Wonderful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in Atlantis away from all the busier parts of the resort. Atlantis was a lot fun for the entire family but be prepared for the expensive prices, especially in the nicer restaurants. Our only major complaint (and it is a biggie) was the HORRIBLE wifi coverage in The Reef hotel rooms. Wifi in the lobby area and around the water amusements was okay.

Upon checking into the room we noticed the lights above the bed were out except one that flickered, lamp and shower handle were broken, I called down shortly after, within15 minutes hotel staff had come up and corrected the issues. For the most part all the staff was friendly except at the water rapids, incredibly rude!

The wife and I loved our time at Atlantis. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that some of the light bulbs were not working in the room and there was not a plug next to the bed to charge my phone. Other than that everything was great!

Not bad but I have to cut my vacation short due to my daughter sickness

Enjoyed The Reef. Great location, views water park. Good time all around

This was my 5th time visiting Atlantis Paradise Island, but the first time at The Reef. I loved everything about it. This property is a condo/hotel, so it is a lot less busy than the other hotels at the property. My room was spectacular. I had a wrap around balcony that overlooked the harbor (Dolphin Cay) and the ocean on 3 sides (looking toward the Cove). It is honestly the most beautiful view I have ever seen. I will never forget it. The decor/furnishings in the room were top notch, and more like an apartment than a hotel. It was very spacious, with a huge entry way, huge bathroom with double sinks, soaking tub, rainfall shower, bed area and separate living area. There was also a compact kitchenette area along one wall with microwave, cooktop, refrigerator, sink. The service and hotel was top notch. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I loved that there was a Starbucks in the lobby...where I was greeted by name every morning. This hotel is the furthest from everything at Atlantis, so if you want quiet, you can stay around their pool which was quiet and relaxing. If you wanted the activities and action, that was a 10-15 minute walk away. I did not mind that, because everything that the eye can see is beautiful along the way. The beach by the Cove and Reef is by far the best. The water is so calm and warm. The water is crystal clear and the sand is white. The activities at Atlantis are the best! I love all the Aquaventure, the water slides, lazy river, etc. You could spend all day on the go. It is expensive, but definitely worth every penny.

To our family, the Reef at Atlantis is truly paradise. From the wonderful suites, the great restaurants, the beautiful beach and the incredible service. Not to mention the amazing waterpark and aquarium. This is truly one of the best places on earth!

Very nice hotel but really expensive what you received... The food was not that great and again very overpriced!

If you are debating between the Cove and the Reef hotel, I can tell you without any doubt, stay at the Reef and you will not be disappointed. The only difference is that the Cove has Adult access to the Cain Pool and trust me you are not missing anything, unless you are looking to meet someone new and even then it is not all that great. Bottom line save the money.

The staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating, Food is expensive, but very good. Water is $9 a bottle so recommend you go to a local grocery store and buy a case. For a family, it is a good idea to pick up cereal, milk, bread, lunch meat, and basics if you are staying a week or longer. Everything and everyone is laid back, so do not expect "New York minute" responses (smiles).

The Reef is very nice and the rooms are big and comfortable (although it does have more of a residential feel to it). A bit far removed from the rest of Atlantis and also no entry to the adults only pool at Cove which one would expect with the room rates we paid (close to $600/nt) In general, I found the Atlantis to be a real nickel and dime you to death place (all tips for staff - housekeeping, porters, and pool service are tacked on to the bill and are "nonnegotiable" which was a real turn off). Despite having to pay for porters (which we did not use) when we moved from the Reef to the Royal Towers (another property within Atlantis) we were told the bags could not be transferred and we had to pay for a taxi. Otherwise Atlantis is a fun place for both kids and adults alike. May not go back anytime soon but worth going at least once.

Stayed at the Reef. Great room and wonderfull service. The Reef and the Cove have a private beach and 3 pools. Very important during busy season

My husband and I had not gotten away by ourselves in several years. The Reef was the perfect Atlantis choice for us. We were away from the frenzy of casino and kids. The beach was beautiful and there was always a great choice of seating whether at the pool or on the beach. The staff was very attentive. Visitors should research quality of dining options. Dune and Greycliff was spectacular. Mesa Grill was a disappointment.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Reef. They treat you like Royalty, the rooms are gorgeous and the grounds are awe inspiring. I could not recommend the Reef more. It is absolutely amazing!

I have stayed at the Reef several times now, all equally enjoyable. The staff is extremely friendly, the hotel is always spotless, and it helps that it is in the perfect location. The hotel is far enough away from the main Atlantis hotel making it quieter with all of the amenities accessible with a quick walk. Overall, the reef hotel is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.

First time to Paradise Island and we had a great time. The Reef Atlantis was great, except for restaurant availability across the property. Restaurants were in high demand where reservations even a day in advance wasn't always enough of a lead time for the two of us. Really enjoyed the mornings at the Reef beach followed by afternoons at the Cove bar with the sun, DJ and adult atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Reef. I chose the Reef over the other Atlantis options because the rooms looked better than those at the Royal Towers, cheaper than the Cove - which connects to the Reef and you share pools and a beach - and you get a kitchenette so can make your own breakfast. I would stay at the Reef again. It was a great time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location.

Was nice and clean pool and beach. Food was not good though even at what they consider their best. But, we are spoiled in Chicago, IL. Would go again!

We stayed at the The Reef - Atlantis. The hotel was exquisite! The staff was top notch! Everyone, from towel attendant to the Concierge, greeted us with a smile on their faces, aimed to please, and anticipated our every need before we could, and truly made us feel appreciated. The decor was upscale and the amenities were wonderful. We enjoyed hanging out on the beach in the oversized chaise lounge chairs. The beach and several pools were within walking distance of the hotel. The outdoor deli was very convenient and offered a variety of food choices, hot and cold. I had so much fun at the Shallow-Water Dolphin Interaction at Dolphin Cay! It was a once in a lifetime experience. The shuttles were nice and traveled from door-to-door between each property during the day and ran on a limited schedule at night. If we wanted to walk, we could do this too. We truly enjoyed the aquariums in the different hotels. The variety of fish was amazing! The casino was nice, although we're not real gamblers. Club Aura was fun! The DJ played a wide variety of music and kept people on the dance floor all night long! The Straw Market downtown was just a short taxi ride away. Don't be turned off by the eager vendors, just browse at your leisure and buy what you like. You can get a wide variety of souvenirs. It was nice to have access to the Starbuck's in our building if we wanted to grab a quick bite at anytime during the day. Our favorite restaurant was Mesa Grill. Of course, anything associated with Bobby Flay has got to be good anyway! The food was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The only thing missing was a restaurant offering authentic Bahamian cuisine on-property. Despite the couple rainy days, this trip was the best experience we've had in a long time. We attribute this to the staff who exceeded our expectations! There were a ton of different things to do (excursions, scuba diving, snorkeling, different activities at the other hotels, etc.), but the main goal of our trip was to relax and reconnect as a couple. The Bahamas was a great place to do this!

nice place tons of kids great slides nice roomy suites a tad expensive
