Had a few problems with this hotel, unfortunately. They made everything right in the end, but it wasn't the best 4 star hotel experience I've had. The hotel itself is nice. It's an old historical building, has a nice waiting area with couches and a cocktail hour with music. The room was clean aside from a blonde hair I found on the counter near the coffee machine. I wish there was a microwave in the room. Had to go downstairs and trouble them to heat up a few plates of food. Staff were accommodating, but I felt like a bother. Got a premier room and I think upgrading was worth it. The room had a small separate room with a toilet and sink with mirror. A large walk in shower and sink with larger mirror in the other bathroom. There is a sliding barn door on the shower washroom. It doesn't lock, so it's a nice room for a couple, but maybe not a family. The issues I had - asked for early check in, hotel said no problem, then ended up checking us in an hour after the check in time. They ended up comping us for valet due to the inconvenience, but initially gave us a coupon for 2 free drinks (we don't drink). They then offered a breakfast voucher, but I already had breakfast included with my package, so that didn't make sense. There was something missing from the breakfast, so I also asked to be refunded for just that item. Overall, the stay was fine and the hotel's location is great. Very close to broadway. I just wish we had been able to check in on time and not had so many issues.
