Driving from Illinois to Florida, we were weary by time we hit Nashville. On this March 2021 Saturday night there were ZERO hotel rooms available at 9 p.m. Shocking news, during a pandemic. But we checked Orbitz & found this GEM of a hotel in Murfreesboro & booked online. By time we drove there 30 minutes later, even they were sold out.

This hotel was horrible! Our room smelled terribly musty, everything was unplugged from the a/c, the lamps, the fridge and even the alarm clock. Worst of all the bed had MOLD on it. We asked to change rooms and were told that was not allowed. I was immediately disappointed that I had used Orbitz because it was non-refundable since I booked through a 3rd party according to the young kid at the front desk. After much discussion and threatening to contact corporate, we were shown another room only to find red blood stains on the bed sheets. The 3rd room we were shown was at least habitable but still smelled very musty. Obviously, I did not get any good rest as I was afraid to lay in the bed. The breakfast that was advertised was non-existent. I understand not having a hot buffet with the pandemic however all other hotels have at least some grab n go items such as wrapped muffins, granola bars or fruit. When we asked about it we were told “No breakfast during Covid.” Should have had that on their website. Sure didn’t discount the room with no breakfast. The best part of our stay was leaving. Will NOT be staying at a Microtel again. Shame is that it cost as much as a 4-star hotel. ☹️

Terrible smell , dirty, needs a maintenance person.

Good location, great value for price paid. Clean and convenient nice breakfasts

I didn’t spend a lot of time at the hot3l while I stayed In Murfreesboro, and it was good as a place to crash after a long day. Staff was pretty friendly, but felt like a bit of an inconvenience when checking in and out. I lost a pair of headphones in my room, which was my fault. But I told the staff exactly where I left them and they never found them. After a follow up call saying they hadn’t found them , I called back to let them know exactly where I left them. The staff was rude and I never received any follow up after this call. It was convenient and close to the conference I was attending, but I would not stay there again.

The rooms were marginally clean. The check in wasn't good at all. Their idea of breakfast was a joke. They had very little in the way of amenities. The building appearance left me wishing I had stayed somewhere else. When I tried to cancel my reservation they said I would have to speak to a manager and they wouldn't be there until ten o'clock the next day. Keep in mind this was at three o'clock in the afternoon. So no I would never stay at one of your places again. gaylegoslin@sbcglobal.net

When we got there the property looked half way decent from the outside. When we went inside it was hot and had an old smell to it. We checked in and went to our room, opened the door and small the smallest room I've ever seen. The room was dusty, had DIRTY SHEETS on the bed next to the window. My friend pulls down the sheets to check the bed and finds hair all on the bed. I called the front desk to let the guy know that they sheets were dirty and that the room looked like it hadn't been dusted in a while. He was very attentive. He gave us new sheets that I had to go get and potentially put on the bed. When i pulled the sheets back all the way to take the comforter off we found a dirty wadded up napkin. That did it for me!! I called back down to the front desk and the guy came up and saw it for himself. I asked to just cancel my room and refund my money. He had no problem doing that at all. Service was great but room was nasty. If I would've stayed I know this review would've more than likely have been worse, I really felt there were bed bugs in the room. Anyways, we went to the Holiday Inn next door and had a wonderful experience.

We got two rooms and both rooms were really outdated. The beds were really dirty. Hairs were found all over the pillows and sheets. One of the rooms had a light switch that was not working. Room also had a very unpleasant scent.

Great place to stay for one night while passing through the city. Have stayed here several times.

I didn’t expect the Ritz at this price point but I was disappointed from the moment I walked in the lobby. The floor was missing trim in areas and paint was bubbling and peeling. Upon checking in and going to the room, the room had a stale odor that permeated everything. We checked in as a family of four and were given 3 wash clothes and 3 towels.

The air conditioning was loud and the towels was raggedy, had loose threads hanging off them

Dust over the a/c unit, hotel under reno apparently (didn't know this when I booked), towels were folded weirdly and were old. Basically tired, old hotel, which would've been fine but the dust was a big turn off. I turned on the a/c and quickly turned it off bc I wasn't sure if that was clean. Gross. Thank goodness we were there for only 8 hours.

Check in was easy pleasant staff. The room was so small the fridge was almost touching corner of be. It was a queen bed i think but for two i was uncomfortable and didn't sleep well. Breakfast was minimal, cereal muffins, bagels.

It is what you expect for the price. It seemed safe

Great stay.only problem no laundry room for guest

Outside of the spider that greeted me in my room I was pleased with the service. The front desk easy very helpful, especially the young lady who helped me with my dress. If I am in the area again I would stay there.

Small room with dirty little looks. Would not suggest anyone use this place. Now I see why it was cheap

Smelled of cigar smoke in non-smoking rooms. The shower head and handle were not properly attached and would move around when using. Needs a deep clean and update.
