating. We brought our own boat, and the boat ramp was a 10-minute drive from the house. There is a Dollar General store about 3 miles away, and there is also a Dollar General Grocery store a mile past the Dollar General store. The grocery store has all of the items you would expect from any grocery store, just limited varieties. If you want to go to a larger grocery store, there is an Ingles located in Marion, about a 15-minute drive. Our host, Kim, was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive. We are already planning our next trip to stay at this home! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Amazing Stay

The home is as beautiful and as comfortable as the photos suggest. We thoroughly enjoyed the enormous covered back deck where we ate our meals and relaxed around the gas fire pit. The access to the lake is very easy and the dock is large and accommodated our boat nicely. The kitchen is extremely well stocked (one of the nicest kitchens I've cooked in) with a large refrigerator that made grocery trips less frequent for our large group. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were well appointed. We were traveling with teenagers who enjoyed the game room. The house is also very well suited for younger children. We look forward to returning soon!

Just what we were looking for!

Our family had a fine time at this lakehouse. Communication with the host was easy. The little ones really enjoyed the play space inside and the lake. We prepared our meals in a very well-appointed kitchen and dined both inside and out on the porch. The tap water is filtered, so no need to bring in water bottles. Everyone enjoyed the lake and paddleboards. We found the beds to be comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. We hope to return.
